Russia celebrates 500th year of north polar exploration
The Rosatom Icebreaker of Knowledge International Arctic expedition started on August 13 from Murmansk. It is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry and the 500th anniversary of the beginning of Russia's exploration of the Northern Sea Route, which was established this year by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
