China has lent hundreds of billions of dollars to build infra

China officially launched the Belt and Road Initiative, also known as BRI, almost five years ago. Nevertheless, a recent analysis claims that between 2008 and 2021, Asia's greatest economy paid 240 billion dollars simply to bail out 22 developing countries.
