<p>The movement finally led to the fall of Indira Gandhi government and installation of the first non-Congress dispensation at the centre under Morarji Desai.</p>

Amitabh Bachchan pens emotional note for 'beautiful friend' Shashi Kapoor

<p>All roads led to Antilla in Mumbai on Sunday as Mukesh Ambani threw a grand party to welcome London Mayor Sadiq Khan. Some of Bollywood&rsquo;s biggest names came&nbsp;together to give Khan a warm welcome to India.&nbsp;</p>

<p>So who all were in attendance, you ask? From Amitabh Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan to Alia Bhatt to Karan Johar, Katrina Kaif, Farah Khan- all came to meet the mayor.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The mayor, on his part, happily shared photos from the party on his Instagram page and expressed his happiness at meeting Bollywood stars and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar who came with his wife Anjali.&nbsp;</p>

All roads led to Antilla in Mumbai on Sunday as Mukesh Ambani threw a grand party to welcome London Mayor Sadiq Khan. IFFI 2017: When Amitabh Bachchan was left embarrassed by Akshay Kumar

<p>Indian superstar Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday paid homage to the victims of the terrorist attack of&nbsp;26/11 and also spoke about&nbsp;terrorism at a memorial event.</p>

<p>Amitabh Bachchan expressed his grief and said, &quot;Nine years ago, on this day these attacks were, to me, a wake-up call. But the question I asked myself was, Wake-up, yes, but wake-up to what? I woke up to a new era of violence, a new kind of violence, a violence that was inflicted by terrorism.&quot;</p>

<p>&quot;Terrorism is not an ideology, it is an act of scaring peaceful people, an act of evoking the fear of sudden, untimely death It is an act of negotiating at the point of a gun,&quot; the actor said.</p>

<p>&quot;Terror does not decide anything. Terror only hopes to establish the bluff that evil can be stronger than natural humanity,&nbsp;that hate is mightier than love.&nbsp;It is now for each one of us to decide if we want our children to accept this evil doctrine. Or, show our children that terror does not have a place in our hearts,&quot; he added.</p>

<p>On November 26, 2008, 10 terrorists of the Lashkar-e-Taiba carried out a series of coordinated shooting&nbsp;and bombing attacks across Mumbai.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The attacks lasted for four days and received condemnation from across the world.</p>

<p>166 people were killed and at least 300 people were wounded in the attack.</p>

The presence of the departed&nbsp;ones will always be in our lives the way my papa is in the form&nbsp;of this poem. If you derive new meanings from a poem or song then it means that the song or poem has touched your heart and soul.</p>

<p>When I read this beautiful piece written by Harivansh Rai Bachchan, then it feels my mum is giving me a lesson of life.</p>

<p>Harivansh Rai Bachchan has touched our lives with many of his literary works. Few we read in school to pass in the examination and few become the lesson of life.</p>

<p>Amitabh Bachchan&#39;s granddaughter Aaradhya turned 6 last week and Bachchan family threw a grand party for the little one and her friends over the weekend. The party saw many of the celebrities in attendance with their children.&nbsp;<br />
Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan&#39;s daughter Aaradhya&#39;s birthday bash had a fairytale set up complete with Ferris wheel, cotton candies and Disney princesses as part of the decor.<br />

Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter Aaradhya turned 6 last week and Bachchan family threw a grand party for the little one and her friends over the weekend. The party saw many of the celebrities in attendance with their children. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan's daughter Aaradhya's birthday bash had a fairytale set up complete with Ferris wheel, cotton candies and Disney princesses as part of the decor. Proud grandfather, Big B has been sharing photos of the party on Twitter and what caught our attention was these adorable snaps of Shah Rukh Khan and his son AbRam at the party. <p>Curtains were raised on the 23rd Kolkata International Film Festival today with the screening of Iranian film &#39;Yellow&#39;.</p>

<p>Altogether 143 films from India and abroad will be screened in the 8-day festival which was inaugurated at the packed Netaji Indoor Stadium.<br />

Megastars Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Kamal Haasan, besides British filmmaker Michael Winterbottom and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee were present at the inaugural function.<br />

The KIFF has become the landmark for showcasing best cinema across the world and he is happy to be back in a city which always holds special memories, Bachchan said.<br />

<p>The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued a notice to Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan&nbsp;for illegal construction in 2016, a&nbsp;Right to Information (RTI) activist said on Wednesday.</p>

<p>Anil Galgali, the RTI activist, had asked the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) about the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices (MRTP) notice that was issued against Mr Bachchan and seven others for construction in their Goregaon bungalow.</p>

<p>&quot;In 2016, Municipal Corporation along with Amitabh Bachchan has issued Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices (MRTP) notice to seven other people. They have made illegal construction in their Goregaon bungalow. They have made changes in their main maps for making illegal construction,&quot; Mr Galgali told ANI.</p>

<p>Besides Mr Bachchan, the notice was issued to filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, Oberoi Realty, Pankaj Balaji, Sanjay Vyas, Haresh Khandelwal and Haresh Jagtani on December 7, 2016, for&nbsp;changes in their approved plans, as per the information received by the RTI activist.</p>

<p>After the MRTP notices, architect Shashank Kokil submitted the proposal on January 5&nbsp;which was rejected by the MCGM&#39;s Building Proposal department on March 17.</p>

<p>On May 6, the MCGM&#39;s P South Ward office issued&nbsp;final orders to remove the violation and continue with the sanctioned plans.</p>

<p>Mr Kokil resubmitted the plans after the ward issued another notice stating that because of the lack of clarity of the regularisation proposal, it was difficult to continue with further actions.</p>

<p>The RTI activist also wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Municipal Commissioner Ajoy Mehta, asking for immediate action and the demolition of the illegal extension.</p>

<p>The Income tax department has launched 33 prosecutions linked to the names revealed in the Panama Papers and is probing others.The Panama Papers are 11.5 million leaked documents that detail financial and attorney-client information for more than 214,488 offshore entities. The documents, some of which dated back to the 1970s, belonged to the Panamanian law firm and corporate service provider Mossack Fonseca, were leaked in 2015 by an anonymous source.</p>

<p>After Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the Pakistan&#39;s Supreme Court from his post in the Panama Papers case, the tax authorities in India had sped up their investigations in the Panama Papers case in which names of several Indian film stars, including Amitabh Bachchan; politicians and businessmen figured. Records of Panamanian law firm showed that Amitabh Bachchan served as director of four offshore shipping companies between 1993 and 1997. After his name figured in the Panama Papers, Amitabh Bachchan, however, had denied any wrongdoing and said that his remittances overseas were in line with Indian regulations. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to replace Amitabh Bachchan in Kaun Banega Crorepati?

<p>Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan spent the larger part of Wednesday shooting a film for his son-in-law in a factory in India&#39;s capital New Delhi.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Big B, who lives in Mumbai, wrote in a&nbsp;Facebook post that he left for Delhi early morning in order to shoot for a film in the factory of his son-in-law Nikhil Nanda.</p>

<p>The Bollywood actor said the best part of his visit was the time he spent with his grandchildren Agastya and Navya Naveli, children of his daughter Shweta and Nikhil.</p>

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan spent the larger part of Wednesday shooting a film for his son-in-law in a factory in India's capital New Delhi. Big B, who lives in Mumbai, wrote in a Facebook post that he left for Delhi early morning in order to shoot for a film in the factory of his son-in-law Nikhil Nanda. The Bollywood actor said the best part of his visit was the time he spent with his grandchildren Agastya and Navya Naveli, children of his daughter Shweta and Nikhil.
