The U.S. FDA has launched an urgent investigation after detecting traces of the radioactive isotope Caesium-137 in shrimp imported from Indonesia. The contaminated seafood originated from 22 aquaculture facilities near Jakarta. All affected shipments have been recalled, and decontamination efforts are now underway at the source. The alarming discovery has raised fresh concerns about food safety, radiation exposure, and cross-border regulatory oversight.
