Bacteria use plastic waste as a food source | WION Climate Tracker |

Experiments in the lab now show that species of a marine bacterium referred to as Rhodococcus Ruber break down plastic made from Polythene (PE) and are slowly consuming them. But scientists say that even if the bacteria eat at least 1% of ocean plastic, the remaining 99% has a devastating impact on wildlife. Alyson brings you the report.
