Australia has signed a multibillion-dollar AUKUS deal for nuclear-powered submarines. Washington is selling Canberra 3 Virginia-class attack submarines, but these vehicles will only be delivered in the 2030s, whereas, China's war in Taiwan could start in 3 years. Is the AUKUS deal nothing but an eyewash?
