Sri Lanka’s Navy has rescued and brought ashore more than 200 crew members from the Iranian naval vessel IRIS Bushehr after the ship reported engine problems near its waters. The sailors were transported to Colombo Port and later moved to the Welisara Naval Base for medical checks and processing. The vessel is expected to be escorted to Trincomalee as authorities manage the humanitarian situation.
