Nigeria: Parents pay school bills with recyclables

Children who could not afford education earlier can now get enrolled and study at the cost of waste in Nigeria. This school in Africa’s largest economy accepts recyclable waste as a mode of payment. Children are allowed to carry waste which is weighed at the school premise and its sales value is added to their account only to be used for paying the fees later.
