New Zealand’s capital Wellington is under renewed pressure from severe weather, with authorities urging residents in low-lying suburbs to evacuate as heavy rain continues to batter the city. Emergency services say they responded to around 150 calls overnight, as floodwaters surged into homes, forcing residents to escape in the dark.
