Xi Jinping, the Chinese president and general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, is making a state visit to Vietnam from December 12 to 13, at the invitation of Nguyen Phu Trong, the general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and Vo Van Thuong, the state president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
