<p>Joining the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan who have donated money to the families of 40 CRPF troopers that were slain in a deadly attack in Pulwama, Jammu &amp; Kashmir; Diljit Dosanjh has now given Rs 3 lacs to the same cause.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He donated the money to the wives of the CRPF troopers who died in the terror attack. Diljit shared a snapshot of his donation receipt to the CRPF Wives Welfare Association on Sunday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He captioned the post, "Our soldiers protect the country and the citizens of the country. They have to live away from their loved ones, not knowing what the next day will bring. The families don't know when will they see them next. But there was always a hope which is now gone for these families."</p>

<p>From the looks of it, the film appears to be a murder mystery where Big B plays a lawyer while Pannu plays a woman accused of murdering her lover.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, the film is scheduled to release in theatres on 8th March.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Remembering one such first, Amitabh Bachchan revealed the first concert attended by late Sridevi, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan.</p>

<p>Taking his fans on a nostalgia trip, Big B shared a throwback picture on his Instagram account and revealed that he took Sridevi, Salman, and Aamir to their first ever concert. &nbsp;</p>

<p>“MY concert at Wembley Stadium .. first ever by Indian .. I took Sridevi, Aamir, &nbsp;and SALMAN for their first concert .. 70,000 people .. historic !! This is the Wembley Stadium before it was rebuilt and altered .. you see the altered now often on Premier League Football,” he captioned the post.</p>

<p>For an actor who has delivered back-to-back blockbuster hits for the past many years, Aamir Khan is quite humble when it comes to failures. His last release, 'Thugs Of Hindostan' was pitched as the big release of 2018 and featured Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif along with him. But the film failed to work at the box office.&nbsp;</p>

Aamir said he doesn't need to "forgive" director Vijay Krishna Acharya as they all set out to make a good film.&nbsp;<br />

"Every director that I work with, they are good and their intentions are good. We all aim to make a good film but sometimes it doesn't happen. Filmmaking is difficult. I'm a team player. If my director has gone wrong, I've gone wrong with him," Aamir said in a group interview.&nbsp;<br />

"I don't mind failing with my director on his or her instincts. I don't have a problem. I believe in the director and if he has gone wrong, I have too. We will learn from our mistakes," he added.&nbsp;<br />

The actor said he took the responsibility for the failure as the audience came in to watch the film for him.&nbsp;<br />

"Audience came to watch the film on my name. So it was my responsibility. To that audience I feel personally and fully responsible."<br />

While the film was bashed from all quarters, there was a section which felt the criticism was unfair. Aamir said he's aware there are people who liked the film but wouldn't want to be judgemental towards those who didn't.&nbsp;<br />

"I've met a lot of people who told me they liked the film. But I don't judge these things. I think the audience has full right to say exactly what they want and they can be harsh in their criticism, that's their right. If there was a certain amount of harshness, so be it," he said.&nbsp;<br />

"Also, I didn't give a flop film since a long time! So people got an opportunity to take out their anger, which is good too. It's been years since I have had a failure," he quipped.&nbsp;<br />

The actor was in conversation with the media to promote his upcoming production, ' Rubaru Roshni'. Directed by Svati Chakravarty Bhatkal, the film chronicles three real life story of grief and forgiveness.&nbsp;</p>

Aamir said he doesn't need to "forgive" director Vijay Krishna Acharya as they all set out to make a good film. "Every director that I work with, they are good and their intentions are good. We all aim to make a good film but sometimes it doesn't happen. Filmmaking is difficult. I'm a team player. If my director has gone wrong, I've gone wrong with him," Aamir said in a group interview. "I don't mind failing with my director on his or her instincts. I don't have a problem. I believe in the director and if he has gone wrong, I have too. We will learn from our mistakes," he added. The actor said he took the responsibility for the failure as the audience came in to watch the film for him. "Audience came to watch the film on my name. So it was my responsibility. To that audience I feel personally and fully responsible." While the film was bashed from all quarters, there was a section which felt the criticism was unfair. Aamir said he's aware there are people who liked the film but wouldn't want to be judgemental towards those who didn't. "I've met a lot of people who told me they liked the film. But I don't judge these things. I think the audience has full right to say exactly what they want and they can be harsh in their criticism, that's their right. If there was a certain amount of harshness, so be it," he said. "Also, I didn't give a flop film since a long time! So people got an opportunity to take out their anger, which is good too. It's been years since I have had a failure," he quipped. The actor was in conversation with the media to promote his upcoming production, ' Rubaru Roshni'. Directed by Svati Chakravarty Bhatkal, the film chronicles three real life story of grief and forgiveness.

<p>Few know that it was the trailblazer of New Wave cinema in India, the 'revolutionary' Mrinal Sen who discovered India's most famous voice in films and commercials. It happened long ago when Amitabh was no Big B but a “bachcha”, as Mrinalda says, desperate for a break in films.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The year was 1969. Sen was in Bombay to edit 'Bhuvan Shome', which he had finished shooting in Bhavnagar. He once went over to the house of his friend and script-writer, K A Abbas, who had then started work on 'Saat&nbsp;Hindustani'. Abbas was seated amidst a motley group from which he was to pick his cast and crew.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sen's visit was to find a good voice as the narrator of his film and, he told Abbas that he would like a new voice.&nbsp;</p>

<p>One “lambu” stood up and told Sen “Ami Bangla jaaney” (I know Bengali). Sen told “the boy” his Bengali was bad but his voice&nbsp;good, and good enough for a Hindi narration. The tall boy took on the assignment with the consent of Abbas.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After the voice over was done, Sen said he could not pay much. The boy said he didn't want payment because he did not do it for money. Sen insisted and paid him. The boy was eager to know whether his name would appear in the film. Sen assured him it will.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The boy’s name was Amitabh Bachchan. “But, don't mention Bachchan in the title, put only Amitabh,” he pleaded. Sen agreed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the credit titles of Mrinal Sen’s 'Bhuvan Shome' – the film that launched the parallel movement in Hindi cinema -- the voice-over artiste’s name “Amitabh” appears last. &nbsp;</p>

<p>This is, perhaps, the only film in which the Bachchan name figures at the end and not in full. My eye did not catch this detail when I saw the film in 1970s. Nor did I register the narrator’s baritone voice — heard for less than five minutes at the beginning and end of the film — that was to become famous and so familiar.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sometime later, the director and his voice-over artiste met in Calcutta and went to a function at the film journalists’ association. There, on seeing Amitabh, a reporter asked Sen, “Is he your next hero?” Sen liked the idea but had to find a role that suited him. Amitabh himself was keen to act in Sen’s films, and Sen did consider casting him in Interview. Amitabh too would have liked the role, except that Sen wanted an ordinary looking person. “And Amitabh was a striking personality”.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sen told me that “the boy” remembers all this. Some years ago he corrected a critic that the first voice-over he did was for 'Bhuvan Shome', and not for Satyajit Ray’s 'Shatranj ke Khiladi' in 1983. He also said that I paid him Rs 500. “Amitabh does not remember. It was only Rs 300”.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sen told me this story when I last met him in 2002 during a retrospective of his films at Delhi's India International Centre; and, I made it a point to pay attention to the unforgettable voice.&nbsp;<br />
