Scientists have long known that some organisms can put their lives on hold in order to survive harsh environments, but this time they managed to revive a roundworm that had been dormant for 46,000 years in Siberian permafrost. It appears that this time-traveling worm has broken all previous records for dormancy; after being revived, the worms began to produce young.
