More than 150 years after Charles Darwin proposed his theory of ticklishness, new research has found evidence supporting his idea. Scientists discovered that body parts touched less frequently tend to be more ticklish. The study also mapped the most ticklish areas of the human body, including the neck, armpits, abdomen and feet, offering fresh insights into one of science’s oldest mysteries.
