India Slams Pak's Election Plans in Gilgit-Baltistan

India has strongly criticised Pakistan’s reported plans to hold elections in Gilgit-Baltistan, reiterating that the region is an integral part of India. New Delhi condemned the move and accused Islamabad of attempting to alter the status of territories under its illegal occupation. The development adds fresh strain to already tense India-Pakistan relations over Jammu and Kashmir.
