As per an AFP report, during his meeting with the Chinese President Biden will urge him&nbsp;to restrain North Korea's "worst tendencies" and warn the leader that Pyongyang's arms build-up will prompt an "enhanced" US military presence in Asia.&nbsp;

Talking to reporters, on Saturday National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that in a Monday meeting with Xi on the sidelines of the G20 summit, Biden will tell him that his country has "an interest in playing a constructive role in restraining North Korea's worst tendencies".

North Korea plans to resume nuclear bomb testing for the first time since 2017 and as per Reuters the United States is worried and believes China and Russia have the leverage to prevent it. Additionally, Biden will tell Xi that if North Korea "keeps going down this route," it will simply mean an even stronger American military and security presence in the region.

The senior US official stated that Biden would not put demands on China, but rather would give Xi "his perspective". Sullivan was speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One en way to Cambodia for a regional ASEAN meeting this weekend, reports AFP.

He added that this is because "North Korea represents a threat not just to the United States, not just to (South Korea) and Japan but to peace and stability across the entire region."

It is "of course up to them" whether China wants to exert further pressure on North Korea, reiterated Sullivan the US national adviser. However, he added that with North Korea poised to test a nuclear bomb shortly and rapidly expanding its missile capabilities "the operational situation is more acute in the current moment".

International restrictions pushed by the United States have not been able to stop North Korea's expanding arsenal. This year, it conducted a record-breaking number of weapons tests, including the testing of intercontinental ballistic missiles that is capable of reaching the US mainland.

About USD 1 billion in customer funds have vanished from troubled cryptocurrency exchange FTX, Reuters reported citing top official sources.&nbsp;The exchange's founder Sam Bankman-Fried secretly transferred $10 billion of customer funds from FTX to Bankman-Fried's trading company Alameda Research, the people told Reuters.&nbsp;A big share of the $10 billion has since vanished, said sources with one saying the missing amount was about $1.7 billion and the other revealing it was somewhere between $1 billion and $2 billion.

Meanwhile, FTX has said on its Telegram channel that the crypto platform has been hacked and there is a discrepancy of USD 600 million in funds as they were 'transferred'.

The "transfers" occured on the same day that FTX formally filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after losing allegedly billions of dollars in user payments. The transfers have not been officially acknowledged by FTX leadership.

According to Coindesk, the incident happened on Wednesday. Although there isn't much information available about what happened, the company announced on its Telegram channel that it had been hacked and advised customers to avoid installing any new updates and delete any FTX apps in addition.

“FTX has been hacked. FTX apps are malware. Delete them. Chat is open. Don't go on FTX site as it might download Trojans,” said a forum administrator in the FTX Support channel.

FTX founder secretly moved $10bn of customer funds to his firm, over $1bn missing: Report

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) annual summit is currently taking place in Cambodia, and on Saturday, the region's political leaders will meet with a number of visiting world leaders, including US President Joe Biden and Ukraine's foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba.

According to Reuters, speaking at the 40th and 41st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summits Ukraine's foreign minister Kuleba urged Southeast Asian nations to take all necessary precautions to ensure that Russia did not play hunger games in regard to shipments of Ukrainian grain to the international market.

Speaking with reporters on the sidelines, Kuleba stressed that there was no sign that Moscow was looking to negotiate with Ukraine and that his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, who is also present at the summit, had not asked for a meeting.

China's climate envoy Xie Zhenhua on Wednesday said that China would be willing to support a mechanism for compensating poorer countries for losses and damage brought on by climate change.

The answer may come as a surprise. A state lawmaker who passed away from cancer last month, according to news sources citing preliminary results has been reelected, that too in a landslide win.

Twitter users may soon have to pay more than just $8 as Musk deliberates putting platform behind paywall

The US and Russia have decided to resume talks related to the New START nuclear arms reduction deal, which was put on hold since before Russia's invasion of Ukraine. 
 
New START, or Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, was signed between the United States and Russia. Its formal name is Measures for the Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms. It is the only surviving weapons control pact between the two biggest nuclear powers in the world.

The bilateral consultative committee (BCC), the mechanism for its implementation, will meet "in the near future," said Ned Price, spokesperson for the US State Department, on Tuesday.

The restarted negotiations may take place in the Middle East, according to the Russian newspaper Kommersant. As per the newspaper, Moscow no longer sees Switzerland, the usual location, as&nbsp;sufficiently neutral, due to the fact that&nbsp;it also placed sanctions on Russia over Ukraine.

As per Reuters in August, Russia stopped cooperating with inspections mandated by the pact.&nbsp;

"With 1.5 degrees C global warming, this is reduced to 30,000 deaths annually."

Beyond the threat of heat itself, the EEA warned that climate change could also increase Europe's susceptibility to infectious diseases like malaria and dengue fever.

Forbes estimates that Musk's current net worth is $194.8 billion, with a significant portion of that coming from his approximately 15 per cent ownership in Tesla, which has a market value of $622 billion.

Meanwhile, Musk has sold 9.5 million Tesla shares worth $4 billion, according to the US Securities and Exchange Commission filings.

The SEC documents revealed on Tuesday show Musk, who financed much of his Twitter purchase with Tesla stock, has sold more than 19 million shares worth in excess of $3.9 billion, reports AFP news agency.

Biden administration wants Ukraine to change its stand on peace negotiations with Russia: Reports

The British government said on Sunday that a public holiday will be observed to commemorate King Charles III's coronation in May, which will take place eight months after the passing of his mother Queen Elizabeth II.

The United Kingdom's counterterrorism police in a recent statement have said that last week's firebombing attack on a migrant processing centre was motivated by "terrorist ideology".

The police added that there was nothing to suggest that the attacker was working alongside someone else and that there is not "believed to be any wider threat to the public."

This facility handles migrants who have travelled by small boats over the English Channel from northern Europe. The attack on the Western Jet Foil Border Force centre left two of the staff with minor injuries. The attack was carried out by a 66-year-old man who was later found dead nearby. Earlier, the police had refuted the terrorism angle, saying, "What appears clear is that this despicable offence was targeted and likely to be driven by some form of hate filled grievance, though this may not necessarily meet the threshold of terrorism." The police added that there was nothing to suggest that the attacker was working alongside someone else and that there is not "believed to be any wider threat to the public." As recent months witness a deterioration in regional relations in central Africa, DRC Foreign Minister Christophe Lutundula met with his Rwandan counterpart Vincent Biruta met in Angola on Saturday in the latest attempt to defuse tensions between the neighbouring nations.

The meeting takes place in the midst of conflict in the eastern DRC between a rebel militia organisation called M23 and the Congolese army, with rebels recently taking large portions of fresh territory.

Tens of thousands of civilians have been forced to flee their homes as a result of the fighting between the rebels and the Congolese army in North Kivu.

DRC recently accused its smaller neighbour Rwanda of supporting the M23 militia that has uprooted tens of thousands of people.&nbsp;

The accusations have been consistently refuted by Kigali, which has led to a deterioration in its relations with its neighbour Kinshasa.&nbsp;At the end of the previous month, the DRC had even dismissed the ambassador of Rwanda and called back its own representative from Kigali.
