<p>For the Sompuras, a father-son duo, it was a journey of more than 30 years to bring into reality the grandeur of Ayodhya's Ram Mandir which was&nbsp;consecrated on Monday (Jan 22).</p>

<p>Ashish Sompura – son of chief architect Chandrakant Sompura – said what has been created today is an extension of what was already present on paper 30 years ago.</p>

<p>“My father (Chandrakant Sompura) started designing the temple in 1988 when GD Birla presented the offer of designing the temple and introduced him to then VHP leader Ashok Singhal, who was at that time visiting India's temple city of Ayodhya,” Ashish told WION.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He said that a lot of work on the temple's design was completed at that time, and the current design is just an &nbsp;extension of the old design.</p>

<p>“The design that was created by my father had been imprinted on the minds of the people, so we did not want to change that image. Also, the photograph of the initial model had already circulated widely and was being worshipped in various houses,” said the architect.</p>

<p>Sompura informed that the original design had two mandapas (pillared hall) and the new design includes&nbsp;five mandapas.</p>

<h2><strong>'First temple to undergo 3D structural analysis for next 2,500 years'</strong></h2>

<p>Emphasising the rare feature of Ram Mandir's garbh griha (sanctum sanctorum), Sompura said, “Garbgrihas are generally square in sharp, however, Ram temple's garbh griha, as well as shikhara (spires), is octagonal because it is related to Lord Vishnu. This is a very rare feature.”</p>

<p>“The temple is three-storeyed. On the ground floor, the idol Ram Lalla will be kept and the first floor will have Ram Darbar.”</p>

<p>Sompura said that the temple's structural strength has been analysed and it is unlikely to be affected by any kind of calamities for the next 2,500 years.</p>

<p>“This is the world's first temple to undergo 3D structural analysis for the next 2,500 years. This means the temple will not be affected by any calamities or earthquakes for such a long span of time,” he said.</p>

<p>Explaining the importance of the Nagara style of temple architecture in which the Ram Mandir has been built, Sompura said, “There are 16 types of architecture in our shastras. Three styles are currently present in India – Nagara, Vesara and Dravidian style. Nagara style is popular in northern India. Nagara is the most developed style architecturally and stands out for its towering shikhara.”</p>

<p>The temple's height is 161 feet and its length is 360 feet. Its total width is 235 feet and there are 12 gates in the temple compound.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After entering the main gate of “Singh Dwar”, there are 32 steps one needs to take to reach the main temple.</p>

<p>He has been running his homoeopathic clinic for the last four decades.</p>

<p>He is also an active Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) member who opposed the Emergency in India in 1975.</p>

<p>Now retired, Anil Mishra has held the official posts of the registrar of the Uttar Pradesh Homeopathic Board and the district Homeopathic officer of Gonda.</p>

<p>In 1981, Anil Mishra received his Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery.</p>

<p>Ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, Dr Anil Mishra, the main host, participated in the pre-rituals and began by taking a dip in the Saryu river.</p>

<p>He then consumed&nbsp;<em>panchgavya</em>&nbsp;(cow milk, curd, ghee, gobar, gau mutra) and started his fast.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A total of 121 priests conducted the pre-rituals under the guidance of Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Pran Pratishtha ceremony's pre-consecration rituals started a week before on January 16. An 11-day satvik&nbsp;ritual was observed by the Indian prime minister to take part in the consecration ceremony during which the leader slept on the floor and only consumed fruits and coconut water. Ahead of the consecration ceremony on Monday (Jan 22), the prime minister participated in the rituals.</p>

<p>The prime minister, in the last few days, took a religious sojourn as he visited various temples in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and then Tamil Nadu, which is linked with Ramayana.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When the auspicious time was chosen, Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid said that the birth of Lord Ram took place at noon when the Sun had reached its peak. The priests had chosen January 22 for holding the consecration ceremony as it is the 12th day (Dwadashi) of Paush (the tenth month of the Hindu calendar) Shukla. "This time is good. People will get a good sense, mental peace by serving God," said Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid, while explaining the significance of the time and date chosen.&nbsp;</p>

They are threatening organisers that they will rip off pandals. Strongly condemn this anti-Hindu, hateful action," the Union finance minister posted on X.</p>

<p>Sharing a clip from a media report, she claimed that the cable operators were earlier told that there would likely be a power outage during the time of the live telecast.</p>

People are threatened for organising bhajans, feeding the poor, and celebrating with sweets, even as we wish to watch PM Narendra Modi participate in Ayodhya. <p>Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has clarified that they have not set up any online platform to help devotees get the 'prasad' offered to Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Ahead of the Ram Mandir '<em>pran pratistha</em>' ceremony in Ayodhya, many people have received the message claiming to offer delivery of 'prasad' from Ayodhya at your doorsteps. It is a new cyber fraud which has started to trick devotees.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In Hinduism, prasad<em>&nbsp;</em>is the offering made to a God or deity in the form of food and consumed later by the devotee. Hindus believe that consuming the prasad is like receiving a blessing from God.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A trust member told the Times of India, "No vendor or agency has been appointed by the trust to distribute the prasad online."</p>

<p>Anil Paranjape, a resident of Mumbai, approached the Ram Temple Trust's office on Wednesday to confirm whether the online platforms offering the prasad were reliable. "But I was not sure and hence visited the trust office to procure the prasad in bulk," he said.</p>

<p>The staff deployed at the office of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra handed him ten packets of the 'elaichi dana' with instructions to mix it with the other prasad for further distribution.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, unlike other temples and religious shrines, carrying the prasad<em>&nbsp;</em>beyond the security checkpoint has not been permitted in Ayodhya.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Prakash Gupta, the temple trust camp office in-charge, said, "Ram Temple Trust is a non-profit organisation. Prasad is only offered within the existing Ram temple to the devotees. No online service has been initiated so far. The prasad is offered free of cost to the devotees and no money is charged. People need to be cautious about online platforms and services as trust has not authorised anybody yet."</p>

<p>Once someone reaches these online platforms offering prasad, they ask for personal and bank account details. Within a matter of seconds, these scammers can gain access to your bank accounts. Police have urged people to report such cyber frauds on the National Cybercrime Helpline (1930) or lodge complaints through cybercrime.gov.in. It is a new cyber fraud which has started to trick devotees. In Hinduism, prasad is the offering made to a God or deity in the form of food and consumed later by the devotee. Hindus believe that consuming the prasad is like receiving a blessing from God. A trust member told the Times of India, "No vendor or agency has been appointed by the trust to distribute the prasad online." Anil Paranjape, a resident of Mumbai, approached the Ram Temple Trust's office on Wednesday to confirm whether the online platforms offering the prasad were reliable. "But I was not sure and hence visited the trust office to procure the prasad in bulk," he said. The staff deployed at the office of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra handed him ten packets of the 'elaichi dana' with instructions to mix it with the other prasad for further distribution. However, unlike other temples and religious shrines, carrying the prasad beyond the security checkpoint has not been permitted in Ayodhya. Prakash Gupta, the temple trust camp office in-charge, said, "Ram Temple Trust is a non-profit organisation. Prasad is only offered within the existing Ram temple to the devotees. No online service has been initiated so far. The prasad is offered free of cost to the devotees and no money is charged. People need to be cautious about online platforms and services as trust has not authorised anybody yet." Once someone reaches these online platforms offering prasad, they ask for personal and bank account details. Within a matter of seconds, these scammers can gain access to your bank accounts. Police have urged people to report such cyber frauds on the National Cybercrime Helpline (1930) or lodge complaints through cybercrime.gov.in.
