As a fan, grappling with these accusations feels like trying to reconcile two vastly different narratives. On one hand, there's the artist whose music has been a source of happiness and inspiration. On the other, there is the person at the centre of deeply troubling accusations that raise questions about ethics and morality.</p>

<p>Navigating this labyrinth of emotions isn't easy. As a fan, there is a natural instinct in me to defend the artist whose work has meant so much. The acquittal in the 2005 trial and the inconsistencies in the accusations provide some comfort to those of us who want to believe in his innocence. Yet, there is also the weight of the alleged victims' stories, the unsettling feeling that enjoying his music might inadvertently dismiss their pain.</p>

<p>This doesn't mean I disregard the joy his music has brought me, but it does mean I can't ignore the pain that he may have caused for the alleged victims.</p>

<h2><strong>Time for a moral reckoning?</strong></h2>

<p>I have decided I can no longer close my eyes to the disconcerting questions that linger around Jackson. These allegations, which do seem credible to me,&nbsp;against Jackson have shattered the illusions I held dear. The melodies that once uplifted my spirits and filled my heart with rhythm have lost their magic. From the first time I encountered his songs to the countless moments I spent immersed in his music, Michael Jackson's artistry was a significant part of my life. Yet, the allegations of child sexual abuse loom large, casting doubt on the artist whose music I once embraced.&nbsp;</p>

<p>While some argue that his artistic brilliance supersedes everything, I find myself unable to celebrate or honour it. The allegations paint a disturbing picture that, for me anyway,&nbsp;outweighs the magic of his music. The unease in my heart and the weight of responsibility lead me to, finally, reject the legacy I once admired.&nbsp;</p>

As a fan, there is a natural instinct in me to defend the artist whose work has meant so much. The acquittal in the 2005 trial and the inconsistencies in the accusations provide some comfort to those of us who want to believe in his innocence. Yet, there is also the weight of the alleged victims' stories, the unsettling feeling that enjoying his music might inadvertently dismiss their pain. Confronting the uncomfortable It's a nuanced dance between admiration and introspection. The artist I have idolised seems to be at odds with the person he might have been behind closed doors. It's a struggle to reconcile the two, to honour the impact his art has had on my life while acknowledging the potential pain he might have caused others. Unlike some who argue for the separation of art from the artist, I have always struggled with that notion. How can I separate the music that has shaped my life from the person who created it? It's a personal decision, and for me, it's essential to acknowledge that art and the artist are inherently intertwined. This doesn't mean I disregard the joy his music has brought me, but it does mean I can't ignore the pain that he may have caused for the alleged victims. Time for a moral reckoning? I have decided I can no longer close my eyes to the disconcerting questions that linger around Jackson. These allegations, which do seem credible to me, against Jackson have shattered the illusions I held dear. The melodies that once uplifted my spirits and filled my heart with rhythm have lost their magic. From the first time I encountered his songs to the countless moments I spent immersed in his music, Michael Jackson's artistry was a significant part of my life. Yet, the allegations of child sexual abuse loom large, casting doubt on the artist whose music I once embraced. While some argue that his artistic brilliance supersedes everything, I find myself unable to celebrate or honour it. The allegations paint a disturbing picture that, for me anyway, outweighs the magic of his music. <p>Safechuck and Robson have argued that the companies, MJJ Productions and MJJ Ventures, which were solely owned by Jackson, have a legal duty to protect them.</p>

<p>This is the second time Wade and James have knocked on the court's doors. The pair first filed the case in 2013 and 2014, but the lawsuits were dismissed due to the statute of limitations. However, they filed a new lawsuit in 2020 under the new law, but their cases were dismissed again by the lower court judges, who agreed with Jackson’s companies, and argued that the two companies had no legal duty to protect Robson and Safechuck or anyone else from Jackson as they had no ability to control him.</p>

<p>Reacting to the court's decision, attorneys for the Estate of Michael Jackson, expressed their disappointment.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We are disappointed with the Court's decision. Two distinguished trial judges repeatedly dismissed these cases on numerous occasions over the last decade because the law required it. We remain fully confident that Michael is innocent of these allegations, which are contrary to all credible evidence and independent corroboration, and which were only first made years after Michael’s death. Michael Jackson’s Neverland statues back up for sale with no package deal this time

<p>In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old homeless man, Jordan Neely, who was screaming on a subway train, died on Monday afternoon when a fellow passenger grabbed him and placed him in a chokehold.</p>

<p>On Wednesday evening, his death was ruled a homicide, the city's medical examiner confirmed.</p>

<p>Neely, with a history of mental health issues, started ranting in an aggressive manner on board.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A freelance journalist Juan Alberto Vazquez was at the scene and in a conversation with New York Post, shared the details of the incident.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Vazquez said, “He starts to make a speech. He started screaming in an aggressive manner.”</p>

<p>“He said he had no food, he had no drink, that he was tired and doesn’t care if he goes to jail. He started screaming all these things, took off his jacket, a black jacket that he had, and threw it on the ground," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Triggered by the ranting, a passenger pushed Neely onto the ground and held him in a deadly chokehold for about 15 minutes.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Julie Bolcer, a spokesperson for the medical examiner, Neely died from compression to his neck as a result of the chokehold.</p>

<p>The killing has led to investigations by both the police and prosecutors, according to a spokesperson for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. As of Wednesday afternoon, nobody had been arrested.</p>

<p>“As part of our rigorous ongoing investigation, we will review the Medical Examiner’s report, assess all available video and photo footage, identify and interview as many witnesses as possible, and obtain additional medical records,” the district attorney’s spokesperson said in a statement as per The New York Times report.</p>

<p>“This investigation is being handled by senior, experienced prosecutors and we will provide an update when there is additional public information to share,” he added.</p>

<p>Journalist Vazquez recorded the incident in a three-and-half-minute-long video.</p>

<p>The video showed some fellow riders helping&nbsp;pin down Neely while others kept watching.</p>

<p>“He moved his arms but he couldn’t express anything,” Vazquez said of Neely. “All he could do was move (his) arms."&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Then suddenly he just stopped moving,” Vazquez recalled. “He was out of strength.”</p>

<p>“None of us who were there thought he was in danger of dying,” Vazquez said. “We thought he just passed out or ran out of air. I think that in one sense it’s fine that citizens want to jump in and help. But I think as heroes we have to use moderation,” he said.</p>

<p>“This would never have happened if the police had shown up within five minutes,” he added. “Then we’d be talking about a true hero. It’s complicated.”</p>

<h2><strong>Who was Neely?</strong></h2>

<p>Neely, whom people knew as a Michael Jackson impersonator, used to live on the streets and had a history of mental health issues. He used to perform on the subway in exchange for money.</p>

<p>His father, Andre Zachery, said that he was only four years old when he introduced him to Jackson's music. As he grew older, he began impersonating the King of Pop.</p>

<p>“He looked just like him,” recalled Zachery. “He used to perform on the block. One day, people were loving him. Michael!”</p>

<p>“Jordan was a good man,” his grieving father told The Daily News. “He was a good person. He grew up good. He always had a (temper), but he never used to hurt anyone ... He wasn’t bad. He was beautiful.”</p>

<p>He said that his son was autistic and that the murder of his mother in the year 2007 in New Jersey affected him deeply.</p>

<p>“He didn’t care anymore after that,” he said while talking to The Daily News. “Once his mother died ... They were very close. He loved her so much that he just lost it. After we buried her, he just wasn’t the same anymore,” he revealed.</p>

<p>People worldwide took to Twitter to express dismay over the unfortunate incident and called out the unnecessary violence.</p>

He spotted the estate from the air while looking at another location and contacted Tom Barrack, the founder of real estate investment company Colony Capital LLC, to seal the sale. The ranch was off the market at the time.</p>

<p>Jackson, who died from an overdose of the anesthetic Propofol in 2009 at age 50, bought the property in Los Olivos, about 120 miles (193 km) north of Los Angeles, in 1988 for $19.5 million. After financial troubles, in 2008 he handed over the title to Colony Capital LLC, which held a loan on the property.</p>

<p>Neverland, a name taken from the “Peter Pan” tale of a boy who refused to grew up, became Jackson’s favorite retreat and famously featured a zoo, a railway and theme park rides.</p>

<p>It also was where he entertained children, one of whom brought molestation charges against the singer that resulted in a 2005 trial and Jackson’s acquittal on all charges.</p>

<p>Jackson vowed never to return to Neverland after the trial.</p>

<p>Burkle is the controlling shareholder of Soho House, a private members club that attracts people in the entertainment and media industries and which has properties in New York, London, Los Angeles and Hong Kong.</p>

<p>In a scathing letter written by Michael Jackson, the king of pop had slammed musical icons like The Beatles and Elvis Presley along with MTV calling out the racial inequality in the music industry.<br />

The letters, written in 1987, have been made public for the first time by British newspaper The Sun which shows the anger of the late pop star over prevalent racism and how he used it to fuel his stardom.<br />

"Throughout history, white men have always branded the pages of history with Great White Hopes putting whites over Blacks like nobles like Elvis being the King of Rock and Roll, Springsteen being The Boss and The Beatles being the best,' Jackson wrote in the letter.<br />
<br />
He said that The Beatles 'were good' but 'they weren't better singers or dancers than the Blacks.'<br />
<br />
The musician also added that the whites controlled the media and that they could "make the public believe whatever they desire."<br />

'I will change this NOW with the power of my songs and dance and looks and total reclusiveness and mystery world. I will rule as the King,' he wrote and added that Elvis was not the 'king' and he would 'show Springsteen who's boss' adding he was 'very angry' and had to prove himself and 'change things.'<br />

In his letter, he also wrote that he wanted to be the King so that 'white children can have Black heroes so they don't grow up prejudice.'<br />
