<p>Sharing the now-viral video that already has more than 895,000 views, Nath wrote: "An elderly gentleman submitted his passport for renewal. He was not aware of what someone in his house did. The officer has still not recovered from the shock after seeing this."</p>

<p>Some decades ago, in 1981, Farouk El-Baz, a geologist writing in the Smithsonian Magazine, theorised that like the pyramids, the Egyptians didn't create the mighty Sphinx from scratch. Instead, he speculated that the desert winds had a hand in the formation of the overall contours of the Abū al-Hawl, or "Father of Terror."</p>

<p>Using fluid dynamics, scientists from the New York University (NYU) created miniature, lion-like landforms from clay. They deduced that it is actually possible that ancient Egyptians were inspired by the shape of a rock and visualised the Sphinx as we know it.</p>

<p>Led by Leif Ristroph, the team from New York University was originally studying how water eroded clay when they were "struck" by a familiar shape.</p>

<p>"We were struck by the resemblance to a seated lion or a lion in repose. And I was reading about this and came across the idea that perhaps even the Great Sphinx was one of these natural formations that then got, obviously, a little facelift from the ancient Egyptians," said Ristroph, in a conversation with New Science. Their findings have been published in&nbsp;Physical Review Fluids.</p>

She says that these Yardangs also exist on Mars, where the lack of water has allowed erosion to create sphinx-like shapes.</p>

<p>Ristroph and his colleagues are now working on developing a mathematical description of the geological process that may have contributed to the Sphinx's origins.</p>

<p>The device captured an enchanting chorus of vibrations reverberating through the branches and penetrating the earth. It even magnifies the faintest sound during a thunderstorm, as reported by The Guardian.</p>

<p>"Hydrophones don't just need water to work," said Rice.</p>

<p>"They can pick up vibrations from surfaces like roots as well, and when I put on my headphones, I was instantly surprised. Something was happening. There was a faint sound."</p>

<p>Through these captivating recordings, the interconnectedness of Pando's root system became evident, providing a glimpse into the mysteries of this enigmatic, natural wonder.</p>

<p>In an ordinary field in North Essex, England, a metal detectorist has made an exciting historical discovery dating back to the Middle Ages.</p>

<p>The detectorist found a gold medieval ring engraved with a beautiful declaration of love and a silver hooked tag. The finds, as per BBC, are subject to a coroner's inquest at Chelmsford.</p>

<p>The gold medieval ring with a love declaration in French was found near Frinton. On another occasion, the same detectorist landed upon a silver hooked tag in the field.</p>

<p>"Je desir vous Ceruir," reads the ring. This French term is a declaration of love and translates to "I desire to serve you".&nbsp;The language is a type of French used in England during the Middle Ages.</p>

<p>The gold ring was found in a cracked condition and is pretty small, with a diameter of merely 9.4 millimetres, and a width of 3.9 millimetres, reports BBC News.</p>

<p>Its style, as per experts, was popular between 1400 and 1500 — rings with chivalric mottos were all the rage back then. Smitten by their love, in a courtly love tradition, men would often have mottos like "I desire to serve you" or "wish to obey" engraved as promises.</p>

<p>They also believe it belonged to someone with an elite status, and a connection to the French.</p>

<h2><strong>'I desire to serve you'</strong></h2>

<p>The ring, though pretty small, belonged to a man, speculates Lori Rogerson, the Essex County Finds Liaison Officer for the Colchester and Ipswich Museum Service.</p>

<p>She said the ring is so "tiny it only fits on my little finger" and that it was probably worn on all joints of all the fingers.</p>

<p>The metal detectorist also found a Tudor silver-gilt hooked tag that women probably used to hold up one layer of skirt from another, so both were visible.</p>

<p>Talking to the Telegraph, Rogerson detailed that Abigail with provide him with advice and insights on a variety of issues, ranging from how to support fellow teachers and staff members, to helping students with learning disabilities like ADHD and writing school policies.</p>

<p>No. Talking to Telegraph, Rogerson said that having the robot around doesn't mean you don't ever seek counsel from humans.</p>

<p>He said,&nbsp;"Sometimes having someone or something there to help you is a very calming influence."</p>

<p>As per the 'human' headmaster, the school has the highest number of teachers in its 130-year history and the robot will not replace human teachers.</p>

In the worst-case scenario, the impact could cost us billions, or even trillions, of dollars in lost GDP," he said.</p>

<p>"This is the big question: will our communications, electricity grids and satellites mostly be able to withstand their impacts and just suffer temporary effects before quickly coming back online? Or will they catastrophically fail?" added Heaton.</p>

Leading up to the test run, the US government prepped the public to not be shocked when the test goes off at 2:20 pm on October 4. Yet, it did manage to surprise people since it&nbsp;went off at 2:18 pm, two minutes before schedule.</p>

<p>The unidentified man, to locals, is known as Stoneman Willie and has for long been a creepy part of the city's lore. For the past many years, the mummy has been on display, satiating the curious gazes of tourists, locals, both adults and children.</p>

<h2><strong>Stoneman Willie</strong></h2>

<p>The petty thief, as per Reuters, died on 19 November 1895, in a local jail. His remains were then accidentally mummified by a mortician who was experimenting with new embalming techniques.</p>

<p>Since his death in November 1985, his remains have been on display at Auman's Funeral Home.</p>

<h2><strong>Why was he embalmed?</strong></h2>

<p>As the thief's true identity was not known to the authorities, their search for a next of kin wasn't fruitful. While they searched for his family, the funeral home attempted an experimental embalming technique on him.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When the search failed, the funeral home petitioned the state for permission to keep the thief's body instead of burying it. The funeral home reportedly did this because they wanted to monitor the experimental embalming process.</p>

<h2><strong>True identity</strong></h2>

<p>More than 100 years after Stoneman Willie's death, the funeral home, using modern technology and a thorough search of historic documents, may have finally uncovered Stoneman Willie's true identity.</p>

<p>This is exactly what happened in the land Down Under, where a woman reported that her partner, 35-year-old tradesman named Paul Iera, has been kidnapped by a group of Middle Eastern kidnappers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, in the end this turned out to be a ploy by the Aussie Romeo to spend time with his mistress, and now the Casanova has to pay for sending police on a wild goose chase.</p>

<h2><strong>Big plans</strong></h2>

<p>On New Year's Eve 2022, Paul Iera had big plans for the night, and they didn't involve watching fireworks with his partner.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Instead, this Aussie Casanova had a date with his mistress, and he was willing to go to great lengths to make it happen. To escape spending time with his girlfriend, Iera came up with an ingenious plan of faking his own kidnapping.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It was a foolproof plan, or so he thought.</p>

<p>Spinning a web of lies, he told his partner he was meeting with his "financial guy," reports CNN affiliate 9 News.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A plausible excuse, right? But even the best-laid plans can go awry, especially when your partner starts asking questions. In a desperate bid to buy time, Paul and his mistress concocted a text message that would set off a chain of events that would rival any Hollywood thriller.</p>

<p>The message read: "Thank you for sending Paul to me, now payback is a ***** bye bye. We will keep him with us until the morning wen (sic) he gives us his bike we call it square."&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Police get involved</strong></h2>

<p>Understandably worried, Paul's partner reported it to the police, just minutes before the stroke of midnight.&nbsp;</p>

<p>And with that, the stage was set for an unforgettable New Year's Eve.</p>

<p>Springing into action, police launched a full-scale investigation into the "kidnapping".&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Paul and his mistress were cruising through the night, unaware of the storm brewing back home. In the morning, the pair had their escape intercepted by the police. They were pulled over by authorities, who expected to find kidnappers in Iera's van, but only found him and his mistress.</p>

<p>The Ramos family initiated the lawsuit in 2022. Initially, Ford was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She ultimately pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of deadly conduct and received a sentence of one year deferred adjudication, which she successfully completed in June, according to court records.</p>

<p>Using a key she still had in her possession, the woman sneaked into the park before the hours and "borrowed" the alligator without permission.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Stephan then kept the juvenile alligator in a bath tub at the Grove Resort and Water Park in Winter Garden, the venue of her birthday celebrations.</p>

<p>Talking to the press, Perry said: "The Strength of the Hijab is a piece which represents women who wear hijabs of the Islamic faith, and it's really there because it's such an underrepresented part of our community, but such an important one."</p>

<h2><strong>Controversial sculpture</strong></h2>

<p>Perry, as per BBC, has previously designed the 'Black British History is British History' sculpture.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"They need visibility, it's so important, so working with the community to come up with the designs has been really exciting because we didn't know what it was going to look like until now," he said about the 'Strength of Hijab' sculpture.</p>

<p>The 'Black British History is British History' sculpture was designed by Perry and Canaan Brown, and was installed in Winson Green in May. However, shortly after it was installed, the sculpture was defaced.</p>

<p>As per BBC, Perry has acknowledged that the upcoming sculpture could also be controversial.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"There's a possibility that this piece could be controversial for many different reasons."</p>

<p>"But the future of our country is about what unites us, not what pulls us apart, which is why it's important to have representation across the whole of the UK, of everybody that lives here."</p>

<p>"The reaction has been really, really positive," he said.</p>

<p>In the video, you can see how the seal pups run back to the sea after being freed from the clutches of the fish net. Posting the video, Suter wrote: "Yesterday, we were in the West Coast National Park in South Africa. Fortunately, we were able to rescue three seals that were entangled in a net. In this video, you can only see two of them - so grateful they all made it."</p>

<p>"It was a very tangible reminder of how important it is to educate ourselves, clean up our beaches and work to ensure plastic and things like this are not in our oceans. There is so much plastic and other waste, I can't imagine what animals go through," he added.</p>

<h2><strong>What the animals go through</strong></h2>

<p>As per World Animal Protection, an international non-profit organisation that has been working for animal welfare for over 50 years, thousands of marine animals die due to human fishing gear every year.</p>

<p>"Every year, over 136,000 whales, dolphins, seals and turtles are caught in ghost gear – lost, discarded or abandoned fishing equipment."</p>

<p>"A staggering 640,000 tonnes, the equivalent of 52,000 London double decker buses, or 12 Sydney Harbour Bridges of ghost gear is left in our oceans annually. Some of these nets are bigger than football pitches."</p>

<p>As per the animal welfare organisation, fishing gears that are made to "capture and kill" marine animals "continue&nbsp;to do this after being left in the ocean."</p>

<p>For passengers travelling by Japan's flagship carrier, their vacations can now include the option to rent a selection of clothes. As per a BBC report, they can choose various options, including clothing type, season, style, and pickup and return dates.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The service, called 'Any Wear, Anywhere,' started in July of this year and will run till August 2024.</p>

<p>Miho Moriya, who works for Sumitomo, the Japanese company handling reservations, deliveries, and laundering, came up with the idea. She says that what inspired her to come with this was her own dread about luggage.</p>

<p>"I love travelling and I've been to many foreign countries, but I've always dreaded dragging around luggage or doing laundry abroad," she said.</p>

<p>Moriya says it took "many tries" to find an airline that would support her idea, and once it got approved, the implementation was pushed back due to the pandemic. Over time, she hopes to expand this service to other airlines within the OneWorld Alliance and eventually worldwide, contributing to sustainable travel practices.</p>

<h2><strong>How would it help the planet?</strong></h2>

<p>To begin with, it should help cut down on holiday shopping. Many people tend to shop, especially for their vacations. These clothes often end up sitting in their wardrobes once the holiday is over.</p>

<p>Clothes under the Any wear, Anywhere service are either pre-owned or sourced from company overstock. Furthermore, they will be cleaned and reused, which helps make the service sustainable.</p>

<p>Additionally, with travellers leaving their luggage at home, the aircraft will be lighter and thus help save on fuel and emissions.</p>

<p>This initiative aims to reduce carbon emissions by lowering the weight carried on JAL's aeroplanes. It is estimated that saving about 22 pounds (10 kg) in luggage equates to approximately 16.5 pounds (7.5 kg) saved in emissions.<br />

As per CNN, reducing weight is a proven way to save fuel and carbon emissions. Previously, Qantas airlines redesigned its tableware for first and business class to be about 11 per cent lighter. <p>There's nothing more irritating than noisy, crying children while travelling on a flight. Stuck for hours in the air, all you can do is put on earplugs that do little to dissipate the noise. For people&nbsp;who hate this, a Turkish-Dutch airline is set to introduce an “only adult” zone.</p>

<p>The service for now will be introduced on Turkish-Dutch Corendon Airlines flights between Amsterdam and Curaçao starting November&nbsp;3.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Only adults</strong></h2>

<p>“This zone on the plane is intended for travellers travelling without children and for business travellers who want to work in a quiet environment,” said the airline in a statement.</p>

<p>The quiet section will be separated from the rest of the aeroplane “by means of walls and curtains, creating a shielded environment that contributes to a calm and relaxed flight.”</p>

<p>Passengers aged 16 or more can travel in this section.</p>

<h2><strong>How much will it cost?</strong></h2>

<p>Passengers in the “only adult” zone will have to cough up some extra charges for the noiseless journeys.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per the airline, a seat reservation in the 'Only Adult' aeroplane section will cost passengers 45 Euros (around 48.5 US dollars). The nine extra-legroom seats will have an additional surcharge and will cost people €100 (around 107.9 US dollars) per journey.</p>

<h2><strong>A win-win situation</strong></h2>

<p>Coredon says that the adult-only zone will not only be a win for travellers looking for a quiet environment but would also benefit parents of little children.</p>

<p>Video of the incident shows students lining up to slap their Muslim classmate as the teacher instigates them. The teacher who has been identified as Tripta Tyagi, teacher, owner of Neha Public School. In the video, Tyagi can also be heard making some problematic, communal comments.</p>

<p>The shameful incident, as per an Indian Express report, took place on Thursday in Khubbapur village of Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar.</p>

<p>As per the report, police and education authorities have taken cognizance of the incident and are exploring action against Tyagi.</p>

<h2><strong>FIR yet to be filed</strong></h2>

<p>The police in a statement said that upon investigation, they "found that the woman was 'declaring' in the video that Mohammedan students get spoiled when their mothers don't pay attention to their studies. The basic education officer has been informed and departmental action will be taken against the teacher."</p>

<p>As per Indian Express, the police have received the video, but a complaint is yet to be filed by the boy's father.</p>

<p>The victim child's father told local reporters that he is not planning to file a case and that he will take his son out of the school.</p>

<p>Khatauli Circle Officer Dr Ravi Shankar said that "Tripta Tyagi is the head of the school," and that they are trying to "convince the child's father to file a complaint; after that we would be able to file an FIR. Further legal action is being taken."</p>

<p>"Today, Mansurpur police station received a video wherein a woman teacher was ordering students of a class to beat a child for not learning multiplication tables. There were some objectionable comments too," said Satyanarayan Prajapat, Superintendent of Police (City), Muzaffarnagar in a statement.</p>

<p>Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a post criticised the teacher's actions and said, "Sowing the poison of discrimination in the minds of innocent children, turning a holy place like a school into a marketplace of hatred — nothing worse a teacher can do for the country."</p>
