Rahul Gandhi stopped by police, local police cites threat to Gandhi's security as a reason
The Indian Northeastern State of Manipur has been hit by violence and vandalism since May 3 this year. The clashes between the Kuki ethnic group and the Meiteis, the dominant community have resulted in deaths, displacement and vandalism. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was stopped by police where he was supposed to visit the Manipur relief camps in Imphal and Churachandpur.
