Researchers at MIT have developed an AI-powered ultrasound wristband that can track muscle, tendon and ligament movements beneath the skin and translate them into real-time commands for a robotic hand. The technology enables precise hand tracking without cameras or gloves and could have applications in robotics, surgery, virtual reality and future human-machine interaction. By collecting large datasets of human motion, the system could also help train the next generation of autonomous robotic systems.
