Madras HC hears plea on alleged cash-for-vote during polls
A massive ₹600 crore has been seized during Tamil Nadu polls as the Election Commission told the Madras High Court it is looking into alleged cash-for-vote cases. The HC was hearing a plea on money being distributed to influence voters. The EC also informed the court that children cannot be used in election-related activities and said the poll panel will consider new guidelines on campaigns.
