"The beatings included blunt force trauma to the head, shoulders, kidneys, neck, back and legs with metal bars and the butts of guns and boots, in some cases resulting in broken ribs, separated shoulders and lasting injuries," it alleges.

"While in an off-site location, several individuals reported being forced into cages and attacked by dogs, with some individuals, including a child exhibiting dog bite wounds on release."

Of the 1,002 detainees released since December, 29 were children as young as six years old. Others included 80 women and 21 UNRWA staff, some of whom had chronic conditions such as Alzheimer’s or cancer.

"The mission team found clear and convincing information that some hostages taken to Gaza have been subjected to various forms of conflict-related sexual violence and has reasonable grounds to believe that such violence may be ongoing," said the report.

The UN team added that a "full-fledged investigation" is needed to determine these crimes' full extent and specific attribution.

They also said that they have received reports of sexual violence against Palestinian men and women "in detention settings" — at centres located in Israel, "during house raids and at checkpoints" after Oct 7. However, the team said that when the allegations were raised with Israel's Ministry of Justice and Military Advocate General, they were told that the authorities had not received any complaints of sexual violence by members of the Israel Defense Forces.

"Now that the report of the sexual atrocities and abuse that our hostages are going through in Gaza is being released, the shame of the silence of the UN — which is not even holding one hearing on the issue — is crying out to the heavens," Erdan stated.

In response to the UN's perceived inaction, Foreign Minister Israel Katz announced that he would recall Erdan to Israel for discussions on how to proceed.&nbsp;

However, Guterres's spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, refuted claims that the secretary-general was trying to suppress the report.&nbsp;

The Indian embassy in Israel on Tuesday (Mar 5) issued an advisory to its nationals in Israeli border areas to move to safer parts after a Kerala-based man lost his life in a missile attack from Lebanon. Two other Indian men were reportedly injured.&nbsp;

In an advisory posted on various social media platforms, the embassy said, "In view of the prevailing security situation and local safety advisories, all Indian nationals in Israel, especially those working in or visiting border areas in the north and south, are advised to relocate to safe areas within Israel."&nbsp;

"The embassy remains in touch with the Israeli authorities to ensure the safety of all our nationals," the advisory added.&nbsp;

Local authorities revealed that an anti-tank missile hit a plantation in Margaliot, a Moshav at around 11:00 am (local time) on Monday in the Galilee region in the north of Israel.

Initial reports didn't reveal the identity but later it was confirmed that the missile killed 30-year-old Patnibin Maxwell from Kollam in Kerala.&nbsp;

Bush Joseph George (31) from Vazhathope; and Paul Melvin (28) from Vagamon in Kerala were injured and rushed taken to hospitals for treatment.&nbsp;

It is believed, that the attack was carried out by the Shi'ite Hezbollah faction in Lebanon. The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Monday that an aid mission to two hospitals in northern Gaza found horrifying scenes of children dying of starvation, amid shortages of food, fuel and medicines.&nbsp;

WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the agency's visits over the weekend to the Al-Awda and Kamal Adwan hospitals "were the first since early October 2023 despite our efforts to gain more regular access to the north of Gaza".&nbsp;

The findings were "grim", he said on X, adding that "the situation at Al-Awda was particularly appalling, as one of the buildings is destroyed".&nbsp;

The residence supposedly belonged to a man accused of carrying out an attack which led to the death of a British-Israeli mother and her two daughters in April in the occupied Palestinian territory.&nbsp;

The man, Moaz al-Masri who Israel accused was killed by IDF soldiers last May.&nbsp;

Israeli forces, which conducted overnight raids, arrested 55 Palestinians, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society.&nbsp;

In a statement, the Palestinian organisation also said that the arrest operation was concentrated in the Hebron governorate where nearly two dozen people were detained.&nbsp;

Since the Palestinian militant group Hamas’ terror attack on southern Israel on October 7 which triggered the ongoing war in Gaza, there has been a major surge in violence in the occupied West Bank as well.&nbsp;

The incident, as per Israel, began around 4:00 am (local time)&nbsp;when some 30 trucks carrying humanitarian aid arrived&nbsp;in the Rimal neighbourhood and thousands of Palestinians rushed to the trucks passing&nbsp;an IDF checkpoint.&nbsp;

Israeli forces also claim that some Palestinians were&nbsp;run over by the trucks and that some vehicles&nbsp;managed to continue further north where&nbsp;armed men allegedly&nbsp;opened fire at the convoy near Rimal and looted it.

The UN estimates that 2.2 million people in Gaza amid Israel’s relentless military campaign to eliminate Hamas are threatened with famine, particularly in the northern part of the Palestinian enclave where destruction, fighting and looting make the delivery of food nearly impossible.&nbsp;

A report by the Times of Israel citing a&nbsp;military source said after the incident some people from the crowd began moving towards Israeli soldiers stationed in the area to&nbsp;coordinate entry of aid trucks&nbsp;to northern Gaza. The source told the Israeli media that&nbsp;troops opened fire at the crowd after feeling “endangered”.&nbsp;

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani called for an “immediate ceasefire” in Gaza and called on Israel to protect Palestinian civilians.&nbsp;

“The tragic deaths in Gaza demand an immediate ceasefire to facilitate more humanitarian aid, the release of hostages and the protection of civilians. We strongly urge Israel to protect the people in Gaza and to rigorously ascertain facts and responsibilities,” said Tajani, in a post on X.

The ANGA also accused the Venice Biennale of a “double standard” as it had previously banned South Africa over its apartheid policy and even excluded Russia after it launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, but has not criticised Israel for its actions.&nbsp;

Israel has a national pavilion in the Venice Giardini or Giardini della Biennale which has hosted the art festival since the first edition in 1895. This year’s edition, “Foreigners Everywhere” is set to host pavilions from 90 countries. Israel will reportedly be represented by artist Ruth Patir.&nbsp;

"The WHO-led convoy was delayed by Israeli authorities for several hours as soon as it left the hospital, even though all staff personnel and vehicles had previously coordinated with the Israeli side," Laerke said to reporters in Geneva.

He claimed that "the Israeli military stripped all paramedics of their uniforms and ordered patients and personnel out of ambulances."

The convoy was forced to abandon another 31 patients at Amal hospital, which is no longer operational following 40 attacks in the past month alone that have killed at least 25 people.

According to Laerke, "Three PRCS paramedics were subsequently held, despite having previously given their personal information to the Israeli soldiers." There is just one that has been made available. 
 
"This is not an isolated incident," he stressed.

As per reports, the man who was wearing fatigues is an active member of the US Air Force.

An Air Force spokesperson told the Washington Post they had not identified the man.&nbsp;

On X, the DC Police Department reported that the "MPD (Metropolitan Police Department) responded to the 3500 block of International Drive, NW, at approximately 1:00 pm&nbsp;to assist the United States Secret Service after an individual set themselves on fire in front of an embassy in the block."

As per subsequent statements, the USSS and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) were called in to investigate the incident.
