Madhya Pradesh joins BJP-ruled states pushing uniform civil code reforms

The BJP government in Madhya Pradesh is set to make one of its most politically consequential moves since coming to power, with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announcing that a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Bill will be introduced and passed during the Assembly’s monsoon session beginning July 20.
