Additionally, it can also adjust its temperatures as per your need, and all its features can be controlled via an app.&nbsp;

Another company, Sleep Number, also unveiled an AI mattress last year. This one can detect health problems and make appropriate adjustments.

A study by researchers from the University of Copenhagen's Department of Computer Science in collaboration with the Danish Centre for Sleep Medicine at the danish hospital Rigshospitalet has developed an AI-based algorithm that can improve the diagnosis, treatment and overall understanding of sleep disorders.

While these technological advancements are amazing, they are also expensive. So, it will be a few years till they become commonplace.&nbsp;

The court&nbsp;ruled that the time spent by employees on messaging app for work-related purposes outside of office hours can be counted as overtime.

In a&nbsp;case&nbsp;brought by an employee who claimed to have worked more than 2,000 hours of overtime in one year, mostly due to responding to messages on the app, the court ruled in the employee's favour and instructed the employer to pay for the additional hours worked.&nbsp;As per a Times UK report, the employee who is only known by her family name Li has been awarded around $4,365 or 30,000 yuan for work outside of office hours.

Her employer reportedly argued that Li's claims of overtime were unfounded and said that the work did not qualify as such. They said that employees only had to reply to "occasional questions" from staff.

The ruling is seen as a victory for workers' rights in China, where labour laws as per the report are often poorly enforced, and employees are vulnerable to exploitation.&nbsp;

We've all been there. You&nbsp;have a song you can't get out of your head, maybe you hate it, but you still find yourself humming its tune. Why does this happen? Turns out there's science behind this. A new study has revealed the science behind earworms and has even come up with a way you can kick them out of your head.&nbsp;

Guardian reports that the research by Professor Emery Schubert of the University of New South Wales Arts and Media School found that earworms creep into our brains while we're relaxed, or rather when our brains are in a "low-attentional state."

Shubert describes this as the state which is "sometimes referred to as mind wandering."

"In other words, if you’re deeply engaged with the environment you are in, really concentrating on a task, then you won’t get an earworm," he explains.

The study which has been published in the journal Music &amp; Science found that these "involuntary musical imagery" are often choruses of songs and that certain songs are more successful as earworms. This is because they have catchy, repetitive tunes that our brains are familiar with.

Schubert says that most research on earworms to date has analysed the song's hook — a short riff or passage that works to catch a listener's attention. He, however, said the research fails to take into consideration the "repetition of the music structure".

To reiterate this point, the research makes reference to an earlier study that revealed that Lady Gaga's Bad Romance&nbsp;is one of the most persistent earworms.

"The implication is that earworms might not have anything to do with the musical features at all. It largely doesn’t matter what the music is, as long as repetition is part of the music structure."

Now, if you're looking for a way to get rid of the earworm, apparently it's very simple. All you have to do is either finish off the music by&nbsp;"consciously thinking of another piece of music, or by removing yourself from the triggers, such as words or memories that relate to the music or lyrics."

But as it turns out, earworms are not all that useless. Schubert, the researcher behind this study, said that earworms could actually help solve questions about human consciousness and even provide insight into how our minds organise and recall material.

The feature which will be launching next week will allow for the possibility of text-to-video generation. The new ability will be launched as part of GPT-4, a new "more powerful and versatile" update of GPT 3.5, which as per tech website Stuff is ChatGPT's large language model. The update was announced by Andreas Braun, Chief Technology Officer of Microsoft Germany, at the 'AI in Focus — Digital Kickoff' held on March 4. Microsoft is the largest investor in OpenAI, the company behind the popular Chatbot.

As per reports, the model is expected to be multimodal, i.e., it will include capabilities beyond just text, and will include images and videos.

Reportedly, the town will not be called 'Elonland', 'Muskville' or even be named after the billionaire. Rather, it will be named 'Snailbrook'&nbsp;after The Boring Company's mascot —&nbsp;Gary the Snail.&nbsp;

Streets in the town will have names like 'Boring Boulevard',&nbsp;'Waterjet Way' and 'Cutterhead Crossing'.&nbsp;These names have reportedly been approved by Bastrop County officials in county meetings.

Over the last four years, Elon Musk's companies have purchased 3,500 acres&nbsp;in the Austin area. This is equal to&nbsp;land four times the size of New York's massive Central Park. This figure is based on county deeds and other land records.

Citing local real-estate and land officials, WSJ says that the size of the land the Twitter CEO owns might actually be more — as much as 6,000 acres.

<h2>Why would Musk's employees leave their houses and move there?</h2>

The housing in Snailbrook will be available to Elon Musk's employees at reduced rents.

Starting last year, Boring employees could apply for cheaper homes with rents starting from just $800 a month for two or three-bedroom houses. This is around three times cheaper than the current market rate.

Currently, the average rent in Bastrop, Texas, as per real-estate listing company Zillow Group Inc stands at around $2,200 a month.

<h2>What about the employees' families?</h2>

They will, of course, be permitted to reside in Snailbrook. As per the WSJ report, the Boring Company even plans to convert a home on the property into a Montessori school for as many as 15 students.

Given the businessman's flair for innovation, it for sure won't be just some boring town. Work at the site has already begun, and it will house modular homes, a pool and an outdoor sports area so the employees can stay fit.

Reportedly, Musk, his former girlfriend Grimes and Kanye West a.k.a Ye last year had several discussions over what the town might look like.

<h2>So, when do they move in?</h2>

Most probably as soon as the construction is done.&nbsp;

The billionaire may even have plans to have the town incorporated. But, before Musk can apply for incorporation or charter from the state, Snailbrook will need at least 201 residents and a county judge's approval.

Bastrop County, as per its spokesperson, is yet to receive an application from Musk or any of his entities.

Once Snailbrook gets incorporated, it will legally be allowed to have its own elected officials, and make its own rules.

Before Texas, California was Musk's home. However, the billionaire left his longtime home some two years back. His companies, Tesla and The Boring Company, also had their headquarters moved from California to Texas.

This, as per a 2021 statement by the Tesla CEO, is because California is the land of "overregulation, overlitigation, overtaxation".

Yes, the report citing 'people familiar with the plans' claims that the plans for Snailbrook include a project to build a private residential compound for Musk.

However, this private compound won't be located within the rest of the employee housing. It'll be at some distance from the planned town.

Texas, as per WSJ, has "fewer zoning laws and environmental and labour requirements, and has vast swaths of loosely regulated land".&nbsp;Additionally, Texas does not impose corporate income tax or income or capital gains taxes on individuals.

Even as the plans and construction for Snailbrook town progress at breakneck speed, residents of the area aren't too happy. David Barrow, who runs a farm in Bastrop, is worried the new projects could threaten the Colorado River's water quality.

His worries may be justified. Recently, the Boring Company applied for a permit from Texas state environmental authorities. This permit seeks to discharge up to 140,000 gallons of industrial wastewater a day into the Colorado River.&nbsp;

"I would like to know what is actually being sprayed, what they’re actually building, and who is going to hold them accountable," says the farmer.

Adena Lewis, the county’s director of tourism and economic development, however, says she has no concerns that the company's development could harm the river or surrounding farmland. Despite this, after being approached by the county's farmers, State Senator Sarah Eckhardt requested a public environmental hearing.

"We’re going to need to have more of a conversation and be able to verify the assertions that these companies are making with regard to the discharge permit into the Colorado River," she said. The hearing is scheduled for this month.

They are seeking $5 million in compensation on account of general damages and emotional distress.

The couple were on their honeymoon and had booked the trip to Lanai, a tiny island near Maui, in September 2021.

Writing for Daily Mail, Dr Deepak Bhatt, a cardiologist at New York's Mount Sinai hospital, says that the signs are generally subtle. He asserts that common problems like anxiety, fatigue and limb pain could actually be a sign of something much more serious.

These days, given the schedule and lifestyle we keep, almost everyone feels anxious. However, as per Bhatt, this could point to underlying heart problems.

As per him, anxiety and heart disease generally come hand in hand, constant uneasiness can damage the heart over time.

"It's hard to know which came first. It's a chicken or egg situation," he says.

A 2015 study by Harvard University researchers found that anxiety increases the risk of coronary artery disease (CAD) turning fatal by 21 per cent.

<h2>Sweating</h2>

Think profuse, excess sweating. This can be due to your heart working overtime to pump blood through blocked passageways.&nbsp;The cardiologist warns that sudden profuse sweating, "especially when a person is not taking part in any physical activity, could be one of the first signs of a heart attack."

<h2>Leg pain</h2>

Many of us might consider this a side-effect of getting older, but even this could be an unexpected signal for heart disease.

Tingling and pain in the legs are actually major symptoms. It happens due to Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD). As per Daily Mail, this condition happens when "arteries in the legs become narrow and blocked by the build-up of plaque".

Bhatt says that "even doctors don't think about it."

"If a person suffers pain, numbness or tingling in the legs while walking, and then it suddenly stops when they take a moment of rest, it could be time to go to the doctor," he adds.

<h2>Fatigue</h2>

Getting tired at the end of the day is normal, but chronic fatigue isn't.

"Fatigue is a tough one," says Bhatt, "it's a very non-specific symptom. Most fatigue is not due to heart disease, maybe just a bad night's sleep."

However, if you are suffering from chronic, constant fatigue, it might be time to see a doctor.

While these signs may be innocuous for the majority of people, if they are accompanied by giveaway symptoms like chest tightening or are happening to a person with a history of heart disease, seeking medical help is the right way to go.

A temple in the southern Indian state of Kerala has taken a revolutionary step by introducing a robot elephant to do religious rituals. This move towards holding religious events in a "cruelty-free manner" comes after years of concerns by animal activists. As per a BBC report, the mechanical robot has been donated to the Irinjadappilly Sree Krishna Temple in Thrissur district by People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India and actress Parvathy Thiruvothu. The robot, which is made of an iron frame, is 11 feet tall and weighs 800 kg. The initiative is reportedly part of a pledge to stop using live animals for festivities.

Animal welfare organisations have for years flagged the "cruel" treatment temple animals face. Just last week, the Centre for Research on Animal Rights wrote to Kerala's chief minister regarding the increasing mortality of captive elephants in the state.&nbsp;

The letter alleged that between 2018 and 2023, the mortality of the large mammal increased significantly, with over&nbsp;138 captive elephants&nbsp;dying over the period of five years.

"It's high time we made stronger and more impactful strides towards stopping such abuse and letting animals have respectful and dignified lives," said the organisation.

February 10&nbsp;marked the second anniversary of China's ambitious Tianwen 1 mission — which also happens to be the nation's first interplanetary mission. Amid the celebration, one voice remained silent, that of China's Zhurong Mars rover, which was sent to the surface of the red planet as part of Beijing's Tianwen 1 mission. The Chinese rover has been in "hibernation" for months. It was supposed to wake up back in December of last year. However, almost two months later, its slumber still continues. Last month, a report expressed hope that Zhurong would come out of its sleep, but recent images from NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter show that it hasn't changed its position for five months.

As per NASA, the rover hasn't moved since September 2022. The space agency's office at the University of Arizona which manages the HiRISE camera released a series of images, which show that Zhurong has not changed its position between September 8, 2022 and February 7,&nbsp;2023.

The rover entered its hibernation mode way back on May 18,&nbsp;2022, to survive barren Mars' harsh winter months. During winter on the red planet, temperatures can fall down to minus 195 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 125 degrees Celsius).

As per Jia Yang, Tianwen 1 mission deputy chief designer, the rover would wake up when two conditions are met: it can generate energy greater than 140 watts and the planet’s temperature, or rather the region where the rover is, reaches the somewhat warmer, 5 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 15 degrees Celsius).

However, it is possible that due to Mars' sand storms, Zhurong which uses solar arrays for energy might be unable to do so. Dust may be hindering the rover's arrays. Even if it never wakes up, the rover has already achieved significant things; it successfully completed one year of operations, for which it was also presented with the International Astronautical Federation's annual space achievement award in September 2022.

RT News reports that the object was first spotted on Monday (February 20th) morning by a local woman in the city of Hamamatsu in the Shizuoka Prefecture. The object reportedly measures around 1.5 metres (4.9 feet) in diameter and, based on the rust on its surface, is believed to be made of iron. However, the exact metal is yet to be identified. Police have cordoned off a 200-meter radius around the object.

The mysterious ball may have washed ashore from the sea. Pictures and videos of the object have widely been shared on social media websites. They show that the ball has two latching points on opposite ends.

In a surprising case from Australia, parents of multiple children were taken aback by the remarkable similarity of their children's looks. The parents, who were members of Australia's LGBTQI + community, were gathered for a community barbeque event. They soon&nbsp;discovered that the children&nbsp;—&nbsp;60 in total — have all been fathered by the same sperm donor.&nbsp;

The as-of-yet unnamed donor used fake aliases to donate sperm to multiple sperm banks and also through other "unofficial or informal means".

As per Dr Anne Clark of IVF clinic Fertility First, "the reason he was discovered is because he wasn't fully Caucasian."

In Australia where it is illegal to pay or give gifts to obtain any human tissue (including sperm), the donor via Facebook groups and other informal means got gifts and holidays, says Dr Clark, calling this "a complete criminal offence".

The case has brought to light these informal donations, which according to Daily Mail are booming. As per the report, these online forums have been "springing up" offering to connect desperate wannabe parents with willing donors."

On two such Facebook pages named 'Sperm Donation Australia' and 'Australian Backpackers Seeking Sperm Donation', posts asking for or offering donations are aplenty.&nbsp;

Aimee Shackleton, national director of Donor Conceived Australia, says there is "little regard for the effects such a decision would have on the child."

She adds that "people talk about meeting up in a car park or hotel and passing over a fresh sample for immediate use."

In her opinion, "our life ought to begin with dignity, and not as a process of some unregulated anonymous transaction."

For this India-based scholar, Chilukuri Santhamma, Physics is a passion and teaching is her purpose in life, one which she continues to pursue even at her advanced age. Santhamma, who was born in the southeastern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on March 8, 1929, retired in 1989 at the age of 60. However, even after her retirement, she chose to continue teaching and now has been inspiring young minds for seven decades.&nbsp;

To fulfil her passion for teaching, every day, the nonagenarian travels 60 kilometres from Vizag to Vizianagaram. She teaches Physics at Andhra's Centurian University.

The researchers were tasked by the Swiss Federal Institute for Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection to see whether AI could be manipulated towards nefarious motives. They successfully generated not one or two but 40,000 potentially toxic drugs in just six hours.

Fabio Urbina, one of the researchers, and the lead author of a paper detailing these findings told 'The Verge' a technology magazine that all they had to do was 'flip the switch' and say "instead of going away from toxicity, what if we go towards toxicity?".

As per Urbina, the concern isn't that the AI came up with these "molecules, a lot of which look like chemical warfare agents,"&nbsp;but "how easy it was."

Reportedly, some of the AI-produced molecules were even "more toxic than VX" — a toxic nerve agent developed by the UK’s Defense Science and Technology Lab in the 1950s. VX is a toxic agent which kills its victims through muscle paralysis.
