Speaking during a campaign swing through Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Trump criticized Democrats for pre-recording some speeches.

"We are doing a real speech on Thursday, next Thursday, so you will be listening live from the White House. We have plenty to say," Trump said. His speech is scheduled for the final day of next week's Republican convention.

Democrats have accused Trump of politicizing the historic residence. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the country's leading elected Democrat, said Trump would once again "degrade the White House" by using it for a political event.

Trump insists that his plans will not violate the 1939 Hatch Act, which bars government employees from using official authority to interfere with the outcome of an election, since it exempts the president.

They also said that the US president never meddled in the Kashmir issue, despite Trump reiterating "mediation" on the conflict.&nbsp;

"President Trump has been a great friend to India, with historic warmth and feeling between the two allies, and that will only continue in the next four years. President Trump is also a friend of religious liberty, very important to the diaspora Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims who came here from India," said Harmeet Kaur Dhillon, an Indian-American lawyer and a senior Republican Party leader from California.

Trump supporters are also saying that the unemployment rate of the Indian-Americans dropped a record level during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate came down to 2.5 per cent in 2019 from 4.1 in 2015.&nbsp;

Trump's comments came after he refused to increase the funding of US Postal Service (USPS) for an expected surge in votes this year and his continual attempts to doubt the mail-in voting.&nbsp;

"They are inheriting a mess of historic proportions," Clinton said, adding that she did not think the coronavirus pandemic would be over by January when Biden and Harris would take office if they defeat Trump and Vice President Michael Pence.

"I think Joe and Kamala together will be absolutely ready for lots of long, long days and very short nights working to get as much done as quickly as possible," Clinton said.

Clinton added that she expected Trump to cast doubt on the result of the election if he loses.

"I have every reason to believe Trump is not going to go quietly into the night if he loses," Clinton said.

Clinton sidestepped a question from a reporter about whether she would serve in a Biden administration if he defeats Trump.

This will be just the third time in US history that a woman is chosen for Vice Presidential Candidate for a major US party, even if both previous cases — Geraldine Ferraro in 1984 and Sarah Palin in 2008 — turned out to be on losing tickets.

The United States has never had a female vice president, and the move comes four years after the country's first female presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, lost her White House bid.

Biden would be 78 on taking office — the oldest US president ever — and he has hinted that he might not seek a second term, making his deputy the prime candidate to take on the party's nomination.

The US presidential election will be held on November 3.&nbsp;

He repeatedly pummeled Biden, who has kept a relatively low profile amid the restraints imposed by the pandemic.

Trump claimed that the Democrat wanted to "defund the police" -- a battle cry of some anti-racist protesters -- and insisted that such language was in a Biden policy document, though he was unable to produce it when challenged by Wallace.

As he repeatedly questioned his rival's mental acuity, Wallace asked him directly if thought Biden was senile.

"I don't want to say that," Trump replied. "I say he's not competent to be president."

He questioned whether the Democrat could pass a cognitive ability test that he said he had "aced," and said the former vice president would fall apart under tough questioning.

Referring to the racial unrest in the country, and a recent spike in violent crime in some cities, the president blamed "Democrat-run cities," which he said were "stupidly run."

Asked about statistics showing American blacks are twice as likely to be shot and killed by police as whites, Trump replied, "Many whites are killed also. You have to say that."

And he equated those who fly the Confederate flag with those saying that "Black Lives Matter," adding, "It's freedom of speech."

Trump again stated his opposition to renaming US military bases named after Confederate generals -- even after the military supported the idea.

"I don't care what the military says," the president said.

"We're going to name it after the Reverend Al Sharpton?" he asked rhetorically, referring to a prominent African-American civil rights leader.

In the book, 'The Room Where it Happened: A White House Memoir', Bolton writes that 'He (Trump) then, stunningly, turned the conversation to the coming US Presidential election, alluding to China’s economic capability to affect the ongoing campaigns, pleading with Xi to ensure he’d win'.

Trump's dealings with China go back to pre-white house years. In 2008 he signed a deal with the Chinese Evergrande Group. In 2012, Trump inked another deal with a Chinese Corporation. This time it was for developing a property in Beijing. In 2016, he reportedly wanted to build Trump hotels in 20 to 30 Chinese Cities. In 2017, Trump roped in 2 Chinese companies to construct a golf resort in Dubai.

These incidents prove that Trump's communication or dealing with China isn't new. In fact, reports claim the Bank of China supplied a large sum of money for Trump's real-estate deals.

Since Trump entered the White House, he has been pretty harsh on China. Experts say Trump has single-handedly changed the geopolitical tactics. From declaring a trade war on China and banning Huawei. To calling covid-19 a Wuhan virus. Trump has spared no opportunity to take on China. He has even claimed that China wants him to lose the 2020 race. He said and I quote: China will do anything they can to have me lose this race.

But Trump's ties with China has not always been all pessimistic. There have been better moments. Mostly, during the initial years of the presidency. In November 2017, he visited China. During the state visit, Trump's granddaughter--Arabella Kushner sang a Chinese song and recited poetry in Mandarin.

You see, Trump is a kind of leader who reacts to anything under the sun. Throw a Chinese conspiracy theory at him— and trump reaction will compel thousands to consider a 'maybe’.

Amid protests against racial injustice, President Donald Trump is defending his decision to schedule his first campaign rally in months on a day commemorating the end of US&nbsp;slavery and in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a city where white mobs massacred African-Americans a century ago.

Trump, seeking re-election on Nov. 3, scheduled the Tulsa rally for June 19, a day celebrated as Juneteenth. Referring to his rally, Trump told Fox News in an interview aired on Friday: "Think about it as a celebration."

The Republican president suspended his political rallies in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. Trump denied that scheduling the Tulsa rally on Juneteenth was deliberate.

The rally will take place against a backdrop of protests around the United States against racism and police brutality sparked by the death of George Floyd, a black man who died in police custody in Minneapolis on May 25 after a white officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes. The officer was fired and has been charged with second-degree murder.

Fox News interviewer Harris Faulkner, who is black, later said she was not sure whether Trump was aware of the painful history of Tulsa for African-Americans because her questions in the interview, held on Thursday, focused on the Juneteenth date of the rally.

"This isn't just a wink to white supremacists - he's throwing them a welcome home party," U.S. Senator Kamala Harris, a contender to be Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's vice presidential pick, wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

Trump, who this week rejected calls to rename U.S. military bases named for Confederate military figures, said in the Fox News interview that what Lincoln had done was "questionable," but was cut off before he could elaborate.

"I think I've done more for the black community than any other president. And let's take a pass on Abraham Lincoln 'cause he did good, although it's always questionable. You know, in other words the end result," Trump said without explanation.

Faulkner then spoke over him saying: "But we are free, Mr. President. He did pretty well."

"We are free. You understand what I mean. I'm going to take a pass on Abe - Honest Abe as we call him," Trump responded.

Democrats and other critics have accused Trump of stoking racial divisions.
