Ranveer will be replacing Shah Rukh Khan as the new Don. SRK had played the titular role in Don and Don 2- both helmed by Farhan Akhtar. The new teaser introduces Ranveer to the franchise and its loyal fans. Sharing the teaser, Farhan wrote, “A New Era Begins #Don3.” He also tagged the writer-director duo Pushkar Gayatri in his tweet but the film will be directed by Farhan himself. The symbolic '3' indicates a new addition to a much-loved franchise, though the exact details have not been made public just yet. Speculations are rife that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment is likely to announce their new film <em>Don 3.&nbsp;</em></p>

Ranveer has reportedly already shot the announcement video which will be released soon. It is also said that the makers have informed SRK about Ranveer's inclusion in the project. He is willing to do commercial films that cater to a universal section of the audience, and Don certainly doesn’t fit the bracket of cinema that he is willing to do for the coming few years. 'Don 3' trends on Twitter after Amitabh Bachchan shares pic with Shah Rukh Khan in a cryptic post

<p>Is Shah Rukh Khan to be soon seen as ‘Don’ in its third instalment? So far, no such official announcement has been made. But a recent picture of Farhan Akhtar is doing the rounds on social media, which has left netizens speculating if he is working on the script of ‘Don 3.’</p>

<p>Farhan’s partner in Excel Entertainment, filmmaker Ritesh Sidhwani, on Saturday posted a photo on Instagram where Farhan could be seen with his laptop in writer mode. Ritesh captioned the post by mentioning that Farhan has started working on his next script.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He wrote, "100% focus even when he’s putting pen to paper (err.. fingers to keyboard) @faroutakhtar is back in writer mode after a long hiatus. Guess what he’s working on…" he captioned the post. In the picture, busy Farhan can be seen with a pen and paper in the study room.&nbsp;</p>
