Thirty-nine crew members on board are missing and an emergency search and rescue operation is underway. The Chinese government has made saving the crew a high priority. President Xi Jinping made special instructions to deploy additional rescue forces, coordinate with international marine search and rescue assistance and make all-out rescue efforts."</p>

<p>"Premier Li Qiang made the instruction demanding fast coordination with relevant forces to make all-out rescue efforts. The operation has drawn close attention from across the region. Countries such as Australia, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, the Maldives and the Philippines have extended emergency assistance and sent sympathies for the Chinese boat and crew. The operation has been commended from various quarters in China and abroad. The Chinese government sincerely appreciates the help from those countries. <p>The study said that in India and Bangladesh, such "humid heat event(s) could be expected every 1-2 years".</p>

<h2><strong>India's heatwave planning 'most advanced': Study</strong></h2>

<p>The study also highlighted a range of solutions to heat-related harms from the individual to the regional levels respectively.</p>

<p>They are currently implemented as patchwork, to various degrees, across the countries studied, with India having the most advanced heatwave planning, it said.</p>

<p>It, however, added that these solutions are often out of reach for the most vulnerable people, and highlighted the need to improve vulnerability assessments and design interventions that account for group-specific needs.</p>

<p>"As it often happens, marginalised people are the worst affected. Many of them are still recovering from the pandemic, and from past heat waves and cyclones, which leaves them trapped in a vicious cycle. It is fundamental to implement mitigation and adaptation strategies to avoid visible and invisible loss and damage," said Emmanuel Raju, Director of Copenhagen Centre for Disaster Research at the University of Copenhagen.&nbsp;</p>

Whether this as part of integral part of Tamil culture requires greater detail, which exercise judiciary cannot undertake...When legislature has declared that jallikettu is part of cultural heritage of TN state, judiciary cannot take a different view. Legislature is best suited to decide that."</p>

<p>Reportedly, a day before, it was revealed that Aditya Jain, an associate director with the company's cyber unit was running a hacking group named WhiteInt that acted as a 'hack-for-hire' company. As per reports, he was earlier working with one of the Big Four companies.</p>

<p>According to reports, Jain's hacking firm had information regarding several famous personalities from across the globe. Former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf, former Pakistan minister Fawad Chaudhry, former UK chancellor Philip Hammond and Swiss President Ignazio Cassis were among the few whose confidential information was accessed by the gang.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He was running the operations from a fourth-floor apartment in the Northern Indian city of Gurugram, known for housing big tech companies.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A 56-year-old man was arrested&nbsp;upon arrival at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on Tuesday (May 16) afternoon.&nbsp;He was arrested because he was smoking a <em>beedi</em>,&nbsp;a locally made cigarette&nbsp;in which tobacco is rolled into dried plant leaves,&nbsp;aboard an Akasa Air aircraft from Ahmedabad to Bengaluru.</p>

<p>The man,&nbsp;a native of Marwar junction in Rajasthan's Pali district, has been sent to the Bengaluru Central Jail. This is KIA's first arrest for smoking a <em>beedi</em>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier this year, KIA police arrested two passengers for smoking cigarettes aboard a plane. Kumar, who works in construction, told police that he is self-employed and that this was his first time flying.</p>

<p>A senior police official emphasised that failing to identify smoke during security frisking is a major lapse, reported Times Now.</p>

<p>"Cigarettes are easily detectable. The only explanation for such an incident is a failure in the frisking process," the officer stated &nbsp;as quoted by Times now.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the prior two incidents, the accused were well aware of the rigorous no-smoking ban on aeroplanes yet were nevertheless found smoking. According to an investigating officer, Kumar, as a first-time traveller, claimed to be uninformed of the no-smoking regulation.</p>

<p>"Kumar is a laborer from Marwar. He was accompanying an elderly person who was traveling to the city for a post-death ceremony of a relative," the officer explained.</p>

<p>"Since I regularly travel by train and smoke inside the toilet, I thought I could do the same on the flight and decided to smoke a beedi," Kumar confessed to the police.</p>

<p>The man was onboard an Akasa aeroplane (flight&nbsp;Q) bound for Bengaluru when the crew spotted him smoking inside the bathroom. The airline's duty manager, lodged a complaint against him&nbsp;with KIA police shortly after arriving at approximately 1:10 p.m.</p>

<p>According to a senior police officer, once detained, the accused must spend at least one week in court custody. "Smoking in midair poses a risk to everyone," the officer emphasised.</p>

<h2><strong>Unruly passengers on board</strong></h2>

<p>Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is forbidden on flights in India, according to The Aircraft Rules of 1937. However, a number of violations have been recorded around the country in recent days.</p>

<p>Indigo and Air India both reported passengers who were found smoking in restrooms in early March. A 24-year-old female passenger on a Bengaluru-bound IndiGo flight was detained for smoking in the restroom. The cabin crew noticed the cigarette in the garbage and doused it with water. A passenger smoking inside the lavatory of a Delhi-bound flight had been discovered by Air India personnel the day before. The cabin crew had detected smoke coming from the lavatory even before the fire alarm went off, reported Live Mint.</p>
