<p>A terrifying incident was caught on camera when a huge humpback whale landed on a small boat in Massachusetts, United States on Sunday. The shocking footage was posted to social media.&nbsp;</p>

<p>US-based media outlets reported that the boat that had a close encounter with a large whale was anchored off of White Horse Beach in Plymouth, Massachusetts.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the video, it is seen that all of a sudden, the whale jumped out of the water and crashed onto the boat. Media reports stated that there were no reports of injuries as all passengers were apparently to be at the stern of the boat, which did not capsize.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Ryder Parkhurst, a witness told NBC Boston: "It was insane. The guy was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, that's all. Pops up…bang! Right on the bow of the guy’s boat."&nbsp;</p>

<p>He added, "I just saw the boat go freaking flying, it was crazy. It was nuts. I couldn't believe the thing was still floating."&nbsp;</p>

<p>As quoted by local media outlets, the town said the Plymouth Harbormaster Department had forwarded information about the incident to the Massachusetts Environmental Police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It has been recommended by the Harbormaster Department to boaters to keep a distance of at least 100 yards from whales to "minimize potential interactions."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Many boats had been out in the area for recreational fishing on Sunday. It is understood that the bait fish were abundant, apparently, the reason why&nbsp;whales were attracted to the area.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In Russia’s remote Dikson settlement in the Arctic region, veterinarians have rescued a young female polar bear after the animal got a condensed milk can stuck in its mouth.</p>

<p>Before removing the sharp metal from its mouth, the Russian Natural Resources watchdog tranquillised the animal with a dart.</p>

<p>With a supply of fish left for the animal to eat as it would not be able to hunt on its own for some time, the bear named Monetochka was transported from Dikson to its natural environment.</p>

<p>Highlighting that the can had damaged the animal's tongue, a veterinarian from Moscow Zoo, Mikhail Alshinetsky said "It will most likely recover because the underlying muscles are not affected, the skin on the surface is damaged."</p>

<p>Shocking footage has emerged showing a terrifying moment when a huge Great White Shark smashed through the bars of a diver's cage. In the footage, the diver can be seen swimming to safety, saving his life. The footage, which was filed in 2020, was shared as part of Discovery’s Shark Week.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The video is based on Jimi Partington, who is a skilled diver. He climbed into the clear cage while the shark is seen nearby the cage, swimming among a shoal of fish.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Once he climbed, Jimi sees into the clear waters and watches the giant predator. The 16-foot shark got closer and closer on several occasions.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A heart-stopping moment in the video shows the shark smashing into the box all of a sudden. The thurst threw the diver into the sea. Jimi tries to jump back in but he gave up and swam to a nearby boat.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Speaking to CNN, Jeff Kurr producer and director of Discovery's 'Shark Week', said: "I have never seen something this terrifying before in my 32 years on Shark Week and it's also unbelievable that Jimi didn't get a scratch when he was struck by the shark."&nbsp;</p>

<p>He added: "We captured on camera the footage, we thought he was dead when the 16-foot-long shark came near him like that which is unsurvivable." Amazingly, Jimi eventually goes swimming again despite the close call.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Jimi said on Instagram: "It's been three years in the making and I can't wait for you all to see my incredible journey, including the closest I've ever been to a Great White Shark!!</p>

<p>“Thanks again for everyone who helped get me here after all that's happened, all my friends and family have been incredibly supportive and for that I'm so very grateful," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The toddler, living in Great Blakenham, Suffolk, has silvery white hair and due to the condition, her hair has become almost impossible to comb down. Davis' mother Charlotte and father Kevin have tried blow-drying and conditioning her hair but that made no difference to the quality.</p>

<p>"She was fluffy from when she was about one and then after that it started growing more and more outwards," Charlotte told Metro.</p>

Officials have revealed that a 73-year-old Maryland woman was attacked by sailfish when she was on a fishing boat in Florida. The authorities also said that her companions were trying to reel it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to a report from the Martin County Sheriff's Office, the woman was stabbed by the sailfish in the groin area with its pointed bill last Tuesday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per the incident report, two men who were on board with the victim noticed that the fish began to charge at the boat when they attempted to make the reel.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Talking to AFP, one of the department biologists&nbsp;Jason Stanley explained the snail "feeds on over 500 different species of plants" and&nbsp;a single big African snail may produce up to 2,000 eggs a year, which when combined with its huge appetite&nbsp;could be disastrous for the state's thriving agriculture industry.</p>

<p>Earlier in 1975 and again in 2021, other regions of Florida successfully exterminated the big African snail.&nbsp;The latter operation, which took place in Miami-Dade County and cost $23 million, lasted for ten years.</p>

<p>Thanks to snail-sniffing canines more than 1,000 gastropods have already been caught in the current "snail hunt".</p>

<p>In order to try to stop the snails from spreading further, the Florida Department of Agriculture has established a quarantine zone within New Port Richey, from&nbsp;where no plants or other vegetation may be removed.</p>

<p>They&nbsp;are also using metaldehyde, a pesticide that is safe for both humans and animals, to eradicate the giant snails</p>

<p>In a bizarre judgement, an Indian High Court has ruled that the removal of 'Mangalsutra' or 'thali' is "mental cruelty of highest order". Mangalsutra is a sacred thread worn around the neck by some Hindu women worn&nbsp;as a reflection of their marital status. The judgement in question came during the case of a man seeking a divorce. When granting the divorce to the aggrieved petitioner, a division bench of Justices V M Velumani and S Sounthar made the observation about Mangalsutra and the importance it holds in a Hindu marriage.&nbsp;In June 2016, C Sivakumar, a professor at a medical college in Erode, filed for divorce, however, a local court denied his request. Sivakumar had sought to have the decision overturned. Granting his request, the Madras High Court observed that removing the jewellery holds significance of its own.</p>

<p>The petitioners now ex-wife was examined during the proceedings and she admitted that while she and Sivakumar were separated she removed her thali and kept it in her bank locker.</p>

<p>Citing Section 7 of the Hindu Marriage Act, her attorney argued that thali is not required for marriage&nbsp;and that, even if their client removed it,&nbsp;the wife's removal of the thali would not have any effect on the marital bond.</p>

<p>It cited orders of a division bench of the High Court, which stated that "It was a known fact that no Hindu married woman would remove the thali at any point of time during the lifetime of her husband."</p>

<p>Since the judgement came to light, it has taken the Internet by storm and people have been quick to point out that being married and wearing a piece of jewellery have no real intrinsic connection. Some even compared it to tying a rope around a cow's neck.</p>

<p>But the light turned out to be something else. Cann Group, a pharmaceutical industry company, revealed the actual source of the pink glow to ABC Mildura-Swan Hill.&nbsp;</p>

<p>CEO Peter Crock told ABC Mildura-Swan Hill Breakfast on Wednesday that last night's pink phenomenon was the lights on in Cann Group's new area of its medicinal cannabis facility.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He said: "As you might know, cannabis grows on an extended day length. The flowering zone is 12 hours light and 12 hours dark, which is normally 7am to 7pm. With the new zone coming into use in the next day or two, we have had the lights on."&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Normally, the blackout blinds close at the same time as the sun sets, but last night we had the lights on and the blinds hadn't yet closed, so there was a period where it created a glow. At 7pm when we put the plants to sleep the lights went off," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>So it was a cannabis facility, not aliens. Phew!</p>

The couple operate a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation bus and have invested their own money for the embellishments in it. While Gopi is the driver, his wife Thara works as the conductor. Their story and a video of their bus has gone viral on social media.&nbsp;<br />
People in the district are fond of their bus as it’s interiors are decorated nicely and it even boasts of an excellent music system. A lot of people take pictures and videos of the bus on a daily basis and one such video caught the attention of millions of users on Facebook.</p>

Safety is not the only benefit in the bus as it also has one of the best entertainment setups – a music system, mechanised air fresheners, dolls to keep children engaged during the travel and an LED system.</p>

<p>The creamy Butter Chicken is perhaps one of the most well-known Indian meals outside of India, while Mac 'n' Cheese is also quite well-liked. It serves as comfort food for many. An American cook then combined the two and added Desi tadka to the cheese treat.</p>

<p>A substantial bowl of macaroni with burnt raclette on top and garnished with dhaniya or chopped coriander is shown in pictures the chef posted on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. "Comfort cuisine from India and America collides.&nbsp;Chef Hamzah S from Dallas, Texas wrote about his east meets west recipe, "Butter Chicken Mac &amp; Cheese."</p>

<p>While he did not reveal the recipe, he explained how he achieved the result that many found "delectable." "Started off with your typical butter chicken base, then added 3 cheeses and my favourite noodles. <p>In order to help bring a healthier office culture to the country, Japan's Itoki Corporation and Koyoju Gohan KK are partnering to release vertical "nap boxes".</p>

<p>While Koyoju Gohan is designing the boxes, furniture specialist Itoki acquired a signed license agreement for the joint venture.</p>

<p>Japan, where people who sleep during the day are called inemuri, is infamous for overlong work office hours among employees.</p>

<p>Saeko Kawashima, communications director at Itoki told Bloomberg that "In Japan, there are a lot of people who will lock themselves up in the bathroom for a while, which I don't think is healthy. It's better to sleep in a comfortable location."</p>

Unlikely camaraderie: Swiggy delivery boy helping Zomato counterpart leaves netizens impressed

A similar thing happened at a Red Lobster restaurant in Florida. The restaurant was almost going to cook a one in 30 million lobster when staff noticed the unusual colour.</p>

<p>And from here, started the tale of 'Cheddar', named after restaurant's famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits. The lobster arrived in a shipment to the restaurant. Just before it was going to be cooked, its bright orange colour caused intrigue amid the staff.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Red Lobster staff then reached out to Ripley's Aquarium at Myrtle Beach, Florida. This proved to be the right step as the aquarium sent two experts at the restaurant to check what the matter was. It was observed to be an extremely rare orange lobster, rarer even than even blue lobster.</p>

<p>As reported by CNN, the experts carefully packed up the lobster and brought it at Ripley's Marine Science Research Center. The lobster will acclimate at the research center before heading to the aquarium.</p>

<p>“Sometimes ordinary miracles happen, and Cheddar is one of them,” said Mario Roque, a manager at Red Lobster who led the rescue of Cheddar. He was quoted in a press release by Red Lobster restaurant.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“ A group of incredible people helped us make this possible. We are so honored to have been able to save Cheddar and find her a good home.”</p>

<p>The offer allows the customers to pay for one litre of beer with a similar quantity of sunflower oil.</p>

<p>"The whole thing came up because we simply ran out of oil in the kitchen and that's why we have to be inventive," the pub manager, Erik Hoffmann, told Reuters TV.</p>
