<p>The right-handed batsman, who is an active Twitter user, quickly responded, asking the club why they didn&rsquo;t inform him about this update.</p>

<p>Hours after Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administration (CoA) cleared Mohammed Shami name and gave him a clean chit in the match-fixing allegations, reports emerged that the pacer confessed to having an extra-marital affair, media reports said.</p>

<p>As per media reports, &nbsp;it is learnt that Shami apparently admitted of his philandering ways during the interrogation before Neeraj Kumar, who headed BCCI ACU investigation of the Indian pacer.</p>

<p>The 27-year-old cricketer admitted in front of the investigators that he did have physical relations with the Pakistani woman Alishba and went to Dubai after South Africa tour to spend some time with her.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It is reported that Shami lied about the alleged financial transaction, allegedly done by London-based businessman Mohammed bhai via Alishba in Dubai.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Shami reportedly did those transactions in order to spend time with the woman friends in Dubai, during Indian cricket team&#39;s return from South Africa. ACU checked all his bank accounts details and found no suspicious entry, reports added.</p>

<p>&nbsp;It was also found out that Shami was only cooking up stories of &#39;financial gains&#39; from a businessman to somehow go and spend time with his female friends outside his marriage.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After BCCI absolved him of all the charges in the corruption case, Shami told media persons that he was hurt but relieved as he could never cheat on his country.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&quot;I was under tremendous pressure but now I feel relieved after BCCI cleared me of wrong-doing. I was hurt that my loyalty and commitment towards my nation was questioned. IPL 2018: Here's a look back at the league's previous themes

<p>With just over two weeks left for the XIth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to start, the opener will be played between defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) and two-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK).&nbsp;</p>

<p>CSK, which is making a comeback after facing suspension for two years-2016, 2017, will once again be playing under his most-popular player and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MSD).</p>

<p>The IPL matches will be played at nine venues, across 51 days from April 7 to May 27, 2018.&nbsp;</p>

2018 IPL anthem: 'Ye khel hai sher jawano ka albelo ka mastano ka...'

<p>Indian cricket team&#39;s ace off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin Monday was named the skipper of IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab, for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament.&nbsp;</p>

Opinion: KKR fails to fill Gautam Gambhir's shoes at IPL auction

<p>The Indian Premier League (IPL) players&#39; auction is back. The famous auctioneer Richard Madley again called the names of the cricketers and the eight franchises went into a furious bidding war in Bengaluru.</p>

<p>As many as 578 cricketers went under the hammer, which includes 360 Indian cricketers (62 capped and 298 uncapped) and 218 foreigners (182 capped, 34 uncapped and two from associate nations).</p>
