Of course, given that truths are relative, both you and me can, at times, be wrong. But, as they say, Mr&nbsp;Trump, ‘to err is human'. From a business tycoon to the most powerful office in your country has been one kind of journey. You set out to redeem your country from malignant and malign influences: I can see that and you are absolutely right both in terms of the diagnosis and prescription of what ails your country. Your first term in office was tumultuous. You were and are the great disruptor, if I may borrow a term from business parlance. Or, you were an ‘insurgent’ par excellence. The challenges you set for yourself were humongous. One four-year term could never be enough for those.</p>

<p>Now, Mr Trump,&nbsp;&nbsp;allow me to stick my neck out. Come November 2024, you will, for sure, win the elections. The presidential suite and office will, once again, be yours. This would constitute a great opportunity for you and your country for a grand new bargain and reset. You will obviously have learnt from experience and will, I am sure, be well-prepared for new challenges that emerge every day. But, given that I like you, I would like to offer a few suggestions (unsolicited, of course). You can mull over and if these carry any merit consider these.</p>

<p>First, Mr Trump, I would like to say that you have no competition. Really. Your opponents, in the Democratic camp are bereft of both leadership and ideas. They even stole your ideas on the economy and policy. Their intellectual and moral decrepitude matches the leadership deficit of their party. Oh, sorry, Mr Trump, I used the wrong word. I had actually meant bankruptcy of leadership. This then constitutes a good start and even a good omen for you, sir. Forgive me, sir, for using the word ‘omen’: I am like you in this sense. I like tradition, the values that stem from this and blend it with the modern. I am also somewhat conservative.</p>

It is not a mere acronym or slogan. It is what it denotes and should happen: America must be made great. Toward this end, Mr Trump, the first thing you must do is to redefine what being an American means (in other words Americanness). Sir, your country is a mosaic of colour(s). Let it be that way. But sir, craft and create a standard of values around American-ness that does not jar with the united colors of America. This is your first task. Then there is the economy my dear sir. Forgive me for the use of this academic jargon. I don’t like academics, especially those with airy pretensions too. But, some words have to be used. So, back to definitions, sir. You need to (and must) redefine the middle-class (es) in America and make these more expansive. You know it as well as I do: the ‘American Dream’ is not working at all. You don’t, sir, have to be the pied piper like them Dems sir but you can be you and make this dream real for those left at the mercy and vicissitudes of fate and unknown, obscure forces. It is then you will redeem yourself sir. For this, you don’t have to entirely close your country. But a partial closure, my dear Sir, is necessary (Look at your country’s deficits, sir! They are appallingly glaring).</p>

By way of a digression, you are absolutely and totally right about world politics being grand transactions. I know that you see through the airy fairy talk by others of morality and values in interstate relations. You are not, forgive me the use of the word, a fool and none can fool you. But, Sir, even everyday transactions have some principles embedded in them. So, Sir, be transactional but underlay each transaction with some principle(s). This Sir, will give your country and your good self influence.</p>

<p>Former US vice president Mike Pence told special counsel Jack Smith earlier this year that former US president Donald Trump had 'crank' attorneys advising him after 2020 US Presidential Election and he almost pushed the US towards a 'constitutional crisis', ABC News reported citing sources. Pence reportedly told Smith that Trump espoused 'un-American' legal theories.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After the presidential elections, as it gradually emerged that Trump would lose, he repeatedly alleged that elections were rigged and even tried putting pressure on state officials to overturn the results that were going against him. His battery of lawyers filed lawsuits in courts across US including US Supreme Court. Trump's claims were rejected by all these courts.</p>

<p>In addition to Trump's attempts to overturn election results, Special Counsel Jack Smith is also overseeing the investigation into Trump's mishandling of secret government documents post his tenure as president.</p>

Trump gets some relief, court lifts gag order temporarily

<p>Hunter Biden, son of US President Joe Biden, made a request to a Delaware judge to subpoena former US president Donald Trump saying that gun charges against him were the result of a&nbsp;politically motivated investigation. He made a filing in US District Court in Delaware and has sought documents and records from the former president and also from his former attorney general Bill Barr, former acting attorney general Jeffrey Rosen and former acting deputy attorney general Richard Donoghue.</p>

<p>Hunter Biden (53) faces three felony charges originating from his purchase of a .38-caliber revolver in 2018 when he was addicted to drugs. He has admitted to his addiction at the time but has pleaded not guilty to gun charges.</p>

<p>The charges against him accuse him of possessing the revolver illegally and making false statements on a form at the time that he was not using drugs.</p>

<p>While seeking subpoenas, Hunter Biden's lawyer Abbe Lowell said in court filings that Trump had put "incessant, improper, and partisan pressure" on Barr and other top Justice Department officials in order to investigate Hunter.</p>

<p>"Mr. Trump has made a plethora of concerning public statements calling for an investigation or possible prosecution of Mr. Biden, both while in office and since leaving," Lowell said.</p>

<p>Lowell has mentioned tweets by Trump and an excerpt from Barr's recent book. Barr was attorney general when Trump was president.</p>

<p>Former US president Donald Trump clashed with the judge on Monday (November 6) as he testified in court in the New York civil fraud case, as he became the first former US president to testify as a defendant in more than a century. <p>"He called me a fraud and he did not know anything about me," Trump said of the judge, who was sitting right next to him, before calling the trial a "political witch hunt."</p>

<p>The former president was admonished by the judge as he testified in court.</p>

<p>A visibly angry Engoron even told Trump's lawyer at one point to "control your client."</p>

<p>The Republican frontrunner had put both his sons in charge as executive vice presidents of the Trump Organization while he served as the American president between 2017 and 2021.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Tense exchange in the courtroom</strong></h2>

<p>The former president’s two eldest sons Donald Jr and Eric were the first members of the Trump family to testify in the trial, in back-to-back appearances in a New York courtroom, and said they were not involved in the questionable valuations.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During the trial, Eric said he was not aware of the financial statements which lawyers say – and the judge ruled – helped fraudulently inflate the value of their father Donald Trump’s business, and were used to secure loans and insurance that allowed the company to keep functioning.</p>

<p>New York state lawyer Andrew Amer presented emails, video calls and other evidence that showed him discussing financial estimates, including changes to the valuation methodology for a golf course.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The lawyer also pulled up decade-old emails in which a fellow Trump Organization executive asked Eric – who also became frustrated as the evidence was pulled up by the state lawyer – for the information needed to complete one of his dad’s financial statements.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“We’re a major organization, a massive real estate organization – yes, I’m fairly sure I understand that we have financial statements. Absolutely,” Eric said, his voice rising. However, he insisted that he “had no involvement and never worked on my father’s statement of financial condition.”</p>

<p>Eric’s testimony followed his brother Donald Jr’s who took the stand again on Thursday and blamed the accountants, both inside and outside the company. “They had more information and details on all of this than I would have,” said Trump’s eldest son.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per Reuters, the evidence submitted to the court also shows Eric and Donald Jr signed statements certifying that they had provided accurate information to Mazars, an outside accounting firm which prepared the financial statements.</p>

'I wasn't involved,' testifies Donald Trump Jr. during civil fraud case trial involving father

<p>As the political discourse within the United States gradually but surely moves towards US Presidential election 2024, a poll has revealed that US citizen consider both, US President Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump 'too old' for re-election. However, the survey has revealed that people are more focused on Biden's age. He will be 82 on assuming&nbsp;office for a second term, if he gets re-elected. Trump is not far behind, he is 77 years old now and would be closer to his 80s if he gets re-elected.</p>

<p>The survey was conducted by ABC News/ Washington Post in September. 74 per cent of the respondents reportedly said that Biden was too old, while 50 per cent of the respondents felt the same about Trump. There was an uptick of 6 per cent in people who consider Biden too old as compared to a poll conducted in May this year.</p>

<p>While Biden acknowledges the age factor and the discussions, he stresses that he is fit.</p>

<p>As per Reuters, the US presidential hopeful ahead of the elections next year, was welcomed amid cheers in the US state as he filed for the presidential primary.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During the 2016 race after Trump had signed up on the first day of the filing period, he sent Vice President Mike Pence to file his paperwork for the 2020 contest in line with the tradition of other incumbents who asked their surrogates to finish the paperwork.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Donald Trump allegedly shared classified information about US nuclear submarines with an Australian businessman&nbsp;just three months after he left the office, reported US media said Thursday.</p>

<p>During a meeting at his Florida private members' club Mar-a-Lago, the "excited" former US president disclosed the sensitive information to a businessman, identified by the New York Times&nbsp;as billionaire Anthony Pratt.</p>

<p>Pratt, who heads one of the world's largest packaging companies, then supposedly shared the sensitive details with "scores of others, including more than a dozen foreign officials, several of his own employees, and a handful of journalists."</p>

<h2><strong>'Discreet' Trump</strong></h2>

<p>Back in April 2021, Pratt looking to strike up a conversation with Trump reportedly brought up the American submarine fleet. The two, as per an ABC News report, previously had a conversation on the same topic.</p>

<p>Hearing this, "leaning," towards the Australian billionaire, an excited Trump revealed "the supposed exact number of nuclear warheads [US submarines] routinely carry, and exactly how close they supposedly can get to a Russian submarine without being detected."</p>

<p>Pratt would go on to discuss this with at least 45 others,&nbsp;including 11 of his company's employees, 10 Australian officials, six journalists, and three former Australian prime ministers, reports ABC News, citing sources.</p>

<p>Quoting sources, the Times reports that Trump's disclosures "potentially endangered the US nuclear fleet."</p>

<p>As per reports, federal prosecutors, already looking into Trump over the classified material found at Mar-a-Lago after he left office, have interviewed Pratt twice about the incident.</p>

Reuters reported that more donors are taking a close look at her candidacy even as former US president Donald Trump remains a frontrunner.</p>

<p>Four donors and and a source close to a major donor have reportedly said that they were impressed by Nikki Haley's performance in intra-party presidential debate in August and would be ready to donate to her campaign if she continues to emerge as a strong candidate.</p>

<p>Eyes are now on Haley and her performance at the second debate in California due to take place on Wednesday (September 27).</p>

<p>Not too long ago, DeSantis was seen as a formidable challenger to Trump. However, his own missteps and relentless attack from Trump appear to have weakened his position somewhat. However, his campaign retains support of some major donors.</p>

<p>The buzz surrounding Haley's candidacy has also led uncommitted donors to pay attention to the race within the Republican Party. However, it's not a guarantee that those looking at her performance will ultimately back her quest for the Republican nomination.</p>

<p>DeSantis campaign spokesperson Andrew Romeo said that the campaign continues to see "overwhelming enthusiasm from grassroots and major supporters" and that it was looking forward to "continued fundraising success this quarter."</p>

<p>However, no matter who between the two gets more support, both of them will have an uphill battle as Trump is a clear frontrunner in the race.</p>

<p>The former US president is currently facing series of legal troubles. But this has apparently not deterred his supporters. Trump has repeatedly alleged that all the case against him were part of a political "witch hunt".</p>
