Wildlife authorities in the Pakistani city of Karachi are spending most of their time at the beach monitoring green turtles who come to the area to lay eggs. Once the mother turtle leaves, the staff hurry to dig out the eggs and move them to a three-feet-deep pit in a hatchery. And eventually, the hatchlings are released into the sea.
