Kanye West, the famous US rapper hints that he'll be running for the presidential elections in 2024 and wants former US President Donald Trump to be his running mate.

Trump, however, dismissed a recent meeting with the West as of no significance. He last week said that he will run for the upcoming election after he was defeated by Joe Biden in 2020, AFP reported.

The rapper then shared a video of himself talking about seeing the former president this week in Florida. In the video, he said, "I think the thing that Trump was most perturbed about (was) me asking him to be my vice president." He continued that Trump began yelling at him at the table telling him that he will not win. "I'm like, hold on Trump, you're talking to Ye," he said.

Ye after his dinner on the same day asked users, "What you guys think his response was when I asked him to be my running mate in 2024?"

The former president however stated the dinner at his residence Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday was "quick and uneventful." He said that Ye called him to arrange a dinner and he later unexpectedly showed up with his three friends. They ate dinner and left for the airport.

Trump also wrote about his meeting with West on his Truth Social platform, claiming that they discussed politics "to a lesser extent" and business and that West had asked for Trump's advice concerning some of his difficulties. On his account, he said, "the two got along great." Further continuing he said "he should definitely not run for President" because "'any voters you may have should vote for TRUMP.'"

It's unclear if the rapper is serious about his objectives or whether he was just looking for attention following a string of PR stunts that damaged his reputation. The famous US rapper ran for president in 2020 but received less than 70,000 votes, landing in eighth place.

Trump, meanwhile, distanced himself from a pre-Thanksgiving dinner at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida with Kanye West, and white supremacist Nick Fuentes, claiming he didn’t know the identity of the far-right activist who was unexpectedly brought along with the rapper.

“This past week, Kanye West called me to have dinner at Mar-a-Lago. Shortly thereafter, he unexpectedly showed up with three of his friends, whom I knew nothing about,” Trump said in a statement on his Truth Social platform.

On Thursday (Nov 24), Honduran President Xiomara Castro proclaimed a national security emergency to tackle the escalating number of extortion crimes by criminal gang groups.

The government has also started a new executing strategy to tackle the violations with the deployment of 20,000 police officers, additional security measures for the highways, and anti-money laundering measures, Reuters reported.

In a televised address, the socialist president unveiled a new strategy to fight extortion that plagues the country.

Castro's proposed measures would permit the suspension of several constitutional rights in regions where criminal activity prevails. The measures went into effect on the same day, but the authority still needs to authorise the suspension of fundamental rights. The proclamation also permits the Honduran government to utilise public funds to combat the criminal gangs involved in kidnapping and drug trafficking.

The announcement comes after pressure from businessmen, transportation drivers, and NGOs who claim that recent months have seen an increase in extortion, most by the Mara Salvatrucha MS-13 and Mara Barrio 18 gangs.

The gangs have promised to not harm anyone who pays the so-called "war tax." People who have been able to pay taxes were out of the terror while individuals who failed to do that were killed.

As per the Association for a More Just Society, a non-governmental group that focuses, this extortion nets the gang a yearly income of $737 million or 3 per cent of the nation's GDP.

Data from the ad measuring company Pathmatics revealed that the top 100 advertisers spent an estimated $23.6 million on Twitter between November 10 and November 16. However, many claimed that rather than representing India's demand, the remark appeared to be a ply by India to deflect criticism of its usage of coal. This proposal made little forward on important topics including the replenishment of the adaption funds and a new collective quantifiable target for climate financing.

Additionally, the framework also committed the necessity for developed countries to achieve their "net negative carbon emissions by 2030" and their disproportionate use of the global carbon budget, which India and other developing and developed nations put great emphasises on during the summit.

A Palestinian was hailed as a hero by Islamists after he killed three Israelis near a Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank, a few hours before Benjamin Netanyahu returned to power with a right wing coalition.

The killing took place at Ariel's settlement's industrial zone where a man who was allegedly carrying a knife killed the three individuals. The man was later shot dead by one of the soldiers in the area.

However, the rise in control of Ben-Gvir came as worry for Arabs in Israel over his racist incitement and support for an outlawed Jewish militant group. He said that he wants to be police minister, and Netanyahu said the coalition will agree soon on the matter. Ben-Gvir claims that he has moderated since then. He's also been convicted in criminal cases.

The Palestinian health ministry identified the knifeman as an 18-year-old from a neighbouring village. The ministry further stated that the man started stabbing people as soon as he entered the area.

The United States also showed concern over the recent brutal attack.

Former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan has expressed desire to mend ties with the US in future, after a relentless campaign alleging that an American conspiracy was behind his ouster.

During an interview with Financial Times, Khan said that he no longer held the US responsible and wished to maintain respectful relations with the superpower if he returns to power.

Khan held the current Pakistan administration more responsible for the conspiracy than the US. He said that in the past, the US and Pakistan had master-servant relations and that they had been used like a hired gun. Khan said, "But for that, I blame my own government more than the US."

A 29-year-old woman in Texas has been sentenced to death for killing a pregnant acquaintance in October 2020 so that the foetus inside her womb could be removed and stolen.

Taylor Parker on Wednesday was sentenced in Texas after a lengthy trial that began in September this year.

Also read | World's first saliva-based pregnancy test kit launched in Israel; to be available globally in 2023

The drama began when Parker announced her pregnancy to her boyfriend and family over a period of time. She purchased a fake silicone tummy and shared this news on social media. However, everything was a lie. The actual truth was that because of the Hysterectomy, she was unable to get pregnant.

The horrific scene of the murder happened on October 09, 2020, when Readab Simmons-Hancock, a 21-year-old pregnant acquaintance in her last stages of pregnancy was stabbed over 100 times in her home by Parker. Parker then sliced her stomach to take her unborn child. Her three-year-old daughter was also present at the time of the instance but was sleeping in another room, AFP reported.
