China grew 0.8% in the April-June quarter of 2023

The big China GDP number is out. China grew by 6.3% in the April to June quarter of 2023. That's compared to the same period in 2022 when the economy barely grew. The latest number is still below analysts’ expectations and may force Chinese policymakers to unveil more measures to support the economy.
