<p>Hundreds of yoga enthusiasts gathered on the runway of Bangkok's main airport on Saturday (April 27), reaching toward the reddening sky as they laid out their mats.</p>

<p>Despite the early morning flights rumbling overhead, participants engaged in their yoga practice, including the downward dog pose. This unique event took place on the airport's third runway, which is still under construction.</p>

<p>Alongside the workout, participants were provided with beverages such as coconut, iced tea, and water to enhance their routine. Around 500 yoga practitioners and camera-ready influencers began arriving at 5:00 am, navigating in the darkness to find their designated spots on the runway.</p>

<p>As the sun came up, yoga instructors led the group through two sessions with high spirits, despite the pollution, industrial surroundings, and occasional airplane noise.</p>

<p>"Feel like a beautiful bird," she said, as a plane rumbled along the concrete and lifted into the air behind the participants.</p>

<p>Although many attendees were influencers, possibly more concerned with capturing the perfect shot than executing the perfect lunge, most appeared to be there for a good time.</p>

<p>"This was something fun, this was a nice event," said lawyer Rugeradh Tungsupakul, attending with a friend.</p>

<p>"Right now, because of our jobs, we are too busy to go to a yoga studio," she told AFP.</p>

<p>Despite Rugeradh's concerns about pollution, a common problem in the smoggy city of Bangkok, which often ranks among the world's most polluted cities, she mentioned that they had checked the air quality before heading to the event.</p>

'Feel like a beautiful bird': Mass yoga session takes place on Bangkok airport tarmac

<p>A woman's yoga session took an unexpected turn when she allegedly broke into Phillippa’s Bakery after her stretching routine in the parking lot of&nbsp;Melbourne city in&nbsp;Australia.</p>

<p>Surveillance footage captured the woman dressed in black, stretching her legs and body outside the bakery at 3 am on March 17.</p>

<p>After her impromptu yoga session, the suspect reportedly entered the bakery and made off with an assortment of items, including croissants, an iPad, chef’s shoes, and cleaning products, according to&nbsp;<em>9 News</em>.</p>

<p>Bakery staff shared the surveillance footage on social media, stating, "We were quite surprised when we saw the security footage from a recent break in at our Bakery HQ."&nbsp;</p>

<p>The bakery suggested that the croissants might have been too tempting for the flexible burglar, jokingly adding, "Seems like yoga is a must before breaking in. A few things were stolen, including some croissants which were clearly too tempting for this flexible burglar."</p>

‘Flexible burglar’: Woman caught doing yoga before stealing croissants from bakery | Watch

<p>Authorities in France on Tuesday (November 28) arrested the leader of a controversial yoga guru and 40 others, reported AFP. The sect led by Romanian guru Gregorian Bivolaru has been accused of numerous abuses. Bivolaru is already in the crosshairs of judicial authorities in Romania, Sweden and France.</p>

<p>AFP reported citing a source that the arrests were made in the Paris region and also in southern France.</p>

<p>It has been reported that during the operation, 26 women were freed. Many of them were held against their will by the sect. About 175 police officers were deployed for this operation.</p>

<p>Participants&nbsp;in the class, at the&nbsp;Seaside Cafe inside the North Sea Observatory in Chapel St Leonards, were in the midst of meditating, on Wednesday night (September 6) when the British police showed up.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In an interview with the Washington Post, yoga instructor, Millie Laws said that the room was lit only by some candlelights and the class was practising 'Shavasana' – sometimes called 'corpse pose', which typically happens at the end of a yoga class, where people enter a meditative state by lying on their backs.</p>

<p>The Seascape cafe took to their Facebook page and said, “If anyone heard the mass of police sirens in Chapel St Leonards at 9:30 pm (local time) last night then please be reassured….”</p>

<p>“They were on their way to the observatory after someone had reported a mass killing in our building. Having seen several people lying on the floor.”&nbsp;</p>

The mark to be was 140 nationalities. Today in New York, at the UN, they have 135. It is a new Guinness world records title."</p>

<p>"Yoga comes from India, it is an old tradition. Yoga is free from copyright, free from patents, and free from royalty," the prime minister said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A Yoga Day event held in Surat city of the Indian state &nbsp;Gujarat on Wednesday created a new Guinness World Record for the largest congregation of people in a yoga session with the participation of 1.53 lakh people in the programme, said officials.</p>

<p>"The Yoga Day event in Surat has set a new Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people for a yoga session in one place. More than one lakh people took part in the event and broke the previous record," stated Gujarat Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi.</p>
