Scrutiny on the Securities and Exchange Board of India is mounting with each passing day. According to a new report, two Mauritius-based foreign portfolio investors, previously highlighted in the January 2023 Hindenburg Research report on the Adani group, have petitioned the securities appellate tribunal. They are seeking urgent relief from complying with SEBI’s new foreign investor norms, with the compliance deadline set for September 9.
