18-metre sperm whale dies on Bali beach despite rescue efforts
An 18-metre (59ft) sperm whale was found dead on the eastern coast of the Indonesian island of Bali on April 5, 2023. The marine mammal had earlier stranded itself on the shore of the holiday island and was successfully pushed back into deeper water by locals and officials.
