Thailand is facing unprecedented levels of heat. This comes amid the country battling a drastic increase in respiratory problems triggered by a spike in air pollution. Since the beginning of 2023, 2.4 million people needed treatment for medical problems due to air pollution, as per health officials. This includes nearly 200,000 in the last week alone.
