"There's more to it than just attacking cricket. I have seen at times they know when to pull back, when to attack.

"They have been playing differently, there's no doubt about it. I'm not sure how happy they are about the term, but they are playing really good cricket, let's be honest about it," Dravid added.

England is gearing up for a seven-week-long away Tests in India starting January 25 in Hyderabad, and former batter Mark Butcher admits to being a bit terrified with how the visitors are preparing for the marquee series.&nbsp;

The Bazball-bound England Team is in the UAE preparing for the Test series and will land in India just three days before the start of the first match.&nbsp;

Considering not many players from the squad have played enough red-ball games in the lead-up to this blockbuster series, with several coming in on the back of just white-ball cricket, Butcher feels the chances of England falling flat on their face because of lack of required practice are higher.&nbsp;

India hasn't lost a Test series at home in over a decade, having last gone down against England in 2012.&nbsp;

"Frankly, I'd be a little bit terrified if I was playing. Most of the guys haven't played any long-form cricket since July. Very few of the squad were involved a great deal in the rundown of the County Championship, which finished at the back end of September. We're now three months down the road with nobody having had any sort of middle practice at all," Butcher said on Wisden Cricket Weekly Podcast.

Though for the England Team to repeat the same heroics looks like an uphill task. Going ahead with an underprepared plan will further haunt its legacy and the reputation they gained as a Test unit since the change of captain and coach in late 2022.

Zak Crawley, England’s leading run-scorer in the recently-concluded Ashes 2023, is ready to bring the Bazball to India for five-match Test series scheduled for the January-February window next year. The right-handed batter, who amassed 480 runs, striking at over 88 and averaging 53.33, feels despite the spin threat, England can stand tall with their approach though they need to adapt to conditions first.

As England’s next Test is scheduled to get underway after around six months, Crawley, who toured India in 2021 – hitting 67 in two Tests – thinks with newer venues added to the itinerary this time, England is ready to weather any challenge – be it spin, seam and even swing (if any).

"I don't really know much about their grounds," Crawley said after the Oval Test win.

Having plied his trade in almost every league, Morgan knows about the pros and cons of this latest format but remains firm in his opinion that the rise of franchise-based T20 leagues will only benefit this game.

While questions surrounding the slow death of Test cricket in the wake of the expansion of T20 leagues keep even the top bosses searching for answers, Morgan sees a positive side of it, saying what this format has done in helping cricket reach the masses outside of regular playing nations neither of the ODIs and Tests was able to do so.

"Cricket has never been more popular around the world. Cricket is spreading far and wide. T20 cricket has allowed cricket to grow at a pace that no other format has been able to achieve it. So, we need to sit back and thank T20 cricket and recognise it for taking it everywhere," Morgan said.

"The 50-over format is under pressure the most. The Future Tours Programme (FTP) is looking like there will be more T20 cricket played than bilateral; the game needs to change with that, and that's how it's going to go. You can't fight the exceptional growth and pace at which the game is becoming so popular. I think ODI Cricket is going to become, at some stage, most likely confined to just World Cups," Morgan added.

While he said having Zimbabwe in for the 2023 World Cup would have been great for them and cricket, for what they bring to the game, he was disappointed for the West Indies on not making the cut.

"Zimbabwe was devastated not to qualify for the World Cup, they were disappointed. On the flip side, watching West Indies cricket not qualify, given their reputation they had over the course of generations of producing legends of the game, is sad in many ways because the level of expectations has been there for a long time and the level of performance hasn't met that," Morgan added.

Resuming the third session on Day 5 after tea break, Australia were 183/5. Usman Khawaja was batting solidly at 56* and Cameron Green 22*.

England made a comeback after Robinson cleaned up Cameron Green (28). Robinson hit the stumps as Green bat got an inside edge. Australia suffered another blow as England captain Ben Stokes dismissed Khawaja at 65. Australia were 209/7 with two new batters at the crease - Alex Carey and Pat Cummins. Both the batters were playing carefully as one wicket could have turned the tables and England could get their grip on the match.

England's hopes revived in the 81th over when Alex Carey went to the pavillion. Australia were 227/8 needing 54 runs to win with just two wickets in hand.

Cummins and Lyon's resilient half-century partnership took&nbsp;Australia through an intense phase of the game.

Broad (3/64), Robinson (2/43) were top bowlers for England. Moeen, Stokes and Root got one scalp each.

Earlier, coming to bat on Day 5, Australia needed 174 runs to win the first Ashes Test. After the first session was washed, Scott Boland 13 (19)* and Usman Khawaja 34 (81)* started the proceedings for the Aussies who were 107/3.

Stuart Broad struck early and took the wicket of Scott Boland. Boland was sent in as nightwatchman yesterday to save the wicket for Australia.

Scott Boland scored 20 runs. He went on to play a ball on the on-side, which led to an outside edge and the ball carried to the safe gloves of Jonny Bairstow. Australia were in a spot of bother at 121/4.

Travis Head was next on the crease and he carried on with his attacking gameplay, striking three fours.

Moeen Ali took the wicket of Travis Head who was trying to drive away the ball and was caught in the slip by Joe Root. Travis scored 16 runs while hitting three boundaries and half of the Australian team was back in the pavilion at 143.

Usman Khawaja continued to steady the innings and completed his half-century in 143 balls. The duo of Green and Khawaja took Australia through the remainder of the session.

"We shouldn't panic anyway," Lyon said. "We panicked in India and we saw what happened. If we can learn from that experience and play our way and our brand it will be okay," the off-spinner added.

Lyon added Australia only needs to worry about them, what they are doing, and how they are doing instead of scratching their heads over England’s style of play, which has taken the world by storm.

"It's ridiculously different," Duckett said of his Test experience in the Test set-up. "The way that they make everyone feel is something that I never thought would be the case in Test cricket. It's almost like you're playing a friendly, you're actually going out and playing a Test match and it's that relaxed, and that's how you're going to get players to perform at their best,” the left-hander added as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.

"The first thing Baz (McCullum) said to me in Pakistan was: 'Just enjoy it, you're going to get a good run'. To hear that as an opening batsman before your first Test back makes you not nervous and you can go out there and play your way rather than looking for a score.

Realising that Bazball had once become the talk of the town and that with too many people comes too many suggestions, Duckett said the outside noise doesn’t impact what is happening inside the dressing room.

"And I think the big thing in that dressing-room is - whatever the noise is outside that dressing room, no one cares. It's everything in that dressing room and almost you've got that backing, it feels like there's a squad of players now that seems like they're going to keep for a little while, especially while things are going well. Previously, you're fearing for every single game, if you get no runs, you might get dropped the next game," Duckett said.

Currently involved in the away three-match T20Is against Bangladesh – against whom he made his Test debut, Duckett said he’s a mature cricketer now, and probably won’t repeat the same mistake he did back then.

"I've matured as a cricketer. It's realising what works for me, understanding what my strengths are. Seven years ago, I might have tried to hit Shakib [Al Hasan] for six over long-on, now I know all I have to do is hit the ball in front of square leg and it's four runs. The small taste I had back then, I was very young and probably wasn't ready. I think that comes with age and most batters are at their best when they get to the age of 28, 29," he talked about learning from his past experiences.

England broke several records on day one of the first Test in Pakistan in 17 years. They became the first team to score more than 500 runs on day 1 of a Test, while with four of their batsmen hitting tons on the same day, also entered record books. Including a few more, they made Pakistan bowlers toil hard for wickets.
