Global think tank GTRI has proposed a ‘zero-for-zero’ tariff strategy to India which is expected to counter planned reciprocal tariff hikes by the US. According to the Global Trade Research Initiative, the strategy involves eliminating tariffs on industrial goods without a full trade agreement, aiming to prevent aggressive tariff increases.
