Fire Disrupts Tata’s iPhone Component Plant, Affecting Apple Supply Chain
A fire at tata group’s iPhone component plant in Tamil Nadu has halted production indefinitely, disrupting apple’s supply chain just ahead of the festive season. As tata is the sole Indian supplier of iPhone back panels, this shutdown could hinder apple’s ability to meet local demand of 1.5 million units annually for the iPhone 14 and 15.
