Barely a week after the Cockroach Janata Party ended its protests in New Delhi, BJP continues to face political ramifications. Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor won the Bankipur seat, which was vacated by BJP National President Nitin Nabin. This was considered a BJP bastion. While retaining its seat in Gujarat, the party also lost a by-election in Madhya Pradesh.
