India’s Defence Exports Surge after NATO Spending Push

India’s defence exports have skyrocketed from ₹1,500 crore in 2016 to ₹21,100 crore in 2024 — a 13-fold jump. With NATO pledging to raise defence spending to 5% of GDP by 2035, global defence stocks are rallying. Indian firms, such as HAL, BEL, and Bharat Dynamics, are gaining, while private sector participation reaches a record 62%.
