Talking about capsizing incidents on Dal Lake, J&amp;K CM Omar Abdullah, while speaking to news agency ANI said, "Two boats capsized in the last days, and hence, we have asked the SDRF to look into it and deploy a team there (at Dal Lake)."
He added, "We all understand the situation here. It will take time. We must look into it so that we don't affect the innocent people of Jammu &amp; Kashmir in our efforts to catch those who were involved in the Pahalgam attack. We have conveyed this concern of ours."

Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, several women Home Guards in Bhuj - who participated in the India-Pakistan 1971 war - have expressed their desire to serve the country again if an opportunity arises.
Jyotiben Upadhyay, who served as a Home Guard, spoke to news agency ANI and said that they used to visit the Bhuj streets in groups during blackouts and assured people that everything was normal. Upadhyay said, "I had joined the Home Guard services in 1971. When the war had started, Pakistan had thrown 17 bombs on Bhuj in a single day...there was a blackout in Bhuj, and we all used to go in the streets together and comfort the people who were scared of the situation."&nbsp;
"Today, the same situation is arising again; terrorists have again attacked Kashmir. Innocent civilians were killed. There is definitely an atmosphere of war on the borders. We women will have to gather courage and be alert again...Even if they call us today for any desk job, I am ready to serve again," she added.

Including their children and grandchildren, these families now make up a population of over 500 people in the district.
The women, while remaining foreign nationals, hold Indian ration and Aadhaar cards. These allow them access to welfare schemes, though none have been granted Indian citizenship yet. All 22 women have reportedly applied for citizenship and continue to live in the country on valid long-term visas.

Moradabad&rsquo;s Superintendent of Police (City) Kumar Ranvijay Singh said police are compiling full details of all Pakistani-origin families in the district. &ldquo;Comprehensive data collection is underway. Information is being compiled on all Pakistani-origin families in the area, including the status of their visa applications, ration card usage, family sizes and overseas connections,&rdquo; he stated.
