A Jharkhand family has claimed to have tracked a lost family member at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, the world's largest religious gathering, after a long search spanning 27 years.
Gangasagar Yadav, now a 65-year-old &lsquo;Aghori&rsquo; monk called Baba Rajkumar, had gone missing in 1998, the family says.

The man&rsquo;s whereabouts had been unknown ever since he travelled to Patna, Bihar, reported news agency PTI. His wife Dhanwa Devi, raised their two sons, Kamlesh and Vimlesh, alone.
<h2>The missing man</h2>
Gangasagar's younger brother, Murli Yadav, said, &ldquo;Over the years, we lost hope of ever seeing him again until one of our relatives attending the Kumbh Mela noticed a man resembling Gangasagar and took his photograph. The photo was sent to us and I, along with Dhanwa Devi and their two sons, rushed to the Kumbh Mela, determined to take him back.&rdquo;

However, upon meeting, Baba Rajkumar denied acknowledging his past identity as Gangasagar Yadav. Rajkumar said that he was a sadhu from Varanasi and refused all connections to his past life.
While some of the family members returned home, others stayed at the Maha Kumbh Mela to keep an eye on Baba Rajkumar and his companion Sadhvi. After the festival concludes, the family plans to take legal action if the proposed DNA test confirms his identity as Gangasagar.

<h2>Family demands DNA test</h2>
The family insisted that he was Gangasagar, noting that his long teeth, scar on his knee, and injury mark on the forehead were the same. His family is demanding a DNA test to confirm his identity.

They also reveal that Air India is expected to add additional daily flights from Delhi starting February 1

The unprecedented price hikes to Prayagraj following massive demand triggered a lot of backlash from travellers. Social media was abuzz with airfare comparisons to international destinations. The government intervention has now forced airlines to reduce airfares and coordinate with their travel booking partners to ensure no unreasonable hike.&nbsp;
Still, there is more room for reduction. Flights from Mumbai and Hyderabad still remain incredibly high. Currently, there are 132 flights connecting 17 cities to Prayagraj. This number is also expecting a boost as the 'one in 144 years' event enters its final month.
With strict restrictions now in place, the government is trying to balance security concerns and airfare control as demand peaks.

On Tuesday, filmmaker Kabir Khan was seen at Prayagraj airport, where he told reporters that he had come to take a dip in the holy Ganges.&nbsp; Choreographer and reality show judge Remo D'Souza too took a dip in the holy river and shared a video of his visit on Instagram later.&nbsp; While speaking to news agency ANI, Khan said, "I am very excited. This happens once in 12 years. I feel fortunate to have come here. I will take a holy dip here too. These things are not about Hindus and Muslims, these are the things of our origin, our country and our civilization."

The saints of different Akharas have humbly said that devotees should take a holy dip first and once crowds reduce, Akharas will proceed for the holy dip."
"There are large crowds at Sangam Nose, Nag Vasuki Marg and Sangam Marg. I appeal to the devotees to not pay attention to any rumour. Ghats have been made in the entire Kumbh area; devotees don't need to move towards Sangam nose only. Devotees should take a holy dip at the ghats nearest to them," Yogi appealed while ensuring proper medical treatment of the injured persons.

Speaking to PTI, a pilgrim identified as Sarojini recalled the chaos and said, "There was no chance for escape."
The woman, a pilgrim from India's southern state of Karnataka, told the news agency that she was part of a batch of 60 people, all of whom got "trapped" in the "uncontrolled" crowd.&nbsp;
"We came in a batch of 60 people in two buses, we were nine people in the group. Suddenly there was pushing in the crowd, and we got trapped. A lot of us fell down, and the crowd became uncontrolled," she said, weeping outside the hospital where the injured had been taken.
"There was no chance for escape, there was pushing from all sides," she added.

As Prayagraj is gearing up for the Amrit Snan on Mauni Amavasya on Wednesday (Jan 29), the Uttar Pradesh government has further hiked security. Over 100 million pilgrims are expected to visit the Maha Kumbh in just a day.

The Maha Kumbh Mela area has been declared a no-vehicle zone for the coming few days. The Prayagraj administration has also urged local residents to avoid using four-wheelers and opt for two-wheelers if they are carrying a senior citizen to the Sangam.

As per the data of the Uttar Pradesh government, on Thursday as of now over 16.98 lakh people took dip in the sacred confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and mystical Saraswati.

Following the meeting, Minister of State for Minority Welfare, Danish Azad Ansari, spoke with enthusiasm about the government's ongoing efforts to uplift Uttar Pradesh. Maha Kumbh mela fire: Tents, huts gutted in India's Prayagraj; UP CM Adityanath visits site

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Saturday and said it is "a spiritual and cultural mega festival of Indianness," a statement from the Uttar Pradesh government read.
