Here's why I think the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 may inspire loyalists to make the switch.

The Galaxy Watch 4 comes with a classic round dial and looks like a fitness tracker more than a watch and that's not a complaint. I know people who have a problem with smartwatches being too "bulky", too "skinny" or too "small" to see their workout performance. The Watch 4 is none of that. You get a physical bezel that is surprisingly sturdy, two side buttons, and an overall durable yet chic-looking smartwatch.

I will say that I am not a fan of the sporty yet slightly uncomfortable strap when it comes to aesthetics but I do think it's the perfect rudimentary strap for sweaty workouts

The 40mm real estate is quite enough especially with its crystal-clear display. You can set up a watch face with all your notifications stacked up but that may guzzle down the battery faster.

SOFTWARE: IS IT THE "REAL TEAM PLAYER"?

Samsung has labelled the operating system on the Galaxy Watch 4 "a real team player" and that's because it is the first smartwatch with Wear OS powered by Samsung. This means that the power of Google and Samsung comes together to make the user interface cleaner, neater, more intuitive. And it performs well.

Pair the smartwatch with the Galaxy Wearable app and apps play seamlessly from music, health to fitness. Samsung has been clever here. The Tizen OS hangover persists and Samsung Wearable loyalists will jump at it. And now with Wear OS, a new market of smartwatch users will lean towards the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4.

You can customise the UI how you see fit and pick from several watch faces from analogue to digital. And if you're someone who looks at your wrist more than at your phone, you don't have to worry about missing out on an important notification.

WILL THIS WATCH GET YOU MOVING?

We come back to my original question, are you buying a watch to make you fit or because you're already a fitness enthusiast? Because no piece of technology can make you fit alone. Having said that, the Galaxy Watch 4 has a lot to offer. You can pick from swimming, biking, running, golf, hiking to a lot more.&nbsp;

A feature worth mentioning is the new&nbsp;Samsung BioActive Sensor which captures your body composition in real-time to help you manage your health goals. Like all health metrics, take this with a pinch of salt. Treat this as a roadmap for your fitness goals.

There are of course all those metrics and sensors for sleep tracking, heart rate tracking, and even SPO2 tracking which has now become a new favorite during the pandemic.&nbsp;

Another headline-maker was the ECG feature made famous by the Apple Watch that Samsung will bring to India soon hopefully. However, let me be frank, I doubt anyone relies on a smartwatch for their ECG readings. I will say that it's a good way to keep track of your heart health.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4: King of android smartwatches?

Another fake account on Facebook, which is running scams related to cryptocurrency after impersonating Tesla owner Elon Musk has been identified. Surprisingly, the account has a blue tick, meaning it is verified and has a following of over 71k&nbsp;and follows 57 accounts.&nbsp;

The billionaire's name is used as the page's name with a little tweak in the spelling of Elon Musk - it is written as 'ellonnmusk'. However, the user name on the account appears as 'Elon Musk'.&nbsp;

A report on Web News Observer stated that a 25-year-old security researcher Ehraz Ahmed came across the Facebook page that is running a scam. Earlier, Ahmed had reported a similar scam.&nbsp;

After analysing the activity on the account, it appeared that the page was made active after the previous one was shut. The activity on the page pointed out that the page came into use on November 26.&nbsp;

As quoted by Web News Observer, Ahmed said, "Since Bitcoin scams are becoming frequent and common, I was once again busy researching about them. To my surprise, I came across another verified page of Elon Musk."

"By visiting the Page Transparency section, I noticed that this page, unlike the previous ones, was created back in May 2015. The location of the admins is, once again, Germany and Spain, which may mean that these scammers are the same people who were behind the previous similar scams," he added.&nbsp;

Ahmed also talked about the latest post by the scammer where they are announcing that Musk is all set to come up with a new digital currency named Musk Coin.&nbsp;

I also liked the warm backlight which comes in hand during night-time reading because of which your partner or bedfellow will not be disturbed. You also get more backlight LEDs which are only noticeable when you use the gadget for hours at a stretch.

The new Kindle offers a 10-week battery life. I usually take all claims with a pinch of salt since a gadget's lifespan and battery life always depends on its user's lifestyle and habits. I have been using the Kindle Paperwhite for around four weeks now and I am yet to charge it. If you switch on airplane mode on the Kindle, I reckon that battery will hit the 10-week battery claim easily. However, if you connect your Kindle to Wi-Fi, you would be able to look up complex words with only a minor dent in the battery life.

Let's tell you about the most exciting aspect about the new Kindle. Alas, you get a USB-C charger. The same cable that you use for your phones, tablets and even laptops can now be used to charge your Kindle. This is what makes life simpler for the user and reduces the spaghetti of cables in your travel bag. I would definitely be travelling with my Kindle for my next holiday if only to make use of a single cable to charge multiple devices. Even when you need to charge your Kindle, it can be done in around 2.5 hours or so.

It started when anti-extremism researcher Kristofer Goldsmith tweeted a screenshot of a far-right call-to-action circulating on Telegram: "Due to the new privacy policy at Twitter, things now unexpectedly work more in our favour."

Through this, people who are concerned about their intimate images being shared online without their consent can submit a case on the platform. Once the complaint is registered, the tool will use its hash-generating technology to assign a unique hash value to an image, which will create a secure digital print.

The participating companies will then use that hash to check if any related image has been uploaded anywhere on their platforms. However, the safer part of this is that the original image will not be transferred in any way from the owner’s device. The technology will only use hashes, and not the images. This means these images will not be circulated further, thus keeping the images safe.
