The revival of the nuclear deal would be pointless unless the UN nuclear watchdog put an end to its probe of undeclared sites in the country, according to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

Previously, the United States asked Iran for its suggestions on a "final" text put forward by the EU to salvage the landmark deal.

Highlighting that Tehran should cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to clear up suspicions about earlier work at three undeclared sites, Washington said it will not negotiate with Iran.

During a news conference in Tehran, Raisi told reporters that "In the negotiations, safeguard issues are one of the fundamental ones. All of the safeguard issues must be resolved."

Referring to the traces of nuclear materials as a "safeguards" issue, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said it wants to clear up suspicions about earlier work at three undeclared sites.

After Iran's failure to adequately explain the previous discovery of traces of enriched uranium at three sites, the IAEA's board of governors adopted a resolution censuring Tehran.

Rejecting the idea of the agency closing its probe without receiving answers, IAEA chief Rafael Grossi told CNN that "This idea that politically we are going to stop doing our job is unacceptable for us."

President Joe Biden has sought to return the US to the deal unilaterally since taking office in 2021.

The European Union has carried out indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington so far.

Urging the US to stop the nuclear negotiations with Tehran, Israel's Defence Minister Benny Gantz met national security advisor Jake Sullivan.

In 2018, former US President Donald Trump abandoned the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and imposed sanctions on Iran.

There is also probable cause to believe that evidence of obstruction will be found,” the affidavit said.

According to The Washington Post, the affidavit also said that 184 documents found in the boxes had “classification markings”. Among the documents mentioned in the affidavit, 67 of them were marked “CONFIDENTIAL,” 92 marked “SECRET,” and remaining 25 were marked as “TOP SECRET”.

“Top Secret” refers to the highest level of secrecy when it comes to government documents and it mostly refers to content which is crucial to national security or a similar important topic.

The affidavit claimed that “the documents could have involved sensitive matters such as confidential human sources, information that may not be released in any form to foreign governments and intelligence information derived from the monitoring of foreign communications signals”.

Reportedly, Inna first entered Trump's property in 2021 using forged IDs, including US passports, and multiple driver's licences and managed to work her way up the socialite ladder of Florida. FBI stated that Inna managed to get a photograph with the former President, a day after she infiltrated his resort.

However, the FBI refused to elaborate further regarding the extent of its probe and if Inna was being questioned in connection with the papers.

“To maintain the operational integrity of our work, we are unable to comment specifically concerning the means, methods or resources used to conduct our protective operations,” Steven Kopek, an FBI special agent and spokesman, was quoted as saying.

"The government is conducting a criminal investigation concerning the improper removal and storage of classified information in unauthorized spaces, as well as the unlawful concealment or removal of government records," the 38-page affidavit began.

The FBI action was part of a federal probe into whether Trump illegally removed documents when he left office in January 2021, and whether he tried to obstruct the government's investigation.

The warrant for the raid cited three criminal statutes, including one falling under the Espionage Act, which makes it a crime to illegally obtain or retain national security information, and another on obstruction of a federal investigation.

Meanwhile, Trump has denounced the FBI raid at his Mar-a-Lago home.

The letter makes it clear that in order to review the documents Trump's representatives request from the Archives, they must possess the required level of security clearance.

When the documents were first made public, the justice department was concerned that the former president might have kept secrets that ought to have been turned over to the government after he left the White House.

Additionally, it prepared the way for the FBI to search Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort earlier this month, during which time they discovered even more sensitive documents.

According to the report, government record keepers have been worried about the whereabouts of several documents from the Trump administration since he left the White House, including a letter from North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and a note from Barack Obama to his successor.

Multiple news organisations asked Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhardt last week to unseal all materials relating to the warrant, which authorised FBI agents to search Mr Trump's home and office at his Mar-a-Lago resort for "any physical documents with classification markings," "information, including communications in any form, regarding the retrieval, storage, or transmission of national [defence] information or classified material," and "any government records created duplicatively."

Although the Justice Department had previously asked the judge to unseal the warrant itself, citing Mr Trump's public comments revealing the search of his property, prosecutors with the department's national security division said in a Monday court filing that they would not support making public the underlying affidavit on which Mr Reinhardt based his decision to allow the search, citing "a very different set of considerations" than whether to unseal the warrant itself.

Prosecutors acknowledged the public interest in getting the sealed affidavit, but stated that the government has a "compelling, overwhelming interest in safeguarding the integrity of an ongoing criminal investigation."

They went on to say that releasing the affidavit would "cause significant and irreparable harm to this ongoing criminal investigation" by revealing "critically important and detailed investigative facts" like "highly sensitive information about witnesses, including witnesses interviewed by the government" and "specific investigative techniques."

Prosecutors also claimed that releasing the search warrant would reveal information that the government is compelled by law to keep secret because it involves grand jury testimony.

Morning news brief: Russia ready to offer weapons to allies, Trump claims FBI agents stole his passport & more

The back and forth between Donald Trump, the FBI and the Department of Justice (DoJ) appears to be getting intense by the day. Reportedly, the DoJ on Monday stated that it opposed the unsealing of the affidavit which was used to secure the federal&nbsp;judge's permission to obtain a search warrant against the former President.&nbsp;

"If disclosed, the affidavit would serve as a roadmap to the government's ongoing investigation, providing specific details about its direction and likely course, in a manner that is highly likely to compromise future investigative steps," the DoJ lawyers wrote in the filing.

The decision to not unseal the affidavit comes in stark contrast with the confidence shown by Attorney General&nbsp;Merrick Garland who publically announced that he had approved of the search warrant and that his department was willing to go public with it as well.&nbsp;

Even when questioned during his brief presser last week, Garland did not give much regarding the 'evidence' used to obtain the warrant.&nbsp;

“Much of our work is by necessity conducted out of the public eye. We do that to protect the constitutional rights of all Americans and to protect the integrity of our investigations." said&nbsp;Garland.&nbsp;

Republicans want DoJ to release the affidavit

Ever since the August 8 raid took place at Trump's Mar-a-Lago club cum residence, his allies have been drumming up the issue, asking the Justice Department to reveal the affidavit which will show the evidence that prosecutors used as 'probable cause'&nbsp;to obtain the warrant.

According to the warrant released, the FBI is circling Trump, mainly around the Espionage Act after the former President took several boxes from his White House residence to his current Florida residence after losing the elections.&nbsp;

The image was photoshopped onto the image holding Oreos and a bottle of whiskey. It was credited to the Twitter account @whatimemetosay, which describes itself as a “digital art creator”.

The image was aired on Thursday’s Tucker Carlson Tonight, where the stand-in host, Brian Kilmeade, teased the fake image in the live 9 pm show.

“So, a picture of Bruce Reinhart, this is the judge in charge of the, of the ah... of the ah, as you know of the warrant. And we’ll see if he’s going to release it next. He likes Oreos and whiskey,” Kilmeade said while speaking to another Fox News host Sean Hannity, adding, “Sean, can you relate to that?”

To which Hannity replied, “I think that’s actually a picture of Jeffrey Epstein with somebody putting his head on there … I’m guessing, I don’t know.”

“Who knows?” Kilmeade then concluded.

Washington Post citing unidentified individuals close to the investigation reported that sensitive documents linked to nuclear weapons were among the files seized during the raid.&nbsp;Trump attempted to dismiss the claim. He said&nbsp;that the "nuclear weapons issue is a hoax" and even insinuated&nbsp;that the FBI was "planting information".

According to the Wall Street Journal, among the 20 boxes of items hauled away by FBI investigators were photo binders, a handwritten message, and Trump's grant of amnesty to Roger Stone, a former president's ally.

Trump declared in a statement on Thursday that his attorneys were "cooperating fully" and "the government could have had whatever they wanted, if we had it."

On Friday, the Justice Department sought a federal judge to unseal the search warrant, overruling Trump's objections.&nbsp;

Trump, who is mulling a presidential run in 2024, said he would not obstruct the release of the warrant while lamenting the "unprecedented political weaponization of law enforcement" by "radical left Democrats and possible future political opponents, who have a strong and powerful vested interest in attacking me, much as they have done for the last 6 years."
