India's Top Court Bans 'bulldozer Justice' | GRAVITAS
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court of India ruled against what is known as 'Bulldozer Justice'. It refers to demolition of buildings as an action taken against someone accused of a crime. The SC said that demolitions should be carried out with proper legal procedures in place. Property owners now have to be given a 15-day notice and even an opportunity to defend themselves.
