Elon Musk has filed a lawsuit against Apple and OpenAI, accusing them of conspiring to suppress competition in the AI space—specifically targeting his AI startup, xAI, and its chatbot Grok.
The lawsuit, filed in Texas federal court, claims that Apple’s exclusive deal to integrate OpenAI’s ChatGPT into iPhones has effectively blocked xAI’s products from fair visibility on the App Store. Musk argues that this “lock-up” of generative AI access harms consumer choice and innovation.
