<p>The shortage sent prices into the stratosphere. A set of 54 bottles from Ichiro's Malt, a trailblazer in Japanese craft whisky, sold for $1.5 million in 2020 at a Hong Kong auction. Last week, Sotheby's offered what it claimed was the most valuable collection of Japanese whisky at auction, headlined by a 52-year old bottle that sold for 300,000 pounds ($373,830).</p>

<p>Major makers Suntory and Nikka, a unit of beer maker Asahi Group, have spent the past decade ramping up capacity and stock of the spirit, which must age for at least three years to qualify as "Japanese whisky," under 2021 standards.</p>

<p>Suntory, Japan's biggest and best-known whisky maker, recently invested 10 billion yen ($67 million) to upgrade its distilleries, including its Yamazaki site.</p>

<p>Chief blender Shinji Fukuyo said he welcomes the new breed of Japanese distillers, and Suntory is willing to give advice to the startups "as long as it contributes to maintaining and improving the quality of Japanese whisky as a whole".</p>

<p>Foreign money is flowing into the market too. In 2021, global drinks giant Diageo bought an undisclosed stake in Komasa Kanosuke Distillery, established in 2017 by a maker of traditional shochu liquor.</p>

But when I came home and opened it, I found 23 bundles of US dollars but there was a stench of some chemical and I felt sick."</p>

<h2><strong>What did Saleman do with money?</strong></h2>

<p>The report claims that Saleman hid the money at his home. On November 5, he reached out to an activist who informed the police about Saleman's discovery.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We met the police commissioner who too was surprised to see such a large bundles of currency notes. He immediately called the Hebbal police inspector who took up the issue," the national executive member of Swaraj India, R Kaleem Ullah, was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The only food he had was at the city police commissioner’s office," Ullah said.</p>

<p>"He (Saleman) was afraid that the police would suspect him of foul play if he approached them which made him reach out to me only after two days," said Ullah.</p>

<p>According to R Kareeem Ullah, the package Saleman found also featured a note on a United Nations letterhead.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The letter read, "The economic and finance committee puts in place a special fund which was voted by members of the security council to assist UN peacekeeping forces in south Sudan. Due to the skeletal banking operations and the hijacking of such funds by unauthorized persons such as terrorists and dictators in these regions the United Nations authorized the finance committee of the UN to place a visible laser stamp on the notes to act as security in order to have the funds to reach its destination safely."</p>

<p>The note also claimed that the bills were anti-breeze and should not be exposed to air or atmospheric pressure.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The chemical required to remove the last stamp is Fino-Bioxine Universal solution Code (BDZ8Y56)," the letter read.</p>

<p>The police have seized all 23 bundles and sent them to the Reserve Bank of India for further examination.&nbsp;<br />

The farmer was described as a "veteran" in his sixties by the country's public broadcaster ABC News.&nbsp;</p>

Extremely rare eastern Osprey chick hatches in south Australia

<p>When you are out on vacation, fear of getting you house demolished is right at the bottom of the mental list of worst things you dread can possibly happen to you. It is not even the last thing on your mind when all you want to do is sip Pina Colada (poison may vary) on pristine beaches of Bahamas (or some other place sure to make you forget your worldly, mortal worries.)</p>

<p>Susan Hodgson didn't get such a chance to unwind as her property came crashing down just because a demolition crew knocked down a wrong house.</p>

<p>Associated Press reported that Susan, a resident of Atlanta in the US, came back from her vacation to the horror of a property she owned being nothing more than just a pile of rubble. And it turned out the demolition company was supposed to knock down some other house, not Susan's.</p>

<p>“I am furious,” Hodgson said. “I keep waking up thinking, ‘Is this all a joke or something?’ I’m just in shock.”</p>

<p>The report said that Susan was contacted by a neighbour when she was away to ask if she had hired anyone to tear down the vacant house.</p>

<p>“I said ‘no’ and she said, ‘Well, there’s someone over here who just demolished the whole house and tore it all down’,” Hodgson recalled.</p>

<p>When the neighbour confronted the demolition crew, they behaved rudely with her.</p>

<p>“He told her to shut up and mind her own business,” Hodgson said, as reported by AP.</p>

<p>She then sent a family member to check what on earth was happening. The family member asked the person in charge to produce permit for demolition. And that's when the in-charge realised that the demolition crew was at a wrong address. Yikes!</p>

<p>“It’s been boarded up about 15 years, and we keep it boarded, covered, grass cut, and the yard is clean,” she said. “The taxes are paid and everything is up on it.”</p>

<p>Hodgson has since filed a report with the police and is even exploring legal options.</p>

<p>“We’re still in this process of figuring out what to do,” she said. “We keep pressing in different directions to see if something is going to happen.”</p>

<p>AP reported that the company responsible for this spectacular mix-up is called 'You Call It We Haul It'. The company is reportedly still hasn't contacted Susan.</p>

<p>“It’s just hard to believe someone thinks they have the right to just come and tear something up and walk away from it and didn’t come back and say ‘I’m sorry. What do I need to do to fix this? It was an accident.’ They didn’t give me nothing.”</p>

Susan Hodgson didn't get such a chance to unwind as her property came crashing down just because a demolition crew knocked down a wrong house. Associated Press reported that Susan, a resident of Atlanta in the US, came back from her vacation to the horror of a property she owned being nothing more than just a pile of rubble. And it turned out the demolition company was supposed to knock down some other house, not Susan's. “I am furious,” Hodgson said. “I keep waking up thinking, ‘Is this all a joke or something?’ I’m just in shock.” The report said that Susan was contacted by a neighbour when she was away to ask if she had hired anyone to tear down the vacant house. “I said ‘no’ and she said, ‘Well, there’s someone over here who just demolished the whole house and tore it all down’,” Hodgson recalled. When the neighbour confronted the demolition crew, they behaved rudely with her. “He told her to shut up and mind her own business,” Hodgson said, as reported by AP. She then sent a family member to check what on earth was happening. The family member asked the person in charge to produce permit for demolition. And that's when the in-charge realised that the demolition crew was at a wrong address. Yikes! “It’s been boarded up about 15 years, and we keep it boarded, covered, grass cut, and the yard is clean,” she said. “The taxes are paid and everything is up on it.” Hodgson has since filed a report with the police and is even exploring legal options. “We’re still in this process of figuring out what to do,” she said. “We keep pressing in different directions to see if something is going to happen.” AP reported that the company responsible for this spectacular mix-up is called 'You Call It We Haul It'. The company is reportedly still hasn't contacted Susan. “It’s just hard to believe someone thinks they have the right to just come and tear something up and walk away from it and didn’t come back and say ‘I’m sorry. <p>"This is the culmination of a lot of work by a lot of people. People said it couldn't be done, they called us liars, and we proved to them that Pepper X is actually the hottest pepper in the world, officially from Guinness."</p>

<p><strong>How was Pepper X created?</strong></p>

<p>Currie started growing hot peppers as a hobby and eventually moved to cultivate them full-time. The expert raised some 800 hot pepper plants, according to his website Puckerbutt Pepper Company, "in every inch of his home and the homes of family, friends and neighbours."</p>

<p>In a press release, it was stated that pods and seeds of Pepper X won't be sold as it is a proprietary pepper. The only way to get a taste of it will be through Pepper X hot sauces.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Currie is now working on his next potential hottest-pepper.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The archaeologists were called to the scene two weeks ago when workers from the gas company Calidda were&nbsp;excavating in the Carabayllo district, located north of the city of Lima.&nbsp;Six of the bundles were found around 100 metres away from the previous discovery of 28 graves. The researchers also recovered some pottery and other ceramic artefacts at the scene as well.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Cause of death</strong></h2>

<p>The findings suggest that the place may have been a cemetery for children who died from&nbsp; severe anaemia resulting from a climate event that would have hit local agriculture, back in the day.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Nutritional stress might have caused the children's mortality rate, explaining why we found more burials of infants in these cemeteries," said Jesus Bahamonde Schreiber, an archaeologist hired by Calidda.</p>

<p>"During that time there must have been some kind of social activity that generated some kind of problem, perhaps alimentary, which caused the child mortality rate to rise and that's why we find more child burials in these cemeteries."</p>

<p>Using the James Webb Space Telescope, an upgrade on the Hubble, scientists are now assured that there is a huge ocean of saltwater, kilometres below Europa's ice-covered surface, making the moon a prime candidate for hosting extra-terrestrial life in our solar system.</p>

<p>Two separate teams of scientists arrived at the same conclusion using the telescope's Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam). The results of the study published in <em>Science</em> revealed the exact spot where the most concentrated amount of life-building CO2 was found.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The most CO2 was in a 1,800 kilometre-wide (1,120 miles) area called Tara Regio, where there is a lot of "chaos terrain" with jagged ridges and cracks," read the study.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Although it is not understood what the chaos terrain means, one theory floating around suggests that warm water from the ocean rises up to melt the surface ice which then re-freezes over time to form uneven cracks.</p>

<p>Samantha Trumbo, one of the lead authors of the study told the news agency AFP that the two teams&nbsp;concluded that the carbon was "ultimately derived from the interior, likely the internal ocean".</p>

<p>She added that table salt has been detected in Tata Regio, which gives the area a significantly more yellow hue when compared to Europa's scarred white plains.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"So now we've got salt, we've got CO2: we're starting to learn a little bit more what that internal chemistry might look like," Trumbo said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The results&nbsp;of the studies were appreciated by the European Space Agency which launched the Juice mission&nbsp;earlier this year to&nbsp;find out whether these icy moons have the right conditions to support life.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Juice project scientist Olivier Witasse welcomed the two new studies, saying they were "very exciting".</p>

<p>AI researchers at Microsoft have committed a grave error, as revealed in a recent report by cloud security company Wiz. The Microsoft AI research team inadvertently disclosed a massive&nbsp;38 terabytes of the company's confidential data.</p>

<p>According to the report, the Microsoft AI team uploaded a repository of training data containing open-source code and AI models designed for image recognition. Users stumbling upon this Github repository acquired&nbsp;a link from Azure, Microsoft's cloud storage service, enabling them to download these models.</p>

<p>However, a critical flaw cropped up:&nbsp;the link provided by Microsoft's AI team granted visitors unrestricted access to the entire Azure storage account. This meant that visitors not only had the ability to browse through all the content&nbsp;within the account but also had the power to upload, overwrite, or delete files at their discretion.</p>

<p>Wiz said this vulnerability stemmed from an Azure feature known as Shared Access Signature (SAS) tokens, which essentially offers a signed URL for accessing Azure Storage data. The SAS token could have been configured with specific limitations governing which files could be accessed. The link in question had been configured with full access rights.</p>

<p>Compounding the issue, Wiz noted that this data had seemingly been exposed since 2020. This extended period of exposure significantly amplified the potential risks associated with the breach.</p>
