Hundreds of private jets flew into Las Vegas for the Super Bowl on Sunday and environmentalists are now calculating the climate cost. The four airports in Las Vegas area have about 500 parking spots for private jets, and they were all fully booked ahead of the game.

Usher's moves, Taylor Swift and kisses! Highlights from Super Bowl 2024 performance

Donald Trump minced no words while taking a dig at pop star Taylor Swift who he called “disloyal” to the man who made her so much money. With elections on their way in the US, Taylor has kept her name clear from the elections and made no suggestions of whom she is supporting. But the last time around, Taylor had vowed to keep Trump out of the White House and announced she voted Democrat.

With Trump back in the race for the top post, he did not waste time in reminding Taylor that it was he who helped her get so famous and make so much money. He said it was all because of his lawmaking. Meanwhile, as Taylor dating Travis Kelce has become a major talking point in the news circles, Trump didn’t say anything mean about him and only added that Travis is a “liberal”.&nbsp;

The Republican, in a Truth Social post, wrote, “There’s no way she could endorse crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money. Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will.”

He added, “Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!”

Donald Trump was referring to the Music Modernization Act which was&nbsp;signed into law on October 11, 2018. It modernised copyright-related issues within the music industry.

<h2>How Taylor Swift profited from laws made by Donald Trump</h2>

Taylor Swift made oodles of money after she was able to release her songs independently without any record label on board and profited from the sales of the new versions of the old songs.&nbsp;

Taylor had a fallout with Scooter Braun who managed all her music. He bought Big Machine Records in 2019 and took ownership of Swift's masters. When she was unable to use her own songs, she made the effort to re-record her first six studio albums to undermine the value of her early music now in Braun's possession.

Taylor Swift was able to regain ownership over her lyrics, voice, and albums with the re-records - using the old titles of her songs with the suffix stamp of approval 'Taylor's Version.' She then used those in her Eras Tour which started last year. She raked in billions with that tour.&nbsp;

Taylor Swift's fever has finally reached Asia and how the pop Titan performed her first concert of the Eras Tour in the Japanese Capital where fans were eagerly Waiting For The Love Story singer taking over the stage.

Taylor Swift sells 'Eras tour' concert film rights for more than $75 million

Ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, rapper Drake has placed a massive Bitcoin bet of $1.15 million on the Kansas City Chiefs to secure victory over the San Francisco 49ers. The Canadian artist shared a photo of his betting slip on social media with the caption, "I can't bet against the Swifties," referring to fans of pop sensation Taylor Swift.

While Drake appears content and self-assured regarding the potential victory of the Kansas City Chiefs, Taylor Swift's fan base seems perplexed. This confusion stems from the infamous "Drake Curse" phenomenon—a widely circulated internet theory suggesting that any athlete or team supported by the Canadian rapper is destined to face defeat in their respective sporting events.

Drake's track record in betting hasn't always been smooth sailing. For instance, he faced losses of $1 million in the World Cup final between Argentina and France in 2023. He also lost a bet of $500,000 on Israel Adesanya to beat Sean Strickland by KO in UFC 293. He also lost $275,000 when Colby Covington defeated Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272.

However, last year, Drake seemingly broke the curse when he won around $300,000 in Bitcoin after betting on the Los Angeles Rams to beat the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVII. He also won $25 million playing virtual roulette with French Montana in July 2023.&nbsp;

These wins provide&nbsp;a glimmer of hope for Drake and his followers, suggesting that the curse may not be true in every circumstance.

Drake bets $1.15 million on Chiefs to win Super Bowl LVIII: ‘Can’t bet against the Swifties’

Amid the fervour surrounding the Super Bowl showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, a different spotlight has emerged - one that shines on Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, and her allegiance to the Chiefs. However, amidst complaints labelling Swift as a "distraction" to the team, Grammy-winning artist Adele has emerged as a vocal advocate for her fellow musician.

The British songstress boldly voiced sentiments that echoed the desires of many Swifties. Adele demonstrated unwavering support for Taylor Swift, challenging the narrative that has surrounded her presence at NFL games.

A recent video shared by Pop Base on their X account shows Adele taking a firm stand for her friend and extending&nbsp;her support for the Chiefs.

Pop Base captioned their post, “Adele says she will be supporting the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl for Taylor Swift and defends her from football fans. 'All of you complaining about Taylor being at the games, get a f*cking life. She’s actually made it a bit more enjoyable to watch'.” Check it out below!

Will she make it in time? Intrepid flight trackers online seem to think so.

On social media, fans of Taylor Swift and aviation journalists believe they’ve identified Swift’s private jet, labelled “The Football Era.” It arrived from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport to Los Angeles’ LAX airport just after 3:30 p.m. local time.

Her transportation plans onward to Las Vegas, where her boyfriend, NFL star tight end Travis Kelce, will play in Sunday’s Super Bowl, have yet to be revealed.

Representatives for Swift and VistaJet, the world’s only global private aviation company, did not immediately respond to AP’s request for comment.

Swift’s last song was still ringing in the ears of thousands of fans at the Tokyo Dome on Saturday night when the singer rushed to a private jet at Haneda airport, presumably embarking on an intensely scrutinized journey to see Kelce.

“We’re all gonna go on a great adventure,” Swift told the crowd earlier. She was speaking of the music, but it might also describe her race against time, which was to cross nine time zones and the international date line.

With a final bow at the end of her sold-out show, clad in a blue sequined outfit, the crowd screaming, strobe lights pulsing, confetti falling, Swift disappeared beneath the stage and her journey to the other side of the world began.

Her expected trip to see Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs play the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas has fired imaginations, and speculation, for weeks.

“I hope she can return in time. It’s so romantic,” said office worker Hitomi Takahashi, 29, who bought matching Taylor Swift sweatshirts with her friend and was taking photos just outside the Tokyo Dome.

About an hour after the end of the concert, AP journalists were near Haneda’s private jet area when minivans drove up and someone went inside the gate area, as four to five people carrying large black umbrellas obstructed the view of the person.

There was plenty of evidence at the concert of the unique cultural phenomenon which is the Swift-Kelce relationship, a nexus of professional football and the huge star power of Swift. In addition to people wearing sequined dresses celebrating Swift, there were Kelce jerseys and hats and other Chiefs gear.

Some spent thousands of dollars to attend the pop superstar’s concerts this week.

“Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone,” Swift sang.

She won’t find that Sunday in Las Vegas when a sold-out crowd, not to mention millions around the world, will be watching her.

To call the worldwide scrutiny of Swift’s travels intense is an understatement.

Fans have tracked her jet. The planet-warming carbon emissions of her globe-trotting travels have been criticized. Officials have weighed in on her ability to park her jet at Las Vegas airports.

Even Japanese diplomats have gotten into the act. The Japanese Embassy in Washington posted on social media that she could make the Super Bowl in time, including in their statement three Swift song titles — “Speak Now”, “Fearless” and “Red.”

“If she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins,” it said.

Takahashi, a fan at the Tokyo Dome, was aware of the criticism Swift has faced about her private jets but said the singer was being singled out unfairly.

“Many other people are flying on business, and she is here for her work. She faces a bashing because she is famous and stands out,” Takahashi said.

Swift has been crisscrossing the globe this week.

Before coming to Asia, she attended the Grammys in Los Angeles, winning her 14th Grammy and a record-breaking fourth Album of the Year award for “Midnights.” The show was watched by nearly 17 million people. She also made a surprise announcement that her next album is ready to drop in April.

Then the four concerts in Tokyo, and now the trip back to the States. She has followed Kelce for much of the Chiefs’ season.

Swift is expected to fly to Australia later this week to continue her tour.

“This week is truly the best kind of chaos,” she posted Wednesday on Instagram.

Taylor Swift’s attorneys have threatened legal action against a Florida college student Jack Sweeney who runs social media accounts tracking the flights of her and other celebrities’ private jets.

Taylor Swift's lawyers threaten Jack Sweeney's private jet flight tracker

A US student based out of Florida is facing legal action for tracking Taylor Swift’s private jet travels. The student named Jack Sweeney runs social media accounts that monitor the private jet travels of celebrities and public figures, including Taylor Swift.&nbsp;

<h2>Jack Sweeney sent legal notice by Taylor Swift's team</h2>

Jack told CNN that he had received a cease-and-desist letter from Taylor Swift’s lawyers, asking him to put a stop to publishing information about Taylor's flights on his accounts. Her lawyers are calling it a safety issue and want him to stop owing to its life-threatening nature.&nbsp;

Jack recalled that he first received a letter in December in which he was accused of “stalking and harassing behaviour, including consistently publishing real-time and precise information" about Swift's location and future whereabouts.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2><a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/hollywood/news-the-mandalorian-actress-gina-carano-sues-disney-for-firing-her-with-elon-musk-in-support-687690">The Mandalorian actress Gina Carano sues Disney for firing her with Elon Musk in support</a></h2>

The letter said that this posed an “imminent threat to the safety and wellbeing” of Swift, who has been dealing with stalkers and people who want to harm her since she was a teenager. The letter said that there were “many public cases” of people who came to Swift’s homes, some with weapons and ammunition, and “attempted to harm her".&nbsp;The letter argued that sharing her location information gave these bad actors "a roadmap to carry out their plans".

<h2>The social media tracker had a beef with Elon Musk too</h2>

The letter then mentioned that Elon Musk offered to pay him $5,000 to delete the Twitter account that tracked his jet. He rejected this offer and asked for $50,000, saying he could use the money for college or maybe to buy a Tesla.&nbsp;

The letter made it clear that Taylor’s team considers this a “life-or-death matter” and that if he doesn’t stop&nbsp;“she will have no choice but to pursue any and all legal remedies available to her.”

His celebrity-tracking social media accounts got noticed after some non-profit organisations and media outlets criticised the singer’s carbon footprint.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, Jack Sweeney claims he’s using only “public information".&nbsp;He said, “I believe in transparency and public information” and added that the singer’s fans are very interested in his accounts and that she should have “a decent expectation” that her jet would be tracked "whether or not I do it".

Taylor Swift sends legal notice to US student tracking her private jet travels to trace carbon footprint

Taylor Swift will celebrate making Grammy history with a run of concerts in Tokyo starting Wednesday, kicking off a month of sell-out shows in Asia that will include a quick run home to see her boyfriend Travis Kelce contest the US Super Bowl.

Excited fans queued in the cold from morning to buy merchandise at Tokyo Dome before the four shows, part of the megastar's global Eras Tour -- the first billion-dollar-tour ever.

"It's us, hi! We are Swifties from Taiwan!," read a huge fabric banner featuring 10 pictures of Swift's face, held up by a group of fans outside the 55,000-capacity arena.

Results of a hotly contested ticket lottery for Swift's Japan dates were announced in July, with some fans travelling to Tokyo, even if the tour was coming to them.

"We came just for the concert as we couldn't get tickets in Australia," laughed 18-year-old Ebony Donohue.

"I'm so excited to finally see her. All her music is so different. She's so relatable, and strong and amazing."

Other fans from places Swift won't stop this time, including Thailand, the Philippines and China, joined the vast crowd which gathered in the afternoon before the gig.

Some donned tassels, bright sequins and high-heeled boots in homage to their favourite Swift looks, while others came dressed as unicorn angels or wore official tour T-shirts.

She's so relatable, and strong and amazing." Also read:Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce romance leading to conspiracy theories on Biden re-election bid ahead of Superbowl Other fans from places Swift won't stop this time, including Thailand, the Philippines and China, joined the vast crowd which gathered in the afternoon before the gig. Some donned tassels, bright sequins and high-heeled boots in homage to their favourite Swift looks, while others came dressed as unicorn angels or wore official tour T-shirts. Taylor-mania hits Tokyo as Swift resumes tour before Super Bowl

For years, fans have looked out for Easter eggs and hints in Taylor Swift's songs on heartbreaks. Swift's love life- however much she tried to keep it discreet- has been fodder for gossip as well as her lyrics, as the men Swift has dated in the past are mostly actors and singers, and celebrities in their own right. But her recent romance with Kansas City Chiefs NFL player Travis Kelce has captured the imagination of not only the couple's fans but also conspiracy theorists in America, mainly from the right wing. Now, that's a first even for Taylor Swift.&nbsp;

All eyes are on the Super Bowl 2024 where Kansas City Chiefs take on San Fransico 49ers on February 11. The Super Bowl is considered one of the biggest sporting events in America but this year is extra special as the NFL hopes to gain more viewers because the game will have Swift in the stands cheering for her beau Kelce.&nbsp;

<h2>Conspiracy around Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce romance</h2>

Celebrity love stories, especially when they involve Taylor Swift, are always under the public lens. But her romance with Kelce has reached, hilariously enough, the corridors of the Pentagon.

That's because the conspiracy theorists see a psychological operation or psy-op to get US President Joe Biden re-elected.&nbsp;

Now, ordinary mortals like you and me would scratch their heads thinking how the romance of a singer and football player could have anything to do with Biden getting back in office. But that's the beauty of America. It is the land of bizarre conspiracy theories that may not make sense to laymen like us, but those who hatch it are always very convinced about it.&nbsp;

Right-wing inhabitants of what now seems to be a 'Trump land' seem to feel that the Super Bowl is rigged and the result will be in favour of the Kansas City Chiefs, one way or the other. Some outlandish theorists have also claimed that post-win, Kelce, and Swift will announce their engagement and subsequently endorse Biden for president.&nbsp;

Swift is a well-known Biden supporter and had backed him in 2020. Kelce, on his part, had supported the Pfizer vaccine, which the Biden-led US government had rolled into the US market. (Vaccines were a contentious issue during the Covid pandemic, often rejected by the conspiracy theorists). So it makes both pro-Democrats.&nbsp;

<h2>Pentagon and NFL react</h2>

Republican Vivek Ramaswamy called Swift and Kelce an “artificially culturally propped up couple.” &nbsp;Another even called Swift a Pentagon asset for Biden's re-election- a claim that the Pentagon had to shut down.

"To set the record straight - Taylor Swift is not part of a DOD psychological operation. Period," said spokesperson Sabrina Singh, while cheekily using a Swift song title, "Shake It Off."&nbsp;

Who would have possibly imagined that the Pentagon would have to comment on a cultural phenomenon like Swift and her latest romance? But it did.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, NFL chief Roger Goodell dismissed conspiracy theories surrounding Taylor Swift as “nonsense”. &nbsp;

“Anybody in society in a public position is subject to criticism,” Goodell said of the conspiracy theories.

“But I think the idea that this is within a script, this is pre-planned, is just nonsense,” Goodell said. “It’s frankly not even worth talking about.”

<h2>Why is Swift's new romance so hard to digest?</h2>

Let's face it. Much of America is conservative in its way of thinking.&nbsp;

For years, the country has managed to sell its liberal-modern attitude and ever-accepting nature to the world but when you dig deeper, you realise that many in the country are still very orthodox, sexist, and racist.&nbsp;

The US cannot yet have a woman leading the country, its political leaders need to showcase their happy families and perfect marriages to win elections, and its abortion laws are questionable, to say the least.

It is only natural then, that many people raise doubts when a 34-year-old successful woman, loved by the world, has a successful romance very much in the public eye.&nbsp;

So the easiest way for them is to dismiss Swift's romantic sojourn at the NFL games and her very PDA-filled romance with Kelce as a political conspiracy.

Here are some samples:

Fox News recently ran a show that discussed: "Is Taylor Swift a Pentagon asset?"

And the anchor, Jesse Waters, said: “Around four years ago, the Pentagon’s psychological operations unit floated turning Taylor Swift into an asset. It’s real. The Pentagon psy-op unit pitched NATO on turning Taylor Swift into an asset for combating misinformation online.”

A pro-Trump broadcaster, Mike Crispi, recently said: "EVERYONE knows Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is fake and the Super Bowl is rigged. You’re a whacko at this point if you DON’T believe it."

These conspiracy theories have gained currency in right-wing media and spread like wildfire in parts of the population that can now access Twitter without the filters, now that its chief Elon Musk has removed them after taking over the social media platform and renaming it X.&nbsp;

It is easy to label a celebrity of Swift's stature to always have a motive behind every move. She can't possibly be genuinely in love with someone, can she? Where is the time?

Cynics have always been after her and Swifties have always defended her. Whether or not the romance is real is something that time will tell, but till then, let the lovebirds be. And look out for their romance at the Super Bowl. Everything need not be about politics.

Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce romance leading to conspiracy theories on Biden re-election bid ahead of Superbowl

Meet the other Taylor Swift – not the global music superstar but the combatant in a psychological warfare operation to keep former US president Donald Trump from winning the 2024 elections.

Meet the other Taylor Swift – not the global music superstar but the combatant in a psychological warfare operation to keep former US president Donald Trump from winning the 2024 elections. For those unfamiliar with the increasingly bizarre alternative universe inhabited by millions of Americans whose views are shaped by the former president, social media tweets and influencers, here is a brief guide to the role supposedly played by psy-op Taylor Swift in an operation designed to culminate at next Sunday’s (Feb 11) Super Bowl in Las Vegas. The biggest event in US sports, last year’s Super Bowl had a television audience of just over 115 million. This year it may well be more because Taylor Swift is scheduled to attend to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce play for the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers. According to tweets and a video seen by hundreds of thousands, psy-ops warriors have planned to rig the game so that the Chiefs will win after a dramatic finish. To celebrate, Swift and Kelce will announce their engagement, soon followed by the celebrity couple’s endorsement of Joe Biden for another four years in the White House. Inhabitants of what has become known as Trumpworld have pointed to a variety of participants in the scheme, including the CIA and the Pentagon. Speculation on the latter was so persistent that the Pentagon felt it necessary to issue a denial through its deputy press secretary, Sabrina Singh. “To set the record straight,” she told the newspaper Politico, “Taylor Swift is not part of a DOD (Department of Defense) psychological operation. Period.” Also read | Grammy Awards 2024: Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus win Best Album & Best Record; check full list of winners Conspiracy theorists distrust government and tend to interpret official government denials as a form of confirmation, so the exasperated “period” exclamation is unlikely to kill speculation of a well-planned plot. Not long after TIME magazine made Taylor Swift 2023 Person of The Year, prominent FOX News host Jesse Walters told his viewers that “it’s real. The Pentagon psy-op unit pitched NATO on turning Taylor Swift into an asset.” Also on record to fuel speculation was Vivek Ramaswamy, a presidential candidate until he dropped out of the race for the Republican party’s primary elections in mid-January. “I wonder whether there’s a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped up couple this fall,” he said, alluding to an endorsement for Biden. Ramaswamy did not explain what he meant by “artificially propped”. Record-breaking tours, music royalties and a movie on her concerts turned Swift into a billionaire last year, Bloomberg reported. On Sunday’s Grammy Awards, she was awarded for Album of the Year, becoming the only artist to ever win that category four times. Her successes and devoted fans – she has 300 million followers on social media -- reminiscent of the Beatlemania of the late 1960 and 1970s, has done little to impress those on the far right who have pegged her as a supporter of Joe Biden and thus an enemy of Trump. The paranoia in Trumpland about a romance between a superstar singer and a football player makes some wonder about the sanity of Republicans who, as the Wall Street Journal put it in an editorial “demonise two of America’s healthier entertainments". It had a question for those fanning the conspiracy: “If they believe defeating Mr Trump is so easy that Mr Biden can do it merely by getting an endorsement from a singer who backed him in 2020, doesn’t that suggest the GOP might be making a mistake by nominating such a weak candidate?” The National Football League (NFL) has been quiet about the affair which is keeping trolls busy. But it is a reasonable bet that the NFL would not be unhappy if the number of Super Bowl viewers would be boosted by thousands of “swifties,” as the singer’s fans are called. Why the United States is such fertile ground for conspiracy theories has puzzled historians, social scientists and pundits for decades – more so since the Internet allowed for weird ideas to spread worldwide and instantly. Watch | Gravitas | Super bowl: What makes it an advertiser's dream platform? × In 1964, a ground-breaking essay, later turned into a book, by the late Columbia University historian Richard Hofstadter provided an explanation that still stands. “It is the use of paranoid modes of expression by more or less normal people that makes the phenomenon significant," he wrote in The Paranoid Style in American Politics. The “more or less normal people” he cited in a tour of conspiracy theories going back to the 18th century included Samuel Morse, the celebrated inventor of the telegraph. Morse wrote that the government of Austria had sent Jesuit missionaries to America and supplied them with ample funds with the aim of installing a scion of the House of Hapsburg as emperor of the United States. Among the most durable conspiracy tales alive in the alternative universe: The landing of American astronauts on the moon. The theory claimed it was filmed in California studios to convince the world of the USA's superiority in space. No American set foot on the moon. More recently: The January 6, 2020 assault on the Capitol in Washington to prevent the peaceful transfer of power from the loser, Donald Trump, to the winner, Joe Biden, was fostered by the FBI. According to a Washington Post/University of Maryland poll, a quarter of Americans think the FBI instigated the attack. That belief has been repeatedly denied – but in America’s alternative universe that just amounts to confirmation. Just like Taylor Swift’s secret role in undermining Trump. Taylor Swift teases tracklist for upcoming album The Tortured Poets Department

One night after Taylor Swift earned her fourth career Grammy for album of the year, her boyfriend was feeling pressure to secure his own triumph in the Super Bowl.

“She’s unbelievable, she’s rewriting the history books herself,” Travis Kelce said Monday night at Allegiant Stadium, where the Kansas City Chiefs will meet the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. “I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and bring home some hardware, too.”

The romance between Swift and Kelce, which NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said he “couldn’t have scripted,” has been the talk of the league this season, with her appearances at Chiefs games generating intense interest from her legion of Swifties.

“She’s definitely brought a lot of new faces to the game and it’s been fun to experience that,” the Chiefs tight end said. “She seems to be enjoying the games and she’s a part of Chiefs Kingdom right now. It’s fun seeing her enjoy the game of football knowing that it’s kind of new to her life.”

Kelce wasn’t the only one fielding questions about Swift. Chiefs coach Andy Reid said the pop star “has been great. She’s a good girl and humble.”

And while she has focused much of her attention on her boyfriend and the offense, Kansas City linebacker Nick Bolton said the defense has begun feeling the love from Swift and her fans.

“I think she’s been great for Chiefs Kingdom and also just the sport of football,” Bolton said.

Front Office Sports reported Swift has generated a “brand value” of $331.5 million for the Chiefs and the NFL, citing data from Apex Marketing Group.

According to the report, the figure that was calculated on Jan. 22 accounts for print, digital, radio, TV, highlights and social media mentioning Swift dating to the first game she attended on Sept. 24, then calculating the equivalent dollar value for each instance based on reach and impact.

“Taylor has an unbelievable fan base that follows her and supports her throughout her life,” Kelce said. “It’s been fun to kind of gather the Swifties into Chiefs Kingdom and open them up to the football world and the sports world. It’s been cool to just experience all that.”

Kelce also said he’s gotten to listen to parts of Swift’s upcoming album — “Tortured Poets Department,” due out April 19 — but wouldn’t reveal any details.

“I have heard some of it, yes, and it is unbelievable,” Kelce said. “I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops.”

This time, the 34-year-old songstress won Album of the Year for Midnights. With this win, Swift has become the first artist with the most wins in the category.&nbsp;

In her acceptance speech, Taylor said she was 'mind-blown' after she broke&nbsp;the record for most Album of the Year Grammy wins. She also announced her new album.

She also gave a shout-out to the iconic singer Lana Del Rey.

“I think so many beginners would not be where they are and would not have the inspiration they have if it weren’t for the work that she’s done. I think she’s a legacy artists a legend in in her crime right now. I’m so lucky to know you and to be your friend. I would love to tell you that this is the best moment in my life. But I feel this happy when I finish a song or when I cracked the code to a bridge that I love, or when I’m shortlisting a music video, or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers, or my band, or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show, for me that the award is the work.''

Concluding her speech, she said, ''All I want to do is keep being able to do this. I love it so much. It makes me so happy. It makes me unbelievably blown away that it makes some people happy who voted for this award too. All I want to do is keep doing this. So thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to do what I love so much. Mind-blown thank you so much. Ladies and gentlemen.''&nbsp;

Swift won her first Album of the Year award for Fearless,&nbsp;in 2010. Back then, she become the youngest person ever to win the Grammy in this category. Apart from this, the singer has won the Album of The Year award for 1989&nbsp;in 2016 and Folklore&nbsp;in 2021.

Gravitas | Super bowl: What makes it an advertiser's dream platform?

At the star-studded 66th Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb 4), Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo shut down lingering rumours of a supposed rift, displaying&nbsp;mutual support and camaraderie. Both global pop sensations graced the annual music extravaganza, where they each stood as contenders for prestigious golden gramophones across multiple categories. Despite the absence of joint red carpet appearances or shared moments inside Crypto.com Arena, Swift and Rodrigo managed to silence speculations with a heartening exchange of gestures.

Swift, seated in the audience, left no room for doubt about her solidarity with Rodrigo. As the "Good 4 U" singer took the stage to perform her hit "Vampire," Swift enthusiastically stood, danced, and sang along, signalling a genuine celebration of Rodrigo's musical prowess.

In a mutual demonstration of support, Rodrigo was caught on camera standing and applauding as Taylor clinched the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.&nbsp;

The alleged dispute between the two musicians initially surfaced because of some music credits. Later when&nbsp;Rodrigo released her first single "Vampire" from her sophomore album Guts, many believed that it could be about the whole Taylor Swift situation.

The lyrics in question read, "Hate to give the satisfaction, asking how you’re doing now, How’s the castle built off people you pretend to care about?" and "But you made me look so naïve, the way you sold me for parts as you sunk your teeth into me, oh bloodsucker, famefucker, bleedin’ me dry, like a goddamn vampire."

Rodrigo, however, has consistently denied any rift between the two during interviews.

During her September 2023 cover story with Rolling Stone,&nbsp;Rodrigo said, "I don't beef with anyone. I'm very chill. I keep to myself. I have my four friends and my mom, and that's really the only people I talk to, ever. There's nothing to say. There are so many Twitter conspiracy theories. I only look at alien conspiracy theories."

Taylivia is back! Taylor Swift ends feud rumours with Olivia Rodrigo at 2024 Grammys

Iconic singer Celine Dion sent social media into a tizzy as she made a surprise appearance at the Grammys 2024. Dion, who has been out of the circuit and battling a neurological disorder called stiff person syndrome, came on stage to give away the Album Of The Year award and was greeted by the audience with a standing ovation.&nbsp;

The show organisers&nbsp;had been teasing that an “absolute global icon” would be presenting the final award for Album of the Year and they didn’t disappoint.

If Dion's appearance was iconic enough, the award she presented to Taylor Swift for Midnights can be termed historic. Swift became the only artist in Grammy history to have won the award four times.<a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/hollywood/news-taylor-swift-makes-history-wins-album-of-the-year-at-grammy-2024-687052">Grammy 2024: Taylor Swift makes history! While the moment between the two iconic singers should have been special, it turned into a social media debate as many felt Swift snubbed Dion during her winning moment.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Will Taylor Swift be able to attend the Super Bowl after her Tokyo gig? Japan Embassy answers

For weeks, scrutiny over singer Taylor Swift’s travel in private jets has been bubbling up on social media, with people pointing out the planet-warming emissions of carbon dioxide released with every flight.

The megastar is dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, one of the NFL’s most celebrated players. The growing romance between the couple has been closely watched, with Swift showing up at several games — which has meant much travel on private jets. The chatter got even louder the last few days after the Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, sending them to the Super Bowl, which is in Las Vegas on Feb. 11.

Swift, the hitmaker whose dominance of pop culture now includes the first tour to gross more than $1 billion, is the latest in a long list of celebrities, government officials and elite businesspeople to come under scrutiny about private jet travel. A look at Swift’s recent travel, carbon dioxide emissions from private jets versus commercial planes and one of the most common, albeit controversial, solutions floated to address such pollution.

SWIFT’S CARBON FOOTPRINT

If Swift attends the Super Bowl, she will be travelling from Tokyo, where she is on tour. That will mean more than 19,400 miles (30,500 kilometres) by private jet in just under two weeks. Just how much carbon dioxide will that be?

While exact carbon emissions depend on many factors, such as flight paths and number of passengers, a rough estimate is possible, said Gregory Keoleian, co-director of the Center for Sustainable Systems at the University of Michigan. Travelling 19,400 miles on a Dassault Falcon 900LX, one of Swift’s jets, could release more than 200,000 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions, he said.

That would be about 14 times as much as the average American household emits in a year, according to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

How realistic commercial travel would be for Swift is open for debate. After all, she’s so famous that even if she wanted to, flying on commercial flights might be chaotic for an airline crew and any public airport she frequents. Keoleian said there are other important ways that public figures flying private can address climate change, such as through their influence on public attitudes and perceptions, investments and who they vote for.

The controversy over Swift’s use of private jets illustrates the “great disparity” between the wealthy and lower-income people when it comes to greenhouse gas emissions each person generates, said Julia Stein, a professor at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law.

“You’re seeing this play out on kind of a microcosmic scale (with Swift), but that’s true too of industrialised countries their carbon emissions historically,” she said.

OTHERS SCRUTINISED

Swift is the latest of many famous people to be scrutinised over pollution from their globe-trotting. Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio and many others have periodically gotten attention for their travel on private jets.

“It’s striking that Ms. Swift gets so much of the outrage when private jet customers are overwhelmingly men over 50,” said Jeff Colgan, a professor of political science at Brown University. “The focus really should be on a broader class of people.”

Big events, from the Olympic Games to the annual U.N. climate summit have also been criticised because of the thousands of people flying in to attend, and travel that all contribute to climate change.

All air travel creates emissions, though private jets produce much more per person. A 2023 study by the Institute for Policy Studies found that private jets emit at least 10 times more pollutants per passenger compared to commercial planes.

CARBON OFFSETS

One often discussed way to address air travel pollution is paying for carbon offsets, which aim to balance out emissions released. For example, trees pull carbon out of the air, so offset programs include planting trees that, at least in theory, balance out pollution from air travel.

Gates has defended his travel by private plane by saying he purchases offsets and supports clean technology and other sustainability initiatives. Swift’s publicist told The Associated Press that “Taylor purchased more than double the carbon credits needed to offset all tour travel” before her tour began, but did not provide any details.

Still, there are many questions about the effectiveness of offsets. They are loosely regulated and investigations by news organizations in recent years have shown some programs overestimate how much carbon is being captured or have questionable practices.

“Offsets are still the Wild West of climate change and have been riddled with fraud, failed projects, and dubious effectiveness,” said Jonathan Foley, executive director of Project Drawdown, a group that publicises climate solutions. “Planting trees, for example, might work — or not — depending on how the forests are managed in the long run.”

Foley, along with many climate scientists and policy experts, argue that instead of offsets for air travel, it would be much better to sharply reduce the use of planes, particularly of private jets, while developing cleaner fuels. Several airline companies are also developing planes that are powered by electricity, and thus will not have emissions.

Grammys 2024: Taylor Swift could make history if she wins album of the year

The music of Taylor Swift, Drake and Olivia Rodrigo will not be available on TikTok anymore and music label Universal Music Group has started removing the music catalogues of several performers that the label represents from the platform. The move comes after negotiations to renew licensing agreements broke down between the two platforms. The previous licensing agreement between UMG and TikTok expired on January 31.

Videos featuring UMG-owned songs will be muted, and users will have the option to choose a new song to soundtrack their content. This means TikTok users will have to find alternatives to songs of Taylor Swift, Drake and Bob Dylan. The platform has over 1 billion subscribers.&nbsp;

TikTok has grown into one of the most powerful forces in the music industry over the last few years. It’s one of just a few companies which help make songs go viral, and record labels rely on the app to identify new artists and promote their work. It is also a source for listeners to like and listen to new songs and new artists.&nbsp;

On Tuesday, UMG accused the video platform of attempting to bully it into accepting a “bad deal” that didn’t soothe the record labels' concerns regarding adequate compensation for artists and songwriters, protections against AI-generated music, and online safety on the platform to protect artists from “hate speech, bigotry, bullying and harassment.”&nbsp;

TikTok responded saying that it was “disappointing” that UMG had “chosen to walk away from the powerful support of a platform with well over a billion users,” and accused the label of putting its “own greed above the interests of their artists and songwriters.”

Universal starts pulling out music of artists like Taylor Swift, Drake from TikTok after talks fail

It’s time we took the misuse of deepfake technology to target individuals seriously and looks like the US Congress is. After Taylor Swift became a victim of deepfake pornography and her search results on X were polluted with explicit nude deepfake images of the singer, a bipartisan group of US senators introduced a bill that would criminalise the spread of nonconsensual, sexualised images generated by artificial intelligence.&nbsp;

<h2>What does this new US bill against deepfake pornography mean?</h2>

With the new bill introduced, this would allow victims depicted in nude or sexually explicit “digital forgeries” to seek a civil penalty against “individuals who produced or possessed the forgery with intent to distribute it” or anyone who received the material knowing it was not made with consent.&nbsp;

Among the people involved with this bill are Dick Durbin, the US Senate majority whip, and senators Lindsey Graham, Amy Klobuchar and Josh Hawle. The bill is labelled as the Disrupt Explicit Forged Images and Non-Consensual Edits Act of 2024, or the Defiance Act.

In a press release, Dick Durban said, “This month, fake, sexually-explicit images of Taylor Swift that were generated by artificial intelligence swept across social media platforms. Although the imagery may be fake, the harm to the victims from the distribution of sexually explicit ‘deepfakes’ is very real.”

Josh Hawle added, “Nobody – neither celebrities nor ordinary Americans – should ever have to find themselves featured in AI pornography. Innocent people have a right to defend their reputations and hold perpetrators accountable in court. This bill will make that a reality.”

<h2>What was the AI nudes controversy around Taylor Swift?</h2>

Sexualised, exaggerated images of Taylor Swift at football games went viral over the weekend on X. Deepfakes are AI-made images or videos of real people. Over the past few months, these have become increasingly common and many celebrities worldwide have been affected by this. Internet users can remove a person’s clothes or show sexually objectionable activity using the technology. Using AI, people can either swap faces or modify existing images of the celebrity online.&nbsp;

US brings new bill to tackle deepfakes post Taylor Swift AI nudes scandal

Woman of the moment Taylor Swift may have a packed schedule ahead all thanks to her sold-out shows in Tokyo for her Eras Tour, but the singer is ensuring she does not miss out on important events back home in the US. Swift will be attending the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles this weekend but will not be performing at the event.&nbsp;

Swift is up for six Grammy awards this year, including Album of the Year for "Midnights" and Record of the Year for "Anti-Hero". The singer will be present for the February 4 event in Los Angeles but will not be performing owing to her Eras Tour concerts.

Why is Taylor Swift not performing at the Grammys?

According to media reports, Taylor Swift will be resuming her Eras Tour less than three days later on February 7 in Tokyo. There isn’t enough time for her to do a Grammys performance, and then pick up her world tour on the other side of the globe.&nbsp;

It should be noted that Tokyo is 17 hours ahead of Los Angeles, and is about a 10 hour and 50-minute flight away.

The singer will return to the West Coast immediately after her Tokyo shows to attend the Super Bowl where her beau Travis Kelce is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, who are playing in the February 11 game against the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas.

The singer can make it back to Las Vegas in time for the game, despite having a Tokyo concert on February 10. “It’s a brutal flight, but she’ll get on her plane right after the concert,” the source explained.

Kelce and Swift have been going steady as a couple since last year. “Taylor and Travis are so excited that the Chiefs and Travis are heading to the Super Bowl,” the insider said.&nbsp;

“They’re very in love, and Taylor is super proud of him. They’re both extremely dedicated and hardworking and understand each other. They are relishing in this moment.”

Taylor Swift will be attending Grammys 2024 but is not performing. Here's why

This seems like straight out of the movies. Singer Taylor Swift will travel across the globe to support beau Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs at the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Kelce's team earned a spot in the championship after defeating the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship over the weekend. In the Superbowl 2024, the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the San Francisco 49ers.

Swift is currently on the road with her Eras tour and has a sold-out show in Tokyo awaiting her.&nbsp;

The singer has been a regular feature in the stands at Chiefs' National Football League (NFL)&nbsp;games ever since her romance blossomed with Kelce last year.

Swift has nearly attended all of Kelce's games so far.

However, there were speculations on whether she would be attending the Superbowl as it clashes with her Eras tour concert in Tokyo. But now,&nbsp;reports claim that the singer will indeed be a part of the game.&nbsp;

Taylor Swift's Tokyo Eras Tour vs the Super Bowl 2024

Taylor Swift's successful Eras Tour will have four concerts in its Tokyo leg, beginning on February 7 and concluding on February 10. The Super Bowl is scheduled to take place on February 11.

The last Tokyo Dome show is set for February 10, which is the day before the game at Allegiant Stadium. The game is set for 3:30 p.m. local time on February 11. Since there is a favourable time difference between Swift's concert and the game, the singer can make it on time. She will be crossing time zones, but Tokyo is 17 hours ahead of Los Angeles, so she's going back in time.
